What does successful Donor Development look like at Travalyst?
Managing Travalyst’s corporate and individual donor base and driving revenue growth through targeted fundraising efforts.
What you’ll get to do:
This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.
Donor Management (~40%)
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
- Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
- Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.
- Support high-value donor and corporate partner meetings, preparing personalised correspondence, proposals and briefs.
Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team to plan, execute, and manage proposal development and annual appeal processes for fundraising campaigns, including donor and partner events, direct mail, and corporate initiatives.
- Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
- Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
- Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
- Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.
- Secure grant funding through research, proposal development, and managing the grant application process.
Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)
- Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required.
- Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
- Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
- Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.
General Administration and Team Support (~10%)
- Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.
- Assist with special projects and additional fundraising and partnership tasks as needed.

What skills we’re looking for:
· Experience in fundraising, donor management, or business development, with proven success in partnership building and substantial (ideally 6-7 figure) revenue generation.
· Ideally, Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nonprofit Management, Business Development, Marketing, or related field.
· Superior communication and writing skills, with the ability to edit text written by others and generate new text; experience in crafting compelling pitches and proposals.
· High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and data management (experience with donor databases preferred).
· Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and use project management software (Notion) to plan and track projects and work collaboratively across teams.
· Experience with grant management, writing and corporate engagement strategies.
· Experience with financial reporting and analysis in Excel/Google Suite.
· Strong understanding of sustainability issues, trends and the philanthropy sector, with a track record of aligning donor objectives with environmental and social responsibility.
· Experience working internationally and collaborating with people in diverse cultural and political contexts preferred.
· Ability to work independently and remotely in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.
· Strong alignment with Travalyst’s mission to promote sustainable travel and tourism.
· Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations, ensuring long-term engagement and revenue growth.
· Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies that align with organisational goals.

About Orchid Cancer Appeal
Over 55,000 men are diagnosed every year in the UK with testicular, prostate, or penile cancer. Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working in the area of male-specific cancers.
Established in 1996 by testicular cancer patient Colin Osborne, and the oncologist who saved his life, Professor Tim Oliver, the charity exists to saves lives through funding a world-class research programme, awareness and education campaigns and a range of vital Nurse-led support services. These services include Orchid Male Cancer Information Nurse Specialists, a freephone National Male Cancer Helpline, a Testicular Cancer and Penile Cancer Counselling Service, a portfolio of online and paper-based resources, an award-winning testicular cancer microsite called “Your Privates” and a school’s resource pack, a dedicated website, community education programme including talks, presentations and Roadshows, and a penile cancer support service in Scotland.
Orchid works closely with health and social care professionals, community groups, schools and universities, other not-for-profit organisations, the business community, MPs, and the media to raise awareness of these cancers and to campaign for better care and services. The Role
Are you passionate about communication and marketing with lots of creative ideas? We’re looking for an experienced Communications & Marketing professional to diversify and grow our UK supporter base. You will be responsible for our communications and digital marketing strategy to drive and increase supporter engagement. Working remotely, you will be an integral part of a small team in the UK, reporting to the Head of Fundraising and collaborating with colleagues in India and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively create captivating and impactful content to support UK fundraising and advocacy objectives to broaden HOPE UK’s online presence and brand awareness.
- To optimise and increase engagement across social media platforms by identifying relevant opportunities to engage with online influencers, patrons and ambassadors, third parties, and key UK supporters in order to raise awareness of HOPE UK’s activities and programmes in Kolkata.
- Scheduling and sharing content provided by HOPE Kolkata, HOPE UK’s Head of Fundraising, and third-party supporters, and adapting this content to create engaging posts across HOPE UK’s platforms.
- Monitoring and managing HOPE UK’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and setting up a new LinkedIn account).Responding and engaging with comments, as needed. The role requires flexibility to enable monitoring channels.
- Managing HOPE UK’s communications calendar and overseeing content to ensure a consistent tone and brand across all channels.

Experience and Skills
·Experience working in a Communications & Marketing role within the charity sector, preferably an international children’s charity.
·Experience of successfully increasing supporter engagement online and analysing results.
·A sound understanding of SEO, web metrics, analytics, and keyword search.
·Knowledge of various social media channels and understanding of the granularity of audiences.
·Experience of using a range of multi-media tools (e.g., Canva, InDesign) to create engaging content to support fundraising campaigns, increase brand awareness, and help drive donations.
·Knowledge of maximising sponsored campaigns and creating targeted posts (notably, on LinkedIn).
·An aptitude to work both independently and as part of a small team who all work remotely.
·A sound knowledge of English (written and verbal).
·Copywriting experience would be beneficial.
·Good communication and networking skills and an ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
·An ability to think both creatively and strategically.
·Experience working with and managing Google Ads/GDN
·Experience of writing and pitching press releases an advantage.
·Knowledge of updating a website (WordPress and WooCommerce).

What the job involves
As a Celebrity and Influencer Engagement Officer, you’ll play a key role in building strategic relationships with high-profile personalities who genuinely connect with our cause. Joining our newly formed Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll help drive positive change for men affected by or at risk of prostate cancer.
You’ll work closely with our talented team across the charity and Communications directorate, fostering existing connections and exploring new partnerships. You’ll support our strategy for celebrity and influencer engagement, identifying impactful opportunities along the way.
In partnership with our Celebrity and Influencer Engagement Manager, you’ll manage celebrity logistics, administration, and itineraries, coordinating appearances at our events, media engagements, and third-party partner activities.

About the role
You will play a key role in advising on and delivering the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements of the Academy’s grant schemes and career development programmes, which will contribute to communicating the impact of our work and the evidence base for the continuous improvement of our schemes and processes. You will also contribute to the team’s wider portfolio of work, including monitoring awards for assurance of compliance with our policies, and the delivery of our strategy. The role is positioned within the Academy’s Biomedical Grants and Policy Team and will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.

About BDCA: BDCA is a dynamic community-led charity that has been serving the residents of the London Borough of Newham since 1998. Our motto is, “working together to change lives and transform our community” and over the past two decades we renovated four previously dead, disused spaces into lively local hubs. Job Aim:To work with the Youth Project Coordinator to provide a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will assist in delivering against the partnerships successful EMPOWER youth services commissioning bid to Newham Council. The service provides 10 weekly universal activities across East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19 including:
- Three outdoor MUGA sports sessions per week.
- Three youth hub session per week which includes branched off projects such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
- EKO Pathways after school delivery sessions, helping to support children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
- Outdoor parks MUGA session
- Year-round trips and residentials
- Youth Theatre
- Delivery of three-week summer holiday scheme which involves volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants and employment for additional young people. This includes Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops.
