We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Housing Support Worker to take a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive housing related support & development service to YMCA Leicestershire residents to enable them to build firm foundations for a positive future.

Salary: £27,144pa. (Grade C1)

Hours of Work: 40-hours per week including 1- hour paid lunch. This will include some evening and weekend work as well as being part of the emergency on call rota

Location: Based at the Aylestone Centre in Leicester (LE2).

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive housing related support & development service to YMCA Leicestershire residents to enable them to build firm foundations for a positive future as part of a person-centred approach tailored to individual needs.
• Holding a support caseload working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help young people identify and meet their personal, social, health, learning and employment needs as identified in their Support and Resettlement plan, within an average 6-month time frame.
• Carrying out weekly Health & Safety Room Checks of the accommodation in which young people are living
• Proactively managing and leading a team of support workers using organisational policies and contractual expectations.
• Developing and implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour in a professional manner
• Understanding and advising the team on the principles of relevant legislative frameworks

About you

As a Senior Housing Support Worker, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, with evidence of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with team members, young adults and multi-agency teams. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. You will be a proactive team-player and have experience of working disengaged young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

To succeed in the role of Transition Coach, your key skills will include:

• A recognised formal qualification in Social Work, Youth & Community Development, Housing, Criminology or relevant Social Science to degree level or equivalent.
• Proven experience at a comparable senior level
• Clear understanding of the needs of homeless people
• Direct experience of working with disengaged young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour
• Direct experience of working with a range of multi-agency partners at delivery level.

The role of the Community Facilitator is to work in collaboration with residents across Tower Hamlets to identify, establish and support local walking groups, led by residents themselves.

Can you help us to support new dads and dads-to-be?

We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Barnet, Brent and Harrow. They will work alongside our team of Coordinators, local Family Hubs and a range of services including Maternity, Health Visiting and Children's Services. 

The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. They will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Addtionally, they will help develop and run sessions with dads and will  be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.

This is a new post, and we are looking for someone who can build on our existing relationships and make a real impact on the mental health and wellbeing of new dads and dads-to-be. 

The work requires a combination of field-based community engagement and training, and regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Developing and maintaining an Estates log and diary to ensure the team always have an approved site to meet service users in mandated locations when needed and providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

• Experience of managing Customer Relationship Management systems, including inputting data and creating reports
• An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed practice and how to apply it in supporting service users
• Ability to develop and maintain means by which compliance with policy and procedure can be effectively monitored and reported on, including financial expenditure
• Impressive prioritisation relationship-building and interpersonal abilities
• First-class communication skills, both verbal and written
• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work

As well as being part of Beacon’s Children’s Services Team the successful candidate will work collaboratively with Pennie Care and be immersed within the wider Mental Health Support team for Stockport.

The Mental Health Support Team includes professionals from NHS services along with Beacon Emotional Wellbeing Workers.

You will be comfortable communicating and presenting to a variety of audiences, and have experience facilitating group work with children and young people.

About Coram Ambitious for Adoption

Coram Ambitious for Adoption Regional Adoption Agency [RAA] is a commissioned Voluntary Adoption Agency delivering statutory adoption support services and family finding for a number of local authority partners. The post adoption post holder will be located in Redbridge, as part of the wider RAA partnership located across London and surrounding areas. The hub services for the RAA include the recruitment, assessment and support of Coram approved adopters, which are located at the Coram Campus in London.

The post holder will be employed by Coram, a service with a long track record of serving children well and outstanding ratings from Ofsted. The task for the Regional Adoption Agency is to ensure that all children who have a plan for adoption are given every chance to have that ambition realised and when placed in a permanent family receive the relevant support as their needs change and develop.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Family Finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high quality family finding service for the London Borough of Redbridge, for children with a plan for adoption.

The post holder will have lead responsible professional for family finding, but will also assist the team with providing a statutory post adoption service [assessments for post adoption support and applications to the Adoption Support Fund] for families living within the local area.

The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. This role will function as a job share to offer continuity to the children we are family finding for.

We are recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

The scope of the role of the Financial Controller is to lead a best-in-class financial control function which:

• meets and exceeds the charity’s legal and statutory responsibilities
• builds finance capacity through efficient systems and processes

• ensures charity resources are protected
• meets the high-quality assurance standards

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise the processing of all financial transactions, ensuring adequate documentary support, correct coding and appropriate authorisation, such that the accounting system reflects the financial position of the charity.
• Supervise the processing of the payroll, ensuring coding is correct and all payments, including deductions, are made on time.
• Ensure month-end timetable is adhered to, making sure that all bank and control account reconciliations have been carried out and that other month-end procedures have been duly completed.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, approving any changes.
• Ensure all income is banked promptly and all liabilities are settled when due.
• Ensure all income and expenditure are appropriately analysed and restricted and designated funds are correctly accounted for.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• A fully qualified CCAB accountant
• Demonstrable experience in the preparation of SORP compliant accounts
• Strong internal control environments and effective month end and year-end routines
• Experience in the development of efficient business systems would also be desirable
• The ability to lead and develop a high performing team whilst successfully coordinating the work of the department to meet internal and external timescales is key to the role
• Excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to work within a cross-functional Leadership Team to continuously improve the service and support delivered by the Finance directorate
