Job Purpose

This is an exciting time to be joining Barnsley CVS and the development of its volunteer offer, working closely with the Barnsley Refugee Advice Project to ensure best practice.

The main purpose of the role is to facilitate better integration of refugee’s, migrants, and asylum seekers into community life in Barnsley using the vehicle of volunteering as a means of supporting this.

You will be responsible for building a strong and trusted relationship with the refugee and asylum seeking community; ensuring potential volunteers are well supported to easily access volunteer roles in Barnsley and playing a significant role in community cohesion. You are likely to provide support through 1-1 support, small group sessions or carefully worded website adverts and information.  Alongside this, you will work closely with voluntary and community sector groups to help them develop appropriate opportunites, ensure good practice and create a network of trusted organisations.

You will need a passion for volunteering and inclusion, patience to work with vulnerable communities and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in both a written and spoken context.

Main duties

Individual support

· Providing direct support to individuals from Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community to find community-based volunteering roles

· To support the potential volunteer through the application process

· To support the potential volunteer through the recruitment and selection process

· To provide support to the volunteer during the settling in period

Support to organisations

· To work with organisations to ensure that volunteer policies and procedures are inclusive

· Work with organisations to provide high quality support to volunteers from the Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community

· Provide support and guidance in relation to obtaining DBS and equivalent checks where necessary

· Provide information, advice, training and assistance to organisations on the implementation, management and monitoring of volunteering activities

Collaboration

· The post-holder will be expected to work in collaboration with the Barnsley Refugee and Advice Partnership

· To attend the migrant drop-in and work in collaboration with the partners of the migrant network

· To work in collaboration with other Volunteer Coordinators both internally and externally through attendance at the Volunteer Coordinators / Managers meetings hosted by Barnsley CVS

· To attend workshops, group meetings, market places to help network and promote the volunteer services of Barnsley CVS

· To create reports reflecting the progress and learnings of the project to both report to the local authority and to assist in development

About the role

We seek an experienced Business Development Manager to drive our UK growth and expand our client and partner base. Reporting directly to the CEO, (initially) you will lead our sales strategy targeting UK businesses, with a particular focus on small and medium businesses, and public sector organisations.

• Execute the sales growth strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Proactively identify and ensure new business opportunities, partnerships and collaboration
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with HR/talent leaders, MDs and decision-makers in UK businesses and/or public sector organisations
• Lead and manage the end-to-end sales and account management process, including lead identification, proposal/bid writing, pitching, and closing deals
• Develop and implement new revenue-generating business models, including subscription-based models, to expand reach, drive recurring revenue and client satisfaction
• Represent The Human Edge at conferences/events supporting with external engagement

About you

You are a commercially minded, results-driven and action-oriented business development professional with 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in B2B sales and income generation within the leadership development, coaching, and mentoring and skill building/training sectors. Skilled in securing new business, developing growth strategies and building long-term client relationships, you leverage your established network of HR/talent leaders and Managing Directors in UK businesses, with a particular focus on small and medium businesses, and/or public sector to enable consistent revenue growth.

The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow and diversify individual giving income streams. This role will focus on managing and expanding our lottery, regular giving, cash appeals, in memory giving and raffles programs.

NRAS has an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Manager as we move into a period of expansion of the team and the start of our new 3 year strategy. The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow and diversify individual giving income streams. This role will focus on managing and expanding our lottery, regular giving, cash appeals, in memory giving and raffles programs.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is the only organisation in the UK specialising in both rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Due to its targeted focus on RA and JIA, NRAS provides truly expert and wide-ranging services to support, educate and campaign for people living with these complex autoimmune conditions, their families and the health professionals who treat them.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lottery Promotion: 
   • Develop and implement strategies to increase lottery participation and income. 
   • Create and monitor a lapsed lottery journey. 
   • Manage relationships with external lottery providers. 
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. 
   • Plan and manage raffle campaigns to maximise participation and revenue. 
2. Regular Giving: 
   • Develop and implement strategies to grow our regular giving program. 
   • Manage donor retention and upgrade strategies. 
   • Analyse regular giving performance and optimise programmes based on insights. 
   • Manage the Membership recruitment process 
3. Cash Appeals: 
   • Plan and execute cash appeal campaigns, including direct mail and digital appeals. 
   • Analyse campaign performance and optimise future appeals based on insights. 
   • Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling appeal content. 
4. In Memory Giving: 
   • Develop and promote in memory giving opportunities. 
   • Promote the use of Tribute Funds and other related products. 
   • Ongoing stewardship of supporter in-memory. 
5. Other Activity: 
   • Lead and implement the individual giving donor journey, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for supporters at all stages. 
   • Focus on retention and stewardship by maintaining and deepening relationships with existing donors, ensuring they feel valued and connected to the charity’s impact, and encouraging continued support. 

Position in Organisation

The post holder will report to the COO. This role is part of the wider fundraising team.The post holder will work closely with:

Qualifications/Experience

High levels of numeracy

Degree level or equivalent.

• Proven experience in individual giving fundraising, including lottery, cash appeals, in memory giving, raffles, and regular giving.

• Possible travel throughout the UK, involving some overnight stays.
• Attendance and participation in team meetings.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the NHC’s individual giving plan, including developing and delivering supporter acquisition, retention and stewardship plans with a focus on growing long-term sustainable income, reach and engagement. Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Comms, the post-holder will be responsible for fundraising from individuals across the East Midlands to increase annual income and awareness of Nottingham Hospitals Charity.  Working with a diverse range of prospects and donors, the post-holder will raise funds from individuals at all giving levels as well as cultivating and growing our legacy market. • Achieve or exceed agreed income and productivity targets through successful development and management of IG fundraising
   
• Cultivate and grow income through engaging a portfolio of individual donors (from regular givers to higher value donors), legacy prospects and in-memory donors
   
• Develop and implement a creative and innovative IG fundraising action plan to grow income, generate new leads and manage ongoing relationships
   
• Work with the Head of Marketing to build and execute a plan to grow awareness and acquisition of regular and legacy sign-ups for all IG income streams
   
• Line management of the Fundraising Assistant, in partnership with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager
   
• Conduct prospect research to identify best prospects and plan approaches to introduce the Charity to secure support from low to high value donor

You'll be responsible for delivering a variety of supporter and organisation data for marketing campaigns, by selecting and segmenting the optimum audiences in Adobe Campaign, in order to deliver maximum campaign cost-effectiveness. You will support junior members and take responsibility for some of the day-to-day procedures ensuring the team deliver accurate data and within SLA's. Further to this, you'll work closely with your manager and marketing teams to improve processes and campaign automation.

What will I be doing?

• Managing and allocating the delivery of incoming briefs, overseeing the team's workload to deliver accurate data within SLAs

• Consulting regularly with campaign managers to ensure their segmentation needs are met, identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance through data selections

• Delivering data counts, selections and data extracts using Adobe Campaign and supervising delivery by junior members of the team

• Maintaining a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and advise campaign managers on data selections, ensuring that all groups of supporters are considered appropriately and that we are maximising the value of our contactable base

• Ensuring that all selections and administrative tasks are scheduled in line with the campaign planning schematic and that campaign activity is carried out in line with business rules

• Participating in projects or leading discrete project work and supporting other areas of Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement as and when required

• Mentoring junior members of the selections team, guiding and upskilling them to deliver on selections

• Collaborating with others to improve our ways of working and campaign automation

• Working closely with other members of the Data Portfolio and Product teams to ensure that all data is captured and held in an effective way to enable data selections to take place effectively.

What skills will I need?

• Knowledge and experience of Adobe Campaign or other Martech products to build campaign audiences

• Experience of creating database queries/workflows to select and segment data for marketing purposes

• Experience of managing own and others' workloads, meeting deadlines and effectively handling changing priorities

• Good team player with the ability to build effective working relationships and coach junior team members

• The ability to consult on and understand fundraising and marketing strategic business requirements

• Good communication skills combined with strong levels of interpersonal and negotiation skills

Job Advert: Events Officer (Venue Hire & Corporate Relations)

The Role

The Events Officer (Venue Hire & Corporate Relations) is a brand-new role within our Programming team. We are seeking a proactive, target driven Events professional with great interpersonal skills, who thrives in a busy working environment and who will enjoy making a valuable contribution to our Charity. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven and have a strong background in venue hire management and corporate relationship development, with experience in delivering successful events that meet client expectations and business objectives. The role will work alongside a team of professionals who each deliver the core programme for our iconic visitor attraction.

Key Responsibilities

Venue Hire Management

• Successfully deliver budgeted income targets for venue hires.
• Oversee the booking, scheduling, and coordination of venue hire events at Winchester Science Centre ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
• Manage client inquiries and provide expert advice on venue availability, layout options, and event suitability.
• Develop and maintain an efficient booking system for venue hire, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all event logistics are handled efficiently.

Corporate Relationships

• Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, including event organisers and business partners.
• Identify new opportunities for corporate event bookings, leveraging existing networks and prospecting new leads.
• Maintain regular communication with corporate clients to ensure expectations are met, providing a high level of customer service and post-event follow-up.
• Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, providing guidance and support throughout the event planning and execution process.

Event Planning & Coordination

• Support clients in planning and coordinating events held within the Science Centre, utilising the venues unique attributes.
• Coordinate logistics with internal teams such as catering, AV requirements, duty management.
• Ensure that event hires align within the Wonderseekers charitable objectives.
• Management of individual event budgets maximising resources and ensuring budgeted targets are met.

Sales & Marketing Support

• Contribute to the development and execution of marketing campaigns aimed at promoting the venue and corporate event services.
• Assist with the preparation of promotional materials, proposals, and presentations to prospective corporate clients.

Operational support

• Duty Managing on the day of events and being responsible for motivating, inspiring and delegating tasks to team members, ensuring events are operating at maximum efficiency through rota management.
• Act as Duty Manager, when needed, being responsible for the whole building.
• Overseeing the visitor experience journey for events, ensuring customers have a memorable and positive experience.
• Be an excellent team player and lead by example.
• Overseeing event set up and building management during events including maintaining general cleanliness, reporting faults to the Estates team, completing health and safety and fire alarm checks as required and routinely inspecting facilities both inside and outside.
• Overseeing bar, admissions and retail operations during an event when required.
• To follow risk assessments, health and safety standards, safeguarding and access requirements providing a safe, secure and accessible environment for our visitors.
• Remaining calm and in control in order to assist in challenges such as customer complaints and changing staffing needs.
• Work closely across departments to ensure high-quality delivery.
• General events support such as cleaning, tidying, restocking and serving refreshments.

Key Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in event management, with a focus on venue hire and corporate client relationships.
• Proven track record in managing corporate events and driving sales.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with clients and customers at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

About the Role

As HR Operations Manager, you will be a key player in the Operations team to support Reprieve and its employees with all HR related matters. Your role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of HR. You will be the first point of contact for all staff relating to HR queries, policies, processes, pension, probation and development.
