Responsibilities of our Assistant Shop Manager:

As an Assistant Shop Manager you will assist with managing all shop activities and together with the wider management team, achieve set targets and maximise financial contribution to the charity. You will help with overseeing and managing all shop activities including recruiting, training and managing an effective team of volunteers; being responsible for the day to day running of the shop on days when the Shop Manager is not present, ensuring it meets agreed income and expenditure targets for Cats Protection and taking responsibility for the shop’s accounting procedures including cash reconciliation, daily banking and till procedures.

• Previous retail experience

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) plays a vital role in the mission and ministry of the Diocese of Guildford in challenging and championing a positive culture of safeguarding across our parishes, Cathedral, and worshipping communities.

The Panel provides oversight of safeguarding arrangements in the Diocese and provides  a source of independent advice, expertise, scrutiny and challenge on safeguarding strategy, policies and procedures.

As chair of the panel, you will work with a dedicated team of safeguarding experts, specialists and diocesan staff to ensure that the DSAP discharges its role of advising the Bishop of Guildford, the Diocesan Board of Finance and other senior leaders on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate will:

· Have extensive professional safeguarding and leadership experience.

· Hold an Academic or professional qualification in social or health care, police, education or legal discipline.

· Have experience of chairing complex, professional meetings at senior level in an efficient manner.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for two Support Workers (Community Connectors – Engagement Team) to join our team. We have two positions available one position in Aylesbury and one position in High Wycombe. Please state on the supporting statement which position (or both) you are applying for.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. As Complex Needs Community Keyworker you will provide one-to-one support to women on Probation living in the community, and women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision. You’ll provide focused support in identifying their needs and empowering them to access appropriate services in the community. You will also provide some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support prior to women being released from prison.

You will manage a caseload of women with complex needs who are facing housing issues and provide them with advice, guidance and support that helps them connect with other support services in the community that can assist them to overcome barriers when securing safe and appropriate housing.

The role involves a significant amount of data recording and updating case management systems so you need to be prepared to spend a minimum of 35% of your working hours on this aspect and will need to manage your time effectively to meet the data management requirements. This is also a predominantly independent role, so you will need to be confident to make decisions and able to manage your own workload.

You will be employed by One Small Thing but will be part of a wider team of Community Keyworkers employed by our partner Advance. You will also have a desk space at Hope Street, Southampton, to facilitate close working with the rest of the Hope Street team.

You will be required to participate in training and team building events with the wider One Small Thing team as well as the Advance team, in Hampshire.

This post requires that you are able to drive and have access to your own vehicle; there may be occasions where you are required to support residents to attend appointments. You will also be required to attend local or county meetings or training.

What You'll Do:

Leadership and Prevention: Lead, inspire, and effectively deliver training including in house and open courses and the delivery of bespoke workshops in the local community.

- Innovation and Empowerment: Channel your passion into providing training and promoting training courses for S&G Mind. Empowering people to build confidence, understanding and resilience whilst supporting themselves or others with mental health needs

- Quality and Leadership: As a S&G Mind Mental Health Trainer, you will lead on collecting data and evaluation forms in relation to training delivery.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
