Main purpose of the role:
The Volunteer Facilitator will provide effective coordination, administration and support to volunteers including recruitment and orientation. You will link with local groups and volunteer networks to promote opportunities within L'Arche. The Volunteer Facilitator will be creative in the identification and development of roles that use volunteers' skills to bring friendship and other benefits to the Community.
Key essential criteria
- Knowledge of social care organisations, the third sector and issues facing adults with learning disabilities;
- Experience of volunteering (ideally within the social car sector) and volunteer management or HR or coaching;
- Experience of maintaining databases: accurately recording information, reporting and identifying errors in data;
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint);
- Supportive and enthusiastic about working with an organisation which is both a high quality service provider and an ecumenical Christian community open to people of all faiths and none;
- Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload on a daily basis and be accountable for the delivery of own workload;
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS record check;

Working closely with the Public Affairs, Policy and Campaigns Consultant, you will lead efforts to engage influential stakeholders, create compelling content, and coordinate high-impact events. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policy and contribute to meaningful change in the food redistribution sector.
Key responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, media, and academia, to advance FareShare’s policy objectives.

We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Legal Advisor to join our Legal Services Team. A small, dedicated team of Lawyers central to the work of Mencap across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We work closely with Mencap’s Teams and Directorates across the organisation to ensure that they operate safely and securely, and providing advice on complex issues.
At Mencap, we offer flexibility about where the role is undertaken. For this role, a presence in Peterborough is preferable where possible, but the individual would be required to attend team meetings in our Peterborough office once a month. Occasionally, it will be necessary to travel nationwide.
The Senior Legal Advisor will provide high quality commercial contracts and documentation, advice and assistance to support all Directorates across Mencap, as part of Mencap’s internal procurement process and Fundraising Teams.
The Senior Legal Advisor will be required to work with different Teams and Directorates across Mencap to draft suitable and robust commercial contracts (including IT contracts); and standard terms and conditions; or review third party’s contracts and terms. Similarly, will be required to negotiate contracts and provide advice for the Fundraising Teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance and radar scanning for changes in law which impacts fundraising.
The Senior Legal Advisor will represent the Legal Services Team on a number of Panels and Committees, such as the Procurement Panel, and would be the lead point of contact with the Legacy Team.
Qualifications:
For this role you would need to be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practise in England (or comparable jurisdiction) preferably holding a practising certificate. Previous in-house experience would be viewed positively.

· 5+ years PQE and experience in commercial contract law

As media officer, you’ll help to deliver high-profile coverage of CPRE’s work as part of an impactful and expanding team.

Marie Curie is looking for a Community Fundraser to cover the North London area. (additional £3,500 pa LLW)
To ensure they can continue supporting individuals and families in need of end-of-life care, the Fundraising team are incredibly important. Since the pandemic, fundraising at Marie Curie has been through a lot of change. However, the organisation recognises the importance of their activity within communities across the UK and community fundraising has been invested in. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join the team. Marie Curie’s fundraising team has a lot of ambition and just need the right people to join the charity who can help them realise that ambition.
Our Community Fundraisers are the face of Marie Curie in their local communities, building relationships and networks with a wide and varied range of supporters. From local businesses to local fundraising groups and everyone in between. Reporting to the Head or Deputy Head of Region and working closely with some of the most talented fundraising people in the charity sector, your role will be to provide support and guidance to people who fundraise and volunteer for Marie Curie across our regions, helping them achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Marie Curie.
The Community Fundraiser role is one where you just don’t know what happens one week to the next as you never know who will choose to support Marie Curie in your community!
The role would suit someone who can be flexible and react in a calm, measured manner to whatever the day brings, who is excited by potential and is ambitious, and who can deliver a high standard of customer service (supporter stewardship) to everyone they meet.
Community Fundraisers are remote/hybrid based, with some presence expected at your local office or Hospice. It is expected that you will be based within or in close proximity to the region e.g. North London. For this role, the post holder will need to be willing to travel to Embassy Gardens (Embankment, SW11 7BW) occasionally. Due to the requirement to be London based, this post holder can choose if they opt to recieve an additional £3,500 LLW on top of the offered annual salary. If selected, the candidate will cover the cost of travel into Embassy Gardens themselves.
This isn’t a role where you will be behind a desk every day, a good Community Fundraiser has a willingness to be out and about within your region meeting and supporting fundraisers.

It is an exciting time to join Helen & Douglas House as we embark on our new 3-year strategy, where a Coporate Partnerships Executive will support the growth of the Corporate Partnerships income. In this role you will be responsible for managing and developing your own relationships with corporate partners. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with local businesses who are passionate about supporting a local children’s hospice with the aim of supporting meaningful, long-term partnerships.
You will have autonomy to lead your own accounts, new business pipeline, and projects with guidance from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Experience working in third sector corporate partnerships is desirable but not essential, there are many transferable skills from supporter stewardship and account management, for example, which will benefit this role.
This is a hybrid 0.8FTE (32 hours a week) role with an average of 2 days per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford. The pay range for this role is £31,994 - £35,923 full-time equivalent per annum (£25,595 - £28,738 pro rata per annum), depending on skills and experience. Full-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong financial control environment, preparing statutory accounts, and managing the audit processes. You will drive continuous improvement within the financial accounting and control function and play a key role in ensuring their finance services deliver the best outcomes for their residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute appropriate financial controls and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual statutory accounts for group entities, supported by detailed schedules.
- Manage the delivery of interim and final audits for assigned group entities, including conducting analytical reviews of financial statements.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, group investments, and borrowings on a monthly basis, maintaining up-to-date statutory account schedules.
- Prepare and submit all regulatory returns, including FVA and Companies House filings.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly group control accounts reconciliations.
- Contribute to the quarterly financial health reports for group entities, providing Management and the Audit & Risk Committee with a comprehensive overview of associated risks.
- Support continuous performance improvements across the financial accounting and control function.
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial data using Excel and in-house systems.
- Collaborate with finance business partners and heads of services to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly control account reconciliations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CCAB-recognised accounting qualification qualified or part qualified (ACA qualified is desired).
- Extensive experience in preparing regulatory financial returns and managing filings with FVA and Companies House.
- Proven track record in managing interim and year-end audits, with effective coordination with auditors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with D365 and Power BI is desired.

Exciting Job opportunity: we are looking for a Participation and Development Worker
The National House Project (NHP) takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to young people’s ownership to enable young people leaving care to live connected and fulfilling lives. The approach was co-designed with young people from the start. It is based on a groupwork approach and supports young people to move into properties that become their homes whilst also building a strong and supportive friendship network.
NHP supports Local Authorities to establish Local House Projects (LHPs) and puts young people at the centre of the decision-making processes, supports staff to work with them in an inclusive way and encourages staff to work with young people to find the solutions to the challenges they face. LHPs achieve improved outcomes for young people, challenge the way that professionals work with young people and enable young people to leave care in a planned and supported way.
To ensure that young people are involved at every level of the organisation each LHP elects 2 young people to represent them at the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM). This forum provides the platform to hear, amplify and act on the voice of young people, who not only support the development of their own LHP but also contribute to developing practice and policy at a national level. CLNM meet regularly, undertake Peer Evaluations, host and deliver their own National Conference and provide an ‘expert user’ consultancy. Members from this group also sit on the Board of Trustees as expert advisors.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and experienced in working with young people in care to join this national charity. You will work with the Care Leavers National Movement as well as the core NHP team to ensure that young people continue to drive our work at both a local and national level.
You will need to have a professional/academic qualification in a related field e.g., Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Health. Current registration with a professional body is desirable. The NHP office is in Crewe. We support hybrid working and currently spend a minimum of two days in the office. In this role you will be expected to travel to LHPs and attend meetings across the country on a regular basis. There will be some planned weekend work throughout the year. You will join two existing Participation & Development Workers.
