Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.
It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.
The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! Position
As part of the Financial Sector Standards Directorate, the Co-Head of Investor Engagement is responsible for leading ShareAction’s engagement with asset owners, asset managers and investment consultants. The role is key to establishing, sustaining and deepening constructive relationships with investment professionals at the heart of the financial system, challenging, encouraging and supporting them to raise their ambition on climate, nature, decent working conditions and people’s health. This is a new role that has been created from a restructure of the team that we hope will allow both parts to work more collaboratively.
In this role, you will be accountable for designing and leading ShareAction’s strategy to engage and influence major global institutional investors. You will help ShareAction work towards our vision by playing a leading role in shaping a dynamic new strategy for engaging pension funds to be active responsible stewards of pension savers’ capital, helping them to exercise positive influence over the wider investment system in the interests of the people whose assets they manage.
You will work closely with your fellow Co-Head of Investor Engagement, who acts as Technical Lead. They bring analytical and research expertise, ensuring that ShareAction’s insights, guidance and research outputs are informed, credible and robust. Your vital contribution will be to build constructive and sustained relationships with our key audiences in the investment industry and to shape inspiring and engaging events, dialogue and communications that deliver our messages in ways that resonate.
The Co-Head role is not a job share – both Co-Heads are full-time roles. Jointly, you are accountable for the design and overall delivery of ShareAction’s investor engagement strategy and for the wellbeing and performance of the Investor Engagement Team. However, you each have distinct accountabilities within the strategy, and the Engagement Lead (this role) will have primary responsibility for team operations (budget, risk and plan management, as well as monitoring, evaluation and learning). The team comprises eight more junior colleagues, six of whom will sit in your reporting line, with three reporting directly to you. As a team Head, you will also be part of ShareAction’s Extended Leadership Team, which plays a key role in organisational leadership, strategy and decision-making.
You will also liaise closely with colleagues who lead our advocacy with policymakers, as well as those who lead our corporate campaigns, helping to coordinate their efforts to build coalitions of investors that drive change through collaborative engagements with specific companies and sectors. You will also oversee the secretariat function which ShareAction provides to two networks of mission-led investors (the Charities Responsible Investment Network and the Responsible Investment Network – Universities), supporting their ambitions to be at the leading edge of responsible investment practice.

Purpose
The HR Administrator role is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR or admin experience, who is interested in starting/progressing an HR career and looking to gain experience in a friendly but busy small HR team. The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.

Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

This project takes a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support and works together with partner agencies to provide a bridge from prison to the community.
This post provides operational management of this project across the three women’s prisons in Surrey – HMP Bronzefield, HMP Send and HMP Downview and a community service delivery area of London and the South-East of England, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are maintained and contract KPI’s are delivered.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This strategic role will report to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing operational functions across our businesses, focusing on fostering a positive working environment and employee experience, while supporting our social impact and business growth. You will share SCN’s ambitions to transform funding for grassroots organisations and coalitions by reimagining fundraising, removing structural barriers and encouraging institutional funders to support community interests.

The ideal candidate will have experience of operations, HR & risk management and will have a passion to make a difference. You will work with the Director of Ops on streamlining operational systems and processes, compliance and risk management, policy oversight, resource planning, and HR and payroll oversight. Crucially, you will help us develop our new Employer of Record Service; the Social Change Hive. Working closely with the CEO and the Head of Business Development, you will ensure all our HR processes, systems and reporting structures are operational for our clients and our employees.
The role would suit someone who loves operations, HR and risk management and be comfortable in a startup environment. The role will involve working across the businesses and working closely with the Head of Programmes and the Head of Governance, Risk and Innovation. You will also be managing our Operations Assistant – with a view to expanding capacity in the team over the year.
While this is maternity leave cover, this function is growing so there is lots of opportunity to evolve responsibilities as the business needs change over the 12 months.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will be a detailed oriented person, proactive, well organised and excellent at managing various tasks and projects at the same time, with excellent project management and people skills. We are a trauma informed organisation, and while you may not be trauma trained – you will need to understand the need for a human touch within the systems and processes we hold (we will also provide training on our approach). As part of the role, you must understand HR regulation, contract management and general operational functions. We are looking for someone who is happy working on their own initiative with energy, enthusiasm and good humour, with a can-do attitude. You must be comfortable with working with external groups of people from varied backgrounds alongside our incredible team. Our work is involved and changes quickly. So the role would suit someone who is resilient and comfortable re-prioritising when things shift quickly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Operations manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Ops in ensuring we have efficient systems and processes across the organisation and providing support on contracting needs for the businesses. Occasionally we are asked to help support the operational development of our clients. The role will involve:
- Operations oversight (40%)
- To take a systematic view of all operations across the business and make sure we have the correct operational tools, systems and processes in place to support our internal needs as well as delivery of work to our clients. Lead on designing and embedding effective tools and systems to support this and ensure there are up to date process maps to support the team in using them.
- Regular reporting on these systems to the senior management team to support business management and strategic decisions
- Working closely with heads of each function to ensure we have the right processes in place that support the team in delivering their work
- Ensuring we have the right policies in place for effective management of the business
- Responsible for overseeing all contracting for clients and employees
- Oversight and drafting of all client contracts – working with the Director of Ops to ensure contract templates are up to date and in line with any business shifts and fit for purpose.
- Managing any contracting risks and making sure all contracts are active and not expired. Setting up and maintaining reporting systems to ensure this information is fed back to the relevant teams and senior management.
- Addressing any questions from the team and clients on contracts
- Support the Head of Governance, Risk and Innovation to manage mitigations for any emerging risks, document any incidents, have effective reporting mechanisms in place, including updating the risk register
- HR and payroll (40%)
- Support the HR element within the development and delivery of Hive, our Employer of Record payroll service.
- Lead on recruitment and induction processes for the business and clients. This includes ensuring the processes are fit for purpose and efficient for the business, having the right resources in place to support the team and clients with understanding and managing recruitment and induction, managing onboarding of all new starters.
- Oversight of all contracting and HR obligations for our employees, including clients using the Hive service – onboarding, exit processes and everything in between
- Oversight of all processes in Hive to ensure smooth. operations. With Hive being new, and growing, processes and policies will need to be reviewed and adapted to Hive’s needs.
- Setup and maintain reporting systems that allow risk management and managing end of contract responsibilities.
- Manage all HR queries and issues for the team and clients.
- Oversight of monthly payroll and salary sacrifice schemes.
