The Direct Marketing Executive will be a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team, supporting the team and its activities as a whole, but also owning and becoming the expert in specific areas in line with the Fundraising Strategy. Specific areas of focus currently are around digital acquisition, and with a particular focus on ensuring detailed tracking and reporting are in place for all campaigns across the team.
This role sits within the Individual Giving and Legacy team reporting to the Development Lead. It also works closely with the wider Acquisition & Development Manager, the wider Fundraising Division, and cross functionally with other teams within the organisation.

Main purpose and scope of role
Working closely with the President and the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strategic vision and leadership and will strive to ensure that IPWSO delivers its charitable purposes and remains successful and sustainable.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)
Leadership
· Strive to ensure that the charitable purposes of IPWSO are followed and that it delivers the public benefit set out in its governing document.
· Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of IPWSO.
· Provide support and information to the Board of Trustees to enable trustees to fulfil their roles and legal responsibilities.
· Pursue close cooperation with, and accountability to, IPWSO’s members.
· Act as an ambassador for IPWSO by representing IPWSO at events and networking to build new strategic relationships.
· Keep abreast of relevant new research, treatment recommendations and service developments for people with Prader-Willi syndrome.
Governance

Finance and Fundraising
· Work with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee to ensure the overall financial health and sustainability of IPWSO.
· Work with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee to prepare budgets for review by the Board of Trustees and to enable IPWSO to operate within its financial means.
· Seek to ensure that appropriate financial reports are submitted to the Charity Commission and other entities as required.
· Support the work of the Fundraising Committee and strive to ensure a sustainable income from both IPWSO members and individual, corporate, philanthropic and government donors.

About the role
We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager to join our Regional Fundraising team.
This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
South & West Yorkshire is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Sheffield and Leeds hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Officer.
As our reach and impact has increased significantly in recent years, so has our income, and this new role has been created in response to that demand. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to widen, or consolidate, their knowledge and experience of fundraising, in an international context, as well as gain communications experience.
We are a very small team so the role will cover a breadth of funding streams, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, High Value Donors, and Events, both special and community. Alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, the post holder will be responsible for managing these relationships, including bespoke reporting for trusts and major donors and taking responsibility for their own portfolio of donors.
- Donor prospecting and new business: researching and generating new donor leads as well as acting on opportunities provided by our Board and others, converting prospects into supporters of our programmes.
- External communications: working alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, assisting in the creation of our quarterly e-newsletter and the Annual Report, managing our social media channels, in addition to other ad hoc external communications.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.

Duties
The role will involve a combination of stewardship and new business, helping us to secure support from more trusts, foundations and businesses who share our passion for transforming the lives of children in the communities with whom we work.
Key duties will be to:
- Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives
- Take a relationships-based approach wherever possible, establishing warm relationships between partners and Chance for Childhood

Person specification:

About you
Passionate about outstanding supporter experiences and maximising income opportunities, you have demonstrated experience of direct marketing and digital channels such as direct mail, SMS, telemarketing and email.
You’re also used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and aren’t afraid to share both failures and successes. You’ll be highly collaborative, flexible and diplomatic in your approach to managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
What’s more, you excel in analysis and intelligent use of data, are great at utilising insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters to guide decisions and have a demonstrated knowledge of project management and development, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once.
You’re happy to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods and processes too, like to horizon scan and keep ahead of emerging trends and are comfortable working in matrix teams.

About the team
Our Individual Giving team sits within our successful, growing Income Generation directorate and consists of three programmes - Supporter Acquisition, Direct Dialogue and Supporter Retention and Development. Together, we deliver a diverse programme of work with ambitious income targets that support our organisational strategy, across cash, regular giving and lottery products. We’ve grown quite a bit over the past few years and benefitted from both investment and opportunity for innovation. That’s resulted in us generating over £20m of unrestricted income every year. Would you like to be part of our Programmes and Advocacy team, supporting our exciting global strategy to make Leprosy and Lymphatic Filariasis diseases of little consequence? If your answer is yes, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for a Programmes Officer to join our team. You will have the following knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in project coordination, preferably in the health; humanitarian or in the international development sector.
- Ability to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate projects effectively.
- Experience in coordinating multiple tasks and managing timelines effectively.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting is an advantage.
- Experience with statistical analysis software or GIS mapping tools.
The purpose of the role is to provide essential support to a small, dedicated team within the UK Programmes and Advocacy team, facilitating the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects aimed at addressing leprosy and LF. Working closely with the Senior Programme Manager, MEAL Manager, Advocacy Manager, and Research and Technical Advisor, the Programmes Officer will ensure seamless coordination of activities, enhance data-driven decision-making processes, and contribute to impactful advocacy and research initiatives.
It is an exciting time to be coming joining Lepra. We have just completed developing our new multi-year global strategy to take us through to 2030, and to guide our work into the future; and we are using our Centenary year in 2024 as a springboard to launch us into our new strategic period.
As well as the above knowledge and experience you will also have the following skills:

The salary for this position is £26,999 (FTE) – Lead Level. We have fully embraced flexible working and the role can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at our Colchester offices. We offer a lot of flexibility in working practices and there is free reserved parking available. We also offer
26 days annual leave plus public holidays (pro-rated), pension, and support from an in-house well-being team.
