The role:

We are searching for an inspired, motivated person looking to change the world. Working with the growing community of UK B Corps, the role will provide key assistance to our Community Team. The role will also include campaign administration, data collection & reporting and online community engagement along with ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Community support

• Managing the community inbox, alongside fellow Community Assistant

• Allocating emails to relevant people

• Replying to frequently asked questions through the community inbox

• Creating canned responses, categorising emails and highlighting priority questions to Engagement Managers & Coordinators.

• Reporting monthly on incoming email trends and patterns, and using this data to  inform  improvements to Community Team resources.

• Updating contact data ad hoc on salesforce.

• Championing the meeting of Team SLAs by providing insights and reminders to colleagues

Community Team

Assist with a range of Community team administrative tasks including those of Working Groups, B Locals, and our Ambassadors programme

Engagement:

• Assist with activities which enable Community engagement including:

• Managing data in salesforce and ensure consistency in existing community databases

• Assist with invoicing and invoice tracking where appropriate

• Supporting our B Corp onboarding process 

• Share B Lab generated content on the B Hive and assisting engagement activities and events such as B Socials & B Corp Month.

• Content creation and content capture

• Occasionally writing content and follow up from events and webinars

• Help to capture content from the community and developing ways to share it (i.e the B Hive)

Skills and Experience

Essential

Birmingham Hospice are opening more shops and as a result is looking for a new Retail Area Manager to join it’s Retail Area Manager Team.

About Art History Link-Up

Fewer than 1% of state schools offer History of Art A level yet the creative industries provided 2.4 million jobs and generated over £126 billion in 2022. We believe that art history shouldn’t belong to just the handful of people who currently have the opportunity to study it, but that every young person, regardless of background, should be able to enjoy and benefit from our rich visual culture

AHLU is a registered charity offering free courses for state students since 2016. Prior to the pandemic our classes were based at the National Gallery and the Wallace Collection. We moved our classes online as a result of the pandemic with great success. Since September 2022 we have been offering hybrid courses at the Courtauld Institute, Somerset House.

AHLU has taught art history to over 500 students from over 300 schools across the UK. Our alumni are now studying art history at Russell Group universities across the UK, including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and the Courtauld Institute.

Since 2022 we’ve been piloting, developing and expanding courses for younger secondary age students, in London and beyond. In 2024 onwards, we are piloting Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) courses, a student-directed qualification equivalent to up to half a GCSE, in collaboration with the Courtauld, Waddesdon Manor, and schools and centres in and outside London. We are working with an external evaluation consultant to ensure we record best practice and outcomes in our work.

We are working with communications consultant, Nadine Thompson, to deliver our ‘art history for everyone’ communications strategy and media campaign as we move towards our tenth anniversary in 2027.

EYPDAS Substance Misuse Practitioner

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support young people when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for young people, every step of the way.  

This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for young people who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services within the Essex area.  

We wish to recruit 2 Substance Misuse Practitioners to join our established Essex Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Team (EYPDAS) supporting young people aged 8-25 who are using or misusing substances.

You will provide direct therapeutic support to vulnerable young people, vulnerable young adults and families who are affected by substance use.

Support offered will include one to one face to face interventions, targeted group work & online support across the County. You may also facilitate training around substances for statutory and voluntary agencies across the County. 

The young people will require a skilled practitioner who is experienced in working with hard to reach, vulnerable young people at risk and using trauma informed therapeutic approaches. You should have experience of facilitating groups with knowledge of the issues and legislation affecting young people who are using or misusing substances. 

What we are looking for...

-You will have substantial experience in working with vulnerable young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. To be able to evidence your ability to build positive relationships with groups of young people to raise awareness about substance use and the associated risks and impact. 

-You will have experience of carrying out individual and group work interventions with young people & adults. 

-You will have experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems.  

-You can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative as well as be able to contribute to a multi-agency approach so as to enable effective interventions with young people, including delivering training to a range of professionals.

Location: Community based in the South Devon area with some home working elements
Contract: 21 hour part time role
It is an exciting time to join Alzheimer's Society and the Group Facilitator role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support they need whilst enjoying meaningful and often exciting activities.
Our groups in South Devon are an integral part of the community and to people living with Dementia, they have been a life line to many. The groups include 2 memory cafes that operate once a month and 2 Singing for The Brain groups, that operate twice a month. The facilitator will attend these groups and support the volunteers in activities, organising speakers and bringing the group together. The successful candidate will be managing a supportive and experienced team of dedicated volunteers.
You will:

- Setup, promote, establish, organise and facilitate or deliver group(s) and ensure that all attending are supported to fully engage in the session.
- Recruit and guide volunteers that the volunteers have clarity about their roles and undertake appropriate training.
- Take views and feedback of service users, taking into account the individual needs of members of the group.
- Assist the service users to feel welcome and to understand the aims and benefit of the group(s), and welcome all new attendees, providing information about the group.
- Proactively support an inclusive and welcoming working environment where all people we support feel able to be themselves.

About you
We are looking for a compassionate, supportive person with a good understanding of dementia and how it impacts both the person with the diagnosis and the carer. Our role requires excellent communication skills to engage people in group activities, ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as the carer. The Alzheimer’s Society also offers a wide range of training and opportunities to enhance your knowledge base.
You will:

- To understand the importance of volunteers in group services and the ability to role manage volunteers to support them in their role.
- Good knowledge of dementia and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers
- Experience of co-ordinating individuals/teams or volunteers.
- Good computer skills are required to facilitate virtual groups, and to complete accurate records on the computer system.
- The ability to travel independently to the locations the service covers.
- A drive to enhance on areas of knowledge that may be limited and build on your knowledge that is already there.
- A warm and welcoming nature and approach.

The Childrens Society 'Safe in Essex' Project Worker

1 x Project Worker Essex based in Chelmsford working County Wide

£29,855 per annum, 37 hours per week.

We wish to recruit a Project Worker to cover the County of Essex, based both at home and within our central office in Chelmsford. To deliver the work of The Children's Society to children, young people and families around a range of risky behaviors including child sexual exploitation, trafficking, running away, truanting, gangs, risky sexual behaviours, aggressive and challenging behaviours through the use of individual support and group work, thereby ensuring the children and young people and their families live safely and confidently in their communities.

Your experience is key in securing this role: You will need substantial experience in working with vulnerable children and young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. You will have experience of developing and facilitating groups with young people and delivering one to one support both virtually and face to face in the school, community or home setting.

Ideally but not essentially you will have, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. a Diploma/Certificate in Youth and Community work, counselling, social care or related NVQ.

A key part of this role will be your ability to deliver engaging groups covering risky topics to young people across the county.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Experience working with young people in a group and one to one setting

-Have access to a car and a full UK driving license

The role

We have a vacancy for a Regional Administrator working 17.5 hours per week (3 days per week including Wednesday & Friday). You would be joining a dedicated and friendly team of regional staff and volunteers. The ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player is essential.

It is an exciting time to be joining Cruse, as we are in the process of improving our processes and services to strengthen the support that we offer to bereaved people and our volunteers. The post holder will coordinate and assist with the delivery of all aspects of service contracts in the Lambeth Borough of London, supporting the Regional Manager and the wider team. The role is mainly home working with occasional meeting attendance and service delivery within Lambeth. Networking and engaging with local groups / communities will form an essential element to the role, as well as providing initial contact and support to residents in the Lambeth area.

You will be the first point of contact within the service for bereaved people, third parties and external organisations. Additionally, you will support volunteers in the delivery of services and support the overall day-to-day running of the Lambeth service.

We organise youth work training, bring members together to share successes and find solutions, support organisations to be safe and are champions of youth work in Somerset.

Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, we are able to recruit a Communications and Events Lead who will support the Alliance to develop and implement branding and communications strategies, as well as coordinate and support Alliance events. Bringing youth organisations together and keeping them informed is a key priority for the project and will contribute to the developmental and collaborative culture of the Alliance.

This is a fixed-term role, working 37.5 hours per week until end of March 2026. The salary is £28,000 per annum (pro rata).
