About the role:

The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. · Manage key organisational communications related to Drinkaware’s positions, in conjunction with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and the Director of Evidence and Impact.

· Manage, review and update Drinkaware’s lines to take; its ‘boilerplate’ messages and its standard responses.

· Advise others on Drinkaware tone of voice and brand to help ensure all content leaving the organisation is on brand and enhances our reputation.

· Contribute to feeding media and strategic communications activity into the organisational planning process and overall plan.

· Contribute to key reference documents (organisational key messages; editorial guidelines etc)

· Deliver compelling content and plans to Drinkaware’s stakeholder audiences. Working with internal teams to target funders and other stakeholders including health professionals, police, local government and academics.

· Maximise our profile with B2B audiences via trade publications; social media and news outlets.

· Keep Drinkaware staff informed about Drinkaware coverage and other relevant coverage around alcohol and alcohol harm.

· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and journalists and build a positive network with media counterparts in Drinkaware partners and stakeholder organisations.

· Work with Drinkaware colleagues to maximise our communications’ reach and ensure we are working in an efficient and integrated way.

· Work with the Head of Media and Communications to develop Drinkaware’s reputation positively across all media, mitigating reputational risk and leading on crisis management

· Work with Head of Communications to plan and deliver effective Internal Communications

· Support the Senior Social Media & Digital Content Officer in manging the Drinkaware social channels when required.

Tone of voice

· Become expert in the Drinkaware Tone of voice, so you can advise others and spot errors

· Support the Creative Content Lead in embedding the Tone of voice across Drinkaware

You will have a track record of working within a similar role. You will have experience in working in a press office, devising and delivering stories and coverage. As part of our highly skilled, passionate and creative Media & Communications team, you will help to plan, implement and evaluate Drinkaware’s media and communications activities to drive positive coverage and comment about the charity across the UK. The Senior Individual Giving Officer will join the busy and passionate Individual Giving team as they need to build capacity during a period of growth. The main purpose of the role is to deliver and support the IG programme, ensuring income targets are met and compelling direct marketing fundraising campaigns and communications are delivered effectively. This will include digital, mail and phone direct marketing campaigns, making decisions on concept, creative and delivery.

You will have proven experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment and will have demonstrable experience of managing projects from start to finish within given budgets and timescales. You will have ideally worked with digital fundraising tools and will understanding current data legislation, particularly GDPR.

With a new government in power, this is a critical time for our countryside and an exciting time to join CPRE, the countryside charity. • To help develop the Chance to Shine ambassador scheme; maintaining relationships and organising visits
• Supporting the Director of Communications and Digital in the production of key publications and documentation
• Support public affairs activities, including drafting letters, preparing lobbying documents, sharing information, and raising awareness of the charity
• To drive content and media activations with key partners such as the England  and Wales Cricket Board and the Chance to Shine delivery network

Experience & qualifications

Essential:

· Track record of working across multiple projects, campaigns or media activations simultaneously

· Experience with developing and executing marketing calendars

· Experience of pitching stories to local and national media outlets 

· Familiarity with media monitoring tools

· Familiarity with campaign analysis tools

· Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Desirable:

• Experience in managing relationships with ambassadors or high-profile individuals

· Knowledge of Westminster and Parliament processes

· Experience in using graphic design tools

· Full and clean UK driver’s license

About the role

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Website and Digital Communications Officer. This role has been established to support and deliver the digital element of our communications, which involves monitoring our online presence and creating compelling and effective online content for our website, social media and other digital channels.

In this role you will:

· Update content for St Mungo’s website for various teams/functions as required, ensuring that it is properly modified for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) purposes.

· Supporting the pro-active monitoring of social media and respond in an appropriate and timely manner: X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn inclusive.

· Work with the Website and Digital Communications Manager to develop content across all platforms

· To support teams across the organisation in planning and implementing digital campaigns/campaigns with a digital element.

· To produce regular reports on the performance of our website, social media and other online activity. Share this intelligence and use it to inform strategy.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

· Demonstrable experience of working with social media (specifically X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), using social media listening tools and developing online content.

· Experience of web content editing, digital marketing and communications.

· Good project and time management skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· A keen appetite to learn and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

· Confidence using IT systems, including social media platforms, website content systems (specifically WordPress), video and Microsoft packages.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

This newly created position will support the Fundraising Compliance Manager to ensure fundraising and marketing activities meet the highest standards in an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

This varied role will work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues across the charity. No day will feel the same, as you provide expert advice and assurance on a diverse range of fundraising products and marketing communications, this includes TV ads, prize competitions, social lotteries, and direct marketing campaigns. The role will work closely with individual giving team and our professional fundraising agencies to assure they are meeting compliance commitments.

Key tasks will include;

• Responding to enquires and providing compliance guidance regarding fundraising activities and products
• Managing the internal compliance inbox.
• Supporting the fundraising team to monitor professional fundraisers
• Producing and applying guidance materials, policies and training materials based on fundraising related regulations and best practice.

 This position would suit a candidate with fundraising knowledge or experience  but would like to use their skills in a different way. Or perhaps you’re someone with a compliance or regulatory background who is keen to move into the charity world? An understanding of data protection would be beneficial, but training will be provided.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week from either their London or Sheffield office.
