The Intensive Care Society offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working and an expectation to go into their London office at least 1 day per week.
Both roles will report into the Head of Communications and will play a core role in the Society’s communications team providing the intensive care community with the information they need to care for patients and to continue raising the profile of intensive care to the public and Government. Key Responsibilities:
· To play a leading role in developing strategic marketing and communication advice and advising the senior management team and CEO
· Manage and implement marketing campaigns from planning to delivery and evaluation, ensuring they are informed by clear objectives and integrated across agreed channels in line with the Society’s Strategy and Plans
· Raise the profile of the Society using all communication channels delivering a consistent message to all stakeholders.
· Work with all areas of the organisation to communicate workstreams through newsletters, social media, blogs, websites and other mediums.
· Develop compelling content to highlight member successes and tell engaging membership stories. Utilise storytelling techniques to highlight member and sector achievements and contributions.
· Use our channels and networks to promote attendance across the Society’s event programme which includes one day seminar style events, the Intensive Care Society Awards and our flagship Congress, State of the Art.
· Take responsibility for data analysis and insight in relation to our website, email marketing, the CRM database, and streaming analytics to help inform decision-making and strategy, and also for reporting purposes across the organisation
· Work with Head of Communications to create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and marketing materials.
· Plan and manage design, content and production of communication materials to help tell the Society’s story.
Person Specification:
· A proven communications and/or B2C marketing professional with experience of using multiple channels for communications and B2C marketing purposes.
· Experience working with third parties to create content.
· Analytically minded with demonstrable ability to use data to improve future work.
· Experience managing both CMS and CRM systems
· Experience and confidence in managing difficult and challenging situations and stakeholders.

We have a very exciting new role with a health charity in Gloucestershire, ideal for someone with project management skills and experience, particularly in a marketing environment.
The focus of this post will be getting the component parts for a given project or campaign together, and ensuring everything works smoothly and to schedule in order to maximise publicity for the charity’s activities and services.

About the role

What will I be doing?
Develop strategic, two-way, face to face relationships with new and existing supporters to build the portfolio of donors making philanthropic gifts of £10k - £100k+
Utilise our More Research, Less Cancer campaign collateral and engagement programme, combined with your creativity and interpersonal skills, to cultivate, ask and steward philanthropic individuals.
Invite and host donors at appropriate high value and philanthropy events; often working with the events team to create tailored events or group engagement opportunities.
Present CRUK's work to donors in a format that is appropriate for their motivations, scientific literacy and gift capacity; develop a strong working knowledge of the campaign priorities and scientific work of CRUK and engage expert colleagues in the journey to help inspire support where beneficial.
Maximise potential support from each donor, for example as a senior volunteer; accessing their networks, expertise, or considering other avenues of support e.g. a gift in their Will
Contribute to the on-going implementation of the Leadership Giving level strategy to grow income from gifts between £10k-£1m; take up tasks and projects as needed, spot opportunities and connect with internal stakeholders across Philanthropy and beyond to drive success.
Ensure donor activity, KPI and financial information is accurate and up to date on the database, to aid monthly performance monitoring and forecasting.
What are you looking for?
You don't have to have experience in philanthropy or the not-for-profit sector. Cancer affects us all, and we are keen to have representation and insight from a range of different backgrounds. However, you will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience of delivering income through securing new business in a commercial sales environment, including having met or exceeded KPIs and financial targets over a sustained period.
Proven experience of building effective long-term relationships with individual stakeholders to deliver planned goals and income
Excellent stakeholder management skills; the ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with a wide range of individuals including internal colleagues, institutional leaders, scientists and donors.
Tenacious and self-motivated approach to work and performance; target driven.
Exceptional listening skills and efficient written and oral communication skills; an inspiring and engaging communication style.
The intellectual curiosity to understand and communicate complex areas of scientific research.

Trinity’s ability to deliver its outstanding care to patients and their families is reliant on the Compton fundraising team at Trinity delivering ambitious funding results. The role of Supporter Care Manager is a vital role in our delivery of fundraising services to our client and is a new role created by splitting our current Database & Supporter Care Manager role into two separate roles. This role will focus on the quality of our donor journey, associated communications and the accuracy of our reporting in conjunction with our client’s Finance team.
The Supporter Care Manager will ensure that all processes for recording and thanking donations is accurate, timely and meets regulatory and reporting requirements, whilst providing a friendly and supportive donor experience. Assessing current processes, identifying, and implementing improvements in collaboration with the Database Manager will be a key focus. The successful applicant will have a passion for leading a team to deliver excellent supporter care and donor communications whilst working with and supporting the wider Fundraising team to deliver results for our client and their beneficiaries.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Manage the Supporter Care Officers and several Fundraising Volunteers - providing mentoring and training and completing performance and development reviews.
- Deliver excellent supporter care to our client’s donors and supporters and reporting to the wider Fundraising team.
- Ensure that the best donor experience and journey is in place across all income lines.
- Work closely with the Database Manager to identify and implement process improvements and where possible system automations.
- Ensure that individual processes are mapped out and that clear instructions and training are in place to mentor and support the Supporter Care team.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Director of Fundraising.
- Collaborate with the wider Fundraising management team to provide advice and support in the implementation of new fundraising campaigns and events.
- Work as part of the wider Fundraising team providing support and participating in other duties where required.
- Work in a hybrid model of some days in the office and others from home.
Required experience, knowledge, skills and characteristics:
- Experience of delivering excellent supporter care or customer care in a charitable or commercial setting.
- Good working knowledge of the Raisers Edge database and donor record management and an expert understanding in the input and recording of all donor data – particularly consent and gift aid information.
- Experience of managing a team to deliver excellent supporter or customer care.
- Good knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations governing interactions with donors and the recording and use of information.
- Good understanding of the administrative processes required to log and successfully claim Gift Aid on individual gifts.
- Strong organisation and evaluation skills and ability to prioritise workflow and resources.
- Desire to exceed expectations and deliver the best supporter experience and journey.
Desired experience, knowledge, skills and characteristics:
- Experience of training and mentoring others to ensure the best donor experience.
- Automation of imports from various fundraising platforms.

About the role
You will join us at an exciting time ahead of launching our new three-year strategy, which puts growing our non-statuary income at its centre. This new role recognises the importance of this work and its impact on our cause.
Our aim is to increase commercial income at Solent Mind by at least 50% over the next three years. The Commercial Manager will generate business analysis, gather market insights, and explore creative new ideas to develop new and increase existing commercial activity across the charity. These insights will feed into business plans and be used to influence and shape operational delivery, increasing both income and surplus levels.
This role is within Solent Mind’s fundraising and external engagement team, working with colleagues across the charity. It is an exciting and dynamic place to work with opportunities to contribute to wider projects and develop your skills.
About you
You’ll be experienced in the analysis and benchmarking of the performance of commercial activity through a review of data such as sales levels, turnover, cost of sales, footfall, and walk patterns, amongst other data sources. You’ll be able to identify new creative ideas for commercial income. You will be experienced in creating clear, actionable business plans for commercial activity while supporting colleagues in the delivery of this plan ensuring sustainability of the commercial income.

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager focusing on our Outreach support across the Northwest. This purpose of this role is to manage and maintain high levels of service delivery. You will directly oversee four Coordinators. You will work with those Coordinators to ensure that; contractual KPI's are met, clients are supported effectively, staff are developed, and internal process and procedures are followed, to a high standard. Where required, you will also play a role in implementing service and system improvements
Responsibilities
- Oversight, line management, and support of Coordinators, incl. effective supervisions and yearly appraisals.
- Ensure all KPIs and service standards are met by staff incl. referrals, exits, paperwork submission.
- Use baseline, checklists, quality control and other systems to monitor and support effective service delivery.
- Ensure staff effectively carry out their roles, as per their job description.
- Manage service user or external complaints with the support of Senior Service Manager.
- Work with the other Service Managers, and all stakeholders to use, support and develop appropriate systems and processes, to ensure that services function effectively.
- Ensure all service users are being supported effectively, and assist Coordinators with problem-solving and managing incidents/safeguarding issues, where necessary
- Work in partnership with Safeguarding lead
- Ensure all staff are supported and managed effectively, incl. ensuring annual-leave/sickness/TOIL procedure is followed by Coordinators.
- Ensure appropriate lone-working safety procedures are implemented and developed ere required.
- Ensure all month-end procedure is followed by staff, and information submitted effectively.
- Oversight and regular monitoring of CMS (client-management-system).
- Maintain and develop local services and agency links, attending suitable networking meetings as requested.
- Attend relevant team meetings – incl. management meetings, and local team meetings.
- Communicate with the Salvation Army team where necessary.
- Work alongside P&C team to support Coordinators in managing or problem-solving any HR-related issues.
- Assist in developing and delivering training for staff.
- Communicating with the finance team appropriately with regards to month-end, financial requirements for the local services, and problem-solving.
- Sign off expenses and spend in-line with expenses policy.
- Oversight of staff and on-call rotas.
- Following all Causeway policies and procedures, and bringing insight into policy and procedural development.
- Take a role in supporting volunteers in the region, when required.
- To be ‘on-call’, out of hours approximately one week in four - managing and accepting referrals, and dealing with out-of-hours incidents.
- Oversee other services or a team in the absence of Coordinator (ie. Holiday or sickness).
- To maintain and build the Causeway culture and values across the staff team in the region.

Role Profile
You’ll work in a multifunctional, three person project team alongside a Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Creative Expert. The three of you will cover everything needed to execute your projects, coordinating with our technology team and working with external design capacity to deliver outstanding results for your partners, and renew and grow your partnerships.
The teams are designed to be flexible and nimble, chopping and changing who does what to best meet the needs of the project and the capacity of each team member. However, each role has a set of primary areas of expertise which you’ll typically be in charge of on most projects. As the team’s expert in those areas, it’s your responsibility to make sure your team does them to an exceptional standard, whether you’re delivering them yourself or supporting a team member to cover them on a given project.
As a Digital Strategy Expert, your primary areas of expertise are all things strategy, project management and delivery. Your key role in the team is to make sure the execution of our projects is smooth, efficient and high quality, whether that’s through smart strategic planning, tight project management or insightful data analysis. As well as taking ads management and email and page builds on some projects, you’ll also be called on to support the DCE with copywriting and potentially the DSM with proposal writing.

Abilities and experience you’ll need to have

1.5+ years’ experience working in digital campaigning or digital fundraising, with proven experience of delivering results against goals

Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions

Experience of using digital tools to build and send mass emails, comfort with managing lists

Benefits and location
Salary: £34,162 if you live inside London, £30,502 (plus £3,000 travel expense allowance) if you live outside London. Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.
Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.
Hours: We work a 30-hour 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday. Please note - as this is a full time role, you are not permitted to undertake any additional regular paid work on the Friday.
Location: You can work remotely from anywhere in the UK or use our office in London Fields, East London. You will need to be able to come to London once or twice a month for in-person meetings, otherwise most of our meetings are held via video conferencing and all our workflow is built to be remote-first.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working fundraiser to build relationships with our community, corporate and NHS staff supporters and play a key role in managing our events.
Working as part of a team of five, and reporting to the Relationship & Events Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering income through effective donor acquisition, building and maintaining effective relationships and providing fundraising support to our donors and volunteers. You will represent the Charity in the community, with local companies and in the hospitals, as well as attending and organising fundraising events.
