We are looking for someone to join our team as a Risk Manager, to manage and improve Battersea’s existing enterprise risk management approach at a strategic and operational level. 

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience of being a risk leader, a comprehensive understanding of enterprise risk management, and practical application of risk management across a similarly sized organisation, with significant analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing fundraising compliance across telephone and face to face fundraising activities.  
• Supporting on wider compliance measure across the Charity. 
• Conducting regular audits and risk assessments of fundraising teams and agencies, providing guidance and training to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. 
• Developing and delivering of audit trails of third-party agency activity, including site bookings and fundraiser recruitment.

We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years’ experience in membership management, stakeholder engagement and events to lead our outreach and engagement activities for the Parkinson’s community across Europe.

Key tasks

• Strategic membership activities including:
  • Management of the Parkinson’s Europe Membership Steering Group
  • Leading Parkinson’s Europe membership recruitment and diversification
  • Reviewing and expanding Parkinson’s Europe membership benefits

Purpose of Role

This is a new role within the Strategy and Governance team, a team which supports delivery of the Ramblers’ strategy through business planning, project management and impact measurement, and oversees the management of governance matters.

The purpose of the Project Manager role is to:

• Manage project teams to drive delivery of key initiatives in the business plan using best practice project management approaches. (80% of time)

• Provide a Project Management Office (PMO) function, helping to raise standards and rigour in project management across the organisation. (20% of time)

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle of key projects including:

- preparing a project mandate / business case and updating as required

- identifying and tracking a clear set of measurable outcomes / benefits

- establishing and overseeing appropriate project governance arrangements

The Philanthropy Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy & Partner Engagement Department within War Child’s award-winning Fundraising team. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead (line manager) and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will manage a portfolio of major donors at 5- and 6-figure level to support a team target of c£1.4M.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving
• Lead and be supported on building an excellent stewardship programme, supporting relationship managers across the team to deliver sector leading supporter journeys
• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
• Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
• A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

You'll listen to the needs of our local communities to inform your campaign work, and empower them to make change where they live. You’ll work with colleagues across Parkinson’s UK to deliver political campaigns and meaningful advocacy for our community.  Through your campaigns you will ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard.

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.

The postholder will seek to secure critical support for budget-relieving activity taking place across the Gallery, including learning and engagement and exhibitions, as well as support for acquisitions, special projects, and capital works. They will make a significant contribution to ensuring exemplary relationships with grant-makers and their representatives, and actively cultivate prospects to increase support for the Gallery.

The Fundraising Manager, Grants will work with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising and support ongoing stewardship of funder relationships.

The postholder will also support the Gallery’s ambition to grow legacy giving as part of the wider team objectives.

Key Experience, Skills and Criteria:

Essential

• Proven track record of soliciting donations from Trusts and Foundations, and statutory funders.
