The External Relations Manager will be responsible for the planning and delivery of strategic external relations activities, which will underline Malaria Consortium’s technical and operational leadership position in the global SMC community. About the role:

Digital marketing plays a key role in our ability to raise awareness for, and build the profile of, Resuscitation Council UK, our guidelines, courses, and standards. Working with other members of the Communications and Engagement team, you will support on digital aspects of campaigns and initiatives to further public awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation and support for survivors.
The post holder will work closely with all members of the Communications and Engagement, Governance, Operations, Clinical and Service Development departments and build strong relationships with the wider resuscitation community. Main responsibilities and duties
Website, SEO & PPC
- Write/produce, build and publish content for the RCUK website, including articles, features, statements and updates, ensuring diversity and inclusion is considered in everything we do.
- Ensure all content, imagery or files uploaded to the website are of an optimal file size and comply with accessibility guidance e.g., alt text, descriptive links.
- Support the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to deliver the SEO priorities for the organisation and increase RCUK’s reach.
- Use insight (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Crazy Egg, surveys etc) to identify content gaps and opportunities for website improvements in line with user requirements.
Campaigns
- Support the communications and engagement team to deliver on key integrated campaigns across the year.
- Support on the delivery of marketing and communications strategies for core RCUK products: including generating sales for commercial products such as e-Lifesaver and paid events such as conferences through digital marketing and direct communications.
- Support the Media and Campaigns team with asset creation and amplify media opportunities via our digital channels
- Support the Policy and Public Affairs team with uploading policy briefings and maintaining resource repositories
- Identify hooks and opportunities to promote RCUK’s work and increase digital engagement.
Email Marketing
- Project manage the delivery of email marketing communications in line with the organisation’s aims and objectives to engage our core audience with RCUK’s work.
- Support on the delivery of our annual BAU email communications calendar.
- Evaluate the impact of RCUK emails activity, through regular analysis of emails sent, and use this insight to get a better understanding of how audiences are engaging with our email content and to continually improve email communications
- Ensure all emails are sent in line with General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR).
- Support the development of a new email strategy to support business growth (e.g. e-Lifesaver prospects through sales journey) and audience segmentation.
Social media
- Create, curate and share high quality social media content using a range of different and innovative formats.
- Monitor RCUK’s social media portfolio and identify opportunities for RCUK expansion onto other social media platforms in line with organisational objectives and where the audiences we are trying to reach are.
- Respond to comments across our social media channels and build support within our online community through engaging in conversations. Answer queries (liaising with other teams as required) and escalate any reputational issues to the Digital Media and Marketing Manager.
- Identify opportunities and content for paid campaigns.
- Work with the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to evaluate the impact of organic and paid social media activity through monthly reporting and analysis of larger initiatives and campaigns.
Other
- Champion RCUK brand and style guidelines to ensure RCUK communications are consistent across all comms channels.
- Use Canva/Adobe suite to design BAU social media graphics and toolkits for campaigns.
- Ensure our content is accessible and reflects the diverse resuscitation community and society as a whole.
- Represent and promote the organisation and its products at internal and external events that RCUK is exhibiting at.
- Manage the Communications inbox on a rota basis with the Media and Campaigns Officer & Policy and Public Affairs Officer.

Overall Purpose of the Head of Research
The Philanthropy and Trusts Manager is an exciting new role at Guts UK and will be integral to delivering our new fundraising strategy, enabling us to grow our income to meet our ambitious strategic aims.
- You will be responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing, engagement, stewardship and retaining key relationships with trust and foundations in line with Guts UK’s strategic framework.

As Supporter Care Manager you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. At Evolve Stockwell, we recognize the importance of creating a strong foundation for parents and their children and our young unaccompanied asylum seekers to ensure that they are provided with tailored support on their path to independent living. Between you and your Team Leader you will manage 11 colleagues to deliver these key housing and support services.
Our young parents service is based across two sites as follows - Georgian Houses Stockwell where we house 20 young parents and their children; Keystone House (A lower needs service based in Croydon) which has 5 young parents with up to 2 children each. We support our young people, helping them to maintain their health during pregnancy, prepare for birth and develop childcare and positive parenting skills on their path to independent living.
The service team also supports 7 unaccompanied asylum-seekers, who live on-site in a building called Olive House. We support these young people to improve their independent living skills, through a range of activities, as well as working alongside other agency's to support each individual through the asylum seeking process. We also need to refer some of the young people to external agencies to enable them to support those with complex trauma.
The Stockwell site is a large one, with an independent nursery and fitness club using our facilities.
What will your responsibilities be as Service Manager?
You will have full responsibility for ensuring the effective operation of the whole Stockwell site with overnight night concierge services provided by our Night Concierge managers for you. We own and rent part of the site - King Georges House, which currently houses 40 women as part of the refugee and resettlement pathway in Lambeth. Whilst their support is delivered by The Single Homeless Project, Evolve lead on the housing management aspect via our internal rent and income team.
You will act as a general point of contact for day-to-day support queries for colleagues on shift and you will be expected to support and manage the Team Leader in the overall day-to-day management of the service whilst ensuring they hold key supervisory responsibility for the team.
The service has a team of 11 colleagues which includes two night support workers, and you will recruit, manage and lead colleagues to ensure they realise their full potential in their roles. This will include managing induction and probation procedures effectively, conducting one to ones, coaching, identifying and taking action on training and development needs as appropriate. The service has been established now for 18 months and we have recently become Ofsted registered so improving on the existing foundations and working with Lambeth Local Authority commissioners to establish Evolve as a trusted partner is a key responsibility.
