People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. The Movement Collaboration Lead or Senior Movement Collaboration Lead (depending on experience) will work closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team to lead the development and delivery of an exciting emerging programme of work building collaboration for economic system change between grassroots groups and new economy organisations.
We are looking for people who are: passionate about addressing economic injustice, are excited about the role of collaboration in creating systems change and capable of creating partnerships and strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
The first twelve months of this programme will take an action inquiry approach to facilitate a mixed group of new economy organisations and grassroots groups through a collaborative process that will develop shared knowledge and practice about how we can effectively and equitably collaborate on economic systems change work through practical experiments, facilitated dialogue and collaborative research.
The role will involve responsibilities for project managing and delivering this work including programme development and delivery, developing partnerships, changemaker recruitment and support, conducting desk research and interviews, managing and running events, supporting project related fundraising, conducting project learning and evaluation and writing a learning report about the project.
Following this first year we plan to scale work on supporting collaboration between grassroots groups and new economy organisations, subject to funding we hope this could become a permanent role.
All programme roles in the People’s Economy team support work across the programme team and we see a postholder likely working on the Action Inquiry for 0.4 FTE and supporting other work strands depending on their relevant skills, experiences and interests for 0.2 FTE.

Project Development
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of existing strategic thinking, planning and relationship building into a project plan.
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, contribute to business planning and fundraising for future development of the action inquiry beyond the first year.
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with new economy organisations, funders and other relevant stakeholders.

OVERVIEW AND JOB PURPOSE
Pump Aid is a dynamic, award winning and growing organisation, which is promoting a radically different approach to aid and development in the WASH sector by establishing Malawi’s first social impact business (Beyond Water) focused on delivering reliable access to clean water for rural communities. We challenge conventional development programmes by taking a business-based approach that ensures long term sustainability and impact for the communities we work with. Clean water results in better health, increases educational attainment and reduces inequality for women and girls across Malawi.
To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can plan and create compelling communications to increase awareness of our work and engage new and existing supporters. Furthermore, you will lead on key areas of our fundraising strategy including annual fundraising campaigns, individual giving and small trusts and foundations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will lead on defined elements of Pump Aid’s fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small to medium sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals.)
- You will develop and manage a schedule of compelling communications across a number of channels including social media, web and print that will grow engagement with Beyond Water’s mission.
- You will support the Head of Development to pitch to social impact and philanthropic investors by finding creative ways to differentiate ourselves from traditional approaches to international development.
- You will take responsibility for managing and administrating fundraising income, using Salesforce CRM to keep up to date records of donations, keeping donors updated through regular reports and leveraging annual campaigns including the Big Give Christmas Campaign to maximise individual giving donations.
- Maximise the value and duration of donor support through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
- While office hours are notionally 9:00am to 5:30pm, the demands of a business focussed on Africa, with donors in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia mean a degree of flexibility is required.
Candidate Profile
1. Strong experience in planning and executing communications plans across a variety of mediums (social media, website, blog posts, impact reports) to grow awareness and engagement with the work of our social enterprise
2. Demonstrable success in fundraising within the charity sector; scoping, prospecting, proposal writing and reporting.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present to a variety of audiences
4. Experienced in home working and able to self-motivate and develop and execute personal work and action plans with limited face to face supervision

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Campaigner who will lead, develop and implement creative campaigns and strategies to drive change in steel companies. This will require using multiple pressure points across the steel value chain; shifting narratives, engaging with national campaigns, exposing inadequacy of climate plans, harnessing investor pressure, driving demands for green steel and much more. The Corporate Campaigner will work closely with our CSO allies, notably from European Fossil Free Steel Network (EFFSN) and Fair Steel Coalition, to contribute to the impacts of the wider ecosystem and to sharply define the role of SteelWatch and its campaigns. This is likely to involve collaborations beyond Europe, in North America, Africa, Asia or Latin America. As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Europe.
For the steel industry to move toward decarbonisation, technological advancement is not the only solution. We need to fundamentally drive systemic changes to the long-held methods of steel production, the iron and steel value chain and the industrial structure, and going further, the relationship between the steel industry and the future of the decarbonised society. We are looking for someone who is able to use their creativity to engage not only in negotiations to achieve GHG emissions reductions, but also in critical thinking to provoke dialogues about what our climate needs from the industry’s corporate actors and other stakeholders today, to ensure a better future for people and the planet.

We're a registered charity on a mission to improve the way that credit is provided and create better support and solutions for people who are struggling with debt. We conduct high quality research and test out innovative solutions. We're now seeking an External Affairs Lead to ensure we achieve maximum impact.
Working with our Chief Executive, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing our stakeholder engagement strategy and will lead our external communications and engagement, including with respect to Parliamentarians, regulators, funders, and the media.
This a key position in our small but developing organisation, and the role requires a deep commitment to our mission and values. Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will combine three core elements: (1) ensuring coordination of SteelWatch communications activities, across all our multiple initiatives and timezones, ensuring great content, targeted reach, timeliness, coherence of message and coordinated plans; (2) ongoing and surge delivery of comms products and messages, such as media outreach, social media, thought pieces, particularly in Europe/Africa and sometimes US timezone. JOB PURPOSE

Are you an expert fundraiser with a background in legacies and individual giving? Are you looking for a role that gives you the autonomy to shape and grow an individual giving, legacy and in-memory fundraising programme?
We are entering a new five-year strategy period and are looking for someone to take a strategic, long-term approach to maximising income and engagement in these areas. Your evidence-based approach will capitalise on firm foundations, in terms of our setup and our strong financial position.
If your application is successful, you will form part of a growing peer group of managers as the organisation’s recent successes means it grows, professionalises and increases its focus on impact.

Salary: Starting in the range advertised, negotiable within that range.
Working Pattern: We promote and encourage flexible working all types, in line with our new flexible working policy, taking effect from November 2024.
Location: Home-based in the UK or internationally, with occasional travel and access to our office space.
Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave pa; additional three days’ closure over Christmas; employer pension contribution 6-8%, employee matching contribution min 2%; Employee Assistance Programme; we fund and encourage CPD.
