More than one in four children are growing up in poverty in the UK. It doesn’t have to be this way. The new UK government has announced its plans to develop a strategy to tackle child poverty, something that Child Poverty Action Group has led the way in calling for.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to play a pivotal role in delivering change for the 4.3 million children growing up in poverty. You will have a demonstrable track record in securing six figure and multi annual grants primarily from trusts, foundations and/or the National Lottery.
You will have the ability to work confidently as a creative and analytical problem solver, and a hands-on fundraiser. CPAG’s fundraised income has grown significantly, and the team raises nearly £3 million annually.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of fundraising income generation, and leading and supporting a small fundraising team. You will be able to build and nurture relationships with funders, donors and other stakeholders, and have excellent communication skills.

With a new UK government and over half of the MPs in Parliament new to their roles, it’s an exciting time to join our public affairs team as we look to push MS up the political agenda.
We’re looking for an experienced public affairs professional to join our Campaigns and Public Affairs team to support all of our parliamentary activity. You’ll pull together significant pieces of our engagement with MPs, Lords, staffers and other parliamentarians across Westminster and Whitehall and be a visible expert internally and externally. Working across large and varied policy areas, you’ll manage our All Party Parliamentary Group for MS and coordinate colleagues across the organisation to deliver on our influencing objectives.
Whether it’s about making sure people access groundbreaking treatments, tackling the poverty people face when living with MS, or making sure the right support is there when people need it most, as a Senior Public Affairs Officer you’ll be working directly on influencing campaigns aimed at important political stakeholders to ensure people with MS have a voice in Parliament.

The purpose of this role is to support the Digital Communications Manager in promoting, strengthening and protecting the reputation of the Academy by delivering and evaluating short- and long-term digital campaigns across key communications channels that engage and influence new and existing audiences.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a full-time basis.
As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Crouch End Branch, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. Working Pattern: 35 hours per week.

Some but not all key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
- Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
- Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines.
- Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.

Providing essential guidance and support to fundraisers within your area, your focus will be on ensuring supporters feel valued and engaged, helping them to maximise their fundraising potential. By building strong relationships, you'll also help to increase their fundraising impact, introducing them to other opportunities within the charity and offering tailored advice.

As the Training and Support Worker, you will play a pivotal part in the development of our programmes and training, through sharing partner insight, understanding the latest evidence and landscape of workplace inclusivity and keeping abreast of other providers in this space. About the role
You will be joining a friendly and hardworking Legacy Administration Team that is responsible for liaising with solicitors and lay executors to ensure that some 500 cases a year are dealt with sensitively and efficiently. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team.

You are proactive, have excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. You are a good communicator who is able to liaise sensitively and professionally with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. You will also have excellent IT and interpersonal skills, and ideally you will have experience or knowledge of legacy estate administration.
