Role purpose
As Digital Communications Manager, you will be using digital communication channels to support the engagement of our community of supporters, partners, patients, families and staff in the work of the charity and helping realise our shared ambition with the Trust to be national leaders in the delivery of patient care and health innovation. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the Digital Communications Manager will be proactive in shaping and managing the charity’s digital presence (including the website), with a strong focus on tracking and using data. Key responsibilities

People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training
- With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
- Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
- Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature, bringing people together who love birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the health and diversity of the natural world. To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.
- Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
- Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
- Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
- Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
- Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and our funders
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst kidney patients, their families, carers and professionals across the region
• Provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity
• Work in a way that respects the personal, social, cultural and spiritual needs of the individual and maintains the confidentiality of information they may have shared with you

About the Role
As our Senior Media Officer, you will play a vital part in our busy media team by delivering dynamic and creative campaigns to influence Government and NHS policy as well as supporting the team's Press Office function, capitalising on PR opportunities, improving stakeholder buy-in, and reducing reputational risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the health communications yearly plan, aiming to raise awareness of heart and circulatory diseases through the media.
- Work with Medical and Marketing teams to propose, develop, and deliver ambitious and influential communications campaigns.
- Deliver PR activity that supports the BHF’s priority health and influencing campaigns, including reporting on improving survival rates from cardiac arrest through our Revivr and The Circuit programmes, reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and influencing around NHS healthcare.
- Create engaging content and press releases aimed at a range of different audiences to position the BHF as a leading voice in media narratives around health and policy and promoting the BHF’s information and support services to patients.

Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dually located between your home and our London office.
As the role supports the BHF’s busy press office, you will participate in our out of hour’s service on a rotational shift basis

About you
With a strong news sense, especially across the medical landscape, you will have the ability to react responsibly to external opportunities using your extensive creative expertise alongside your experience of strong media campaigns.
You can quickly to pick up on new and often complex scientific material, then condensing it into context that will connect to audiences of all levels will be essential to the role. You’ll also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering media campaigns. This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.
Purpose of Role
As a Senior PR Officer, you will play an important role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2025 campaign, that inspire people to get involved and demonstrate the life changing work donations make possible.
You will work across a broad and exciting range of projects that creatively combine the worlds of entertainment and charity whilst driving income, awareness, and brand consideration at a time when the charity gets set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.
You will need to have a thorough understanding of the UK media landscape, feel confident in approaching journalists with new ideas and have proven success in generating quality print, online and broadcast coverage at both a regional and national level.
Running Comic Relief’s busy Press Office alongside PR campaigns is a responsibility shared by all team members. You will have experience of working in an individual giving/supporter care team or marketing role within the charity sector managing campaigns and supporter communications. With a proven track record in delivering successful campaigns, the ability to work to tight deadlines and with excellent attention to detail, you will be able to effectively manage key relationships internally and externally to deliver on campaigns with agreed time frames.
