About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our policy, evidence and influencing team to achieve change for people with breast cancer in Wales. 

You’ll play a key role leading the development and delivery of our policy and public affairs work in Wales. You’ll develop evidence-based policy positions, and design and deliver public affairs and policy influencing plans in line with our strategic aims. This will include focusing on topics such as waiting times, screening, and secondary breast cancer. 

You’ll also support the roll out of campaigning activity and act as a key spokesperson for the charity in Wales, representing us in the media as well as with campaigners and senior stakeholders.

About you 

You’ll have experience of working in relevant policy or public affairs roles developing policy positions and materials, and a proven ability to build strong external contacts. 

Along with strong analytical and communication skills, you’ll have the ability to work well independently while managing a varied workload, and the capability to lead projects and work with teams across the UK.

You’ll have a good understanding of the current health policy landscape in Wales or the UK as well as knowledge of Welsh or UK parliamentary processes and legislative systems.

We are looking for an accomplished Individual Giving and Legacy fundraiser to help develop, implement and lead our approach to growing unrestricted, long-term income in these areas.

You will work with the Senior Head of Individual Supporters and Events to design both the long-term strategy and short-term campaign plans for these fundraising streams, before taking ownership for implementing the plans on an ongoing basis so that we can inspire more people to support our work with young people.

You will lead a team of fundraisers to achieve the best possible results with existing and potential supporters – both in income and stewardship so we can start to realise the opportunity for growth in mass fundraising. This will include supporting your team in their work with other functions such as Supporter Care, Data, Finance, and our external Legacy administration agency, so that you can help ensure high quality data collection, analysis and performance reporting as well as compliance with relevant codes of fundraising practice.

We are particularly interested in people with excellent Legacy experience to fill this role so if you have a strong track record in managing Legacy programmes, including designing and implementing stewardship activities as well as proven experience in Individual Giving then we’d love to have you in our team to deliver campaigns which inspire people to become long-term supporters of The Trust.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Coordination and Project Delivery

• ​To work closely with the Director of Strategy and Programmes to coordinate and support the delivery of all our programmes to achieve the outputs and outcomes agreed with our funders.

The role 

The Supporter Analysis Lead will be instrumental in providing analysis into supporter engagement across all of Scope’s audiences, to help shape our supporter journeys, supporter marketing communications, fundraising activities, and the overall audience engagement strategy.

The Individual Giving & Acquisitions Lead is a new role in their Marketing & Communications team. The postholder will play a key role in developing and delivering the Individual Giving Programme to drive income growth, engage new audiences and retain existing supporters. This role would suit a candidate looking to harness their skill set in direct marketing and use their ability to create new fundraising products to set up an Individual Giving Programme from scratch, with support from the Head of Marketing & Communications.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Lead on creating and implementing a strategy to support the development of a new Individual Giving and Acquisition Programme in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Communications.
• Plan, develop and implement a range of direct marketing campaigns to support the acquisition of new donors and the retention of existing supporters, ensuring that all campaigns are managed effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
• Deliver personalised and tailored content to increase engagement with existing and new supporters.
• Enhance supporter journeys by using data insights to develop segmentation and improve targeting for IG activities.
• To effectively manage the end-to-end creative process from inception to execution of direct marketing campaigns.
• Working with the database manager, report on post-campaign data analysis to evaluate effectiveness and understand ROI.
• Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications to deliver an excellent supporter experience across all communications and fundraising activity, working with colleagues to ensure consistency with other fundraising programmes.
• Brief, monitor and manage internal stakeholders’ relationships for Individual Giving campaigns and projects, maximising opportunities to cross sell across all audiences.

Person Specification:
 

• Proven track record of DM campaign management experience.
• Proficient experience of working with data selections, segmentation and campaign analysis.
• Significant experience in managing the end-to-end creative process and proven success in donor acquisition and retentions.
• Experience in designing and delivering supporter journeys for a variety of audiences.
• Experience of delivering excellent results within agreed budgets and on schedule.

Senior Database Executive

Do you have experience in developing and designing data imports in Importomatic/Omatic Cloud and working in FastStats system to create selections?

Key responsibilities include:

The Digital Communications Officer will support the delivery of communications, campaigns and marketing elements by developing, implementing, tracking and optimising website and digital communication channels. This includes social media, digital advertising and fundraising, integrated campaigns, SEO, marketing automation, content design and development, website development and maintenance, specific channel selection with alignment for relevant audiences.

Working on campaigns, appeals and projects that directly relate to conservation and people’s connection with nature, whilst maintaining the proactive/reactive pace of digital communications day to day. The role will ensure the continued delivery of creative, impactful communications and engagement activities under the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusivity.

They're looking for those who have an excellent understanding of digital communications concepts and best practices, that have experience of effectively using various digital platforms (e.g. MailChimp, Crowdfunder and social media platforms) and emerging technologies for awareness raising and/or income generation; to engage with different audiences at relevant journey milestones.

THE ROLE

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, and executing all fundraising activities and initiatives. The role requires the development and implementation of strategies to maximise donations and enhance donor relationships, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. This position involves engaging with individual donors, businesses, and community partners to secure financial support for Islamic Help’s life-saving projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In collaboration with the Fundraising Manager/Head of Fundraising, to identify specific programmes and funding priorities, and organise targeted fundraising campaigns.
• Monitor donor funding trends and priorities and communicate this information to the Fundraising Manager/Head of Fundraising to ensure alignment with Islamic Help’s objectives.
• Plan and co-ordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives such as tours, treks, lectures, and dinners.
• Recruit, engage, and train volunteers to support fundraising activities and events.
• Track, monitor, and process pledges made by colleagues at events, ensuring records are regularly updated.
• Monitor online donations and activities, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring relevant departments and donors are informed.
• Create promotional materials to support fundraising activities, including merchandise, banners, and other marketing collateral.
• Identify local, national, and international funding opportunities, and contribute to the development of Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy.
• Manage fundraising income by maintaining reports, tracking donations, and handling donor correspondence, and evaluate the success of fundraising activities.
• Identify partnership opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally for joint fundraising campaigns, aiming to expand Islamic Help’s capabilities in skills, expertise, and donor base.
• Represent Islamic Help positively in all aspects of your work, adhering to the organisation’s values.
• Operate in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure your actions maintain the health and safety of yourself and others.
• Participate in all training workshops and take responsibility for your personal learning and development.
• Collaborate closely as a team to ensure adequate coverage during key campaigns such as Ramadan, Qurbani, and emergency situations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager that are appropriate to your role within the organisation.
