· managing a busy office, building maintenance, managing security and health and safety
· organising large scale meetings
· managing, supporting and co-ordinating volunteers
· working within budgets according to agreed procedures
You’ll also need a good working knowledge of IT systems, databases, web content management systems and Microsoft Office suite.

The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. Main Responsibilities:
- Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
- Construction of automated tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.
- To assist the fundraising team by providing administrative support for the charities events and campaigns to maximise income.
- To assist with the administration of event participants and ticket buyers, including responding to enquiries in a timely fashion, building relationships by phone and email and encouraging and motivating participants to meet and exceed targets
- To keep up to date records of all collection boxes and buckets in the community
- To be the first point of contact for phone face to face plus emails via the fundraising inbox for all fundraising enquiries, respond in a timely manner and recognise the opportunity to build relationships and encourage fundraising support.
- To run and analyse weekly financial reports to ensure donations are recorded correctly and the appropriate thank you has been sent.
- Support regular gift aid claim submissions to HMRC to take place monthly.
- Support the team to provide communications to the correct audiences for marketing activity.

- Work with the fundraising team to ensure data recording is kept up to date in a timely way

The role of the Direct Marketing Executive is a varied one. Working with different teams & suppliers, you will be supporting and delivering direct marketing campaigns online, offline and across a range of media channels. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Campaign Management
· Support with planning and delivery of a wide range of supporter engagement and fundraising activities including digital marketing and face-to-face fundraising.
· Support with the creation of content copywriting for digital adverts.
· Work with others in the team to conduct mystery shopping, shadowing and call listening to measure fundraising quality and ensure compliance.
· Liaise with designers, printers, mailing houses, agencies, and fulfilment houses.
· Support the day-to-day management of fundraising agencies and suppliers, ensuring relationships are effective and productive.
· Assist in the production and delivery of motivating fundraiser training.
· Support in recommendations for change and refinement across the direct marketing programme.
Finance & Reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Execute effective global marketing campaigns using a mix of channels (email, social media, PPC, web, etc.).
● Manage our social media channels and lead community engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X, building relationships with corporate partners and other stakeholders.
● Develop automated email journeys and tailored content to increase account-holder engagement and retention.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who is looking for a new challenge and who can hit the ground running in this exciting new role. Therefore, you will have a strong track record of professional, broad fundraising experience from a relevant charity sector along with lots of enthusiasm and creativity.
This fundraising role will have a special focus on public fundraising and developing our fast-growing community of 3,000+ members and developing and engaging this natural group of supporters.

The Role
The Supporter Journey Team is responsible for delivering world-class behavioural journeys for our charity partners.

What you’ll be doing
- The post holder will help advance Ukie’s policy work on aspects of UK and international policy impacting the games and interactive entertainment industry through:
- Monitoring policy changes and providing in-depth policy analysis, research, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Relationship building and engagement with Ukie members and wider sector stakeholders, including attendance at internal and external stakeholder meetings and coalition industry groups.
- Support the Senior Policy Manager in research for Ukie’s external consultation responses, co-ordinating with members and facilitating internal forums for discussions on particular issues.
- Support in organising events and engagement with policy makers within Whitehall, Westminster, the Devolved Governments and with regional, combined and local authorities as well as with our global partners in the EU, US and further afield.
- Assisting the policy and research teams with major public affairs projects and campaigns according to the UKIEs internal strategy and drawing on Ukie’s internal data and external partners where appropriate.
- Supporting and promoting Ukie at external political meetings, including our bi-annual Westminster Games Week.
- Support in raising the profile of Ukie and its significant policy priorities through external communications in partnership with the Ukie campaigns team, and through public scrutiny such as the use of written parliamentary questions.
- Acting as the lead point of contact for the APPG on Video Games and Esports to which Ukie acts as the secretariat and taking responsibility for liaising with its members.
- Lead on external policy communications such as the Ukie Policy Byte, the bi-weekly political newsletter, with support from Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy where necessary.
- Be responsible for the team administration of internal stakeholder meetings, including sending out invites, taking minutes and preparing relevant material as well as maintaining up to date email lists of all stakeholders.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with games industry member businesses and a wide range of external bodies; including partner organisations, government officials and other trade bodies.
- Support the Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy in the management of Ukie’s internal stakeholder groups – including Ukie’s policy group and its various working sub groups.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement trackers and act as a point of contact for external engagement with Parliamentarians, regional politicians and their offices.
- Support the Head of Policy and Chief Executive in any external engagements.
- Support the policy team and wider Senior Management team with other reasonable tasks as required
Qualifications and experience required for this role
Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a degree to apply for this role, but experience of working in a policy facing role, public affairs agency or regulatory environment would be advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided via Ukie or external providers where appropriate.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm
- Expectation that some evening and weekend work may be required to attend or run Ukie events as the business requires.
