POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs Accounts Payable function; processes transactions in the accounting system and maintains accounts payable files for vendors. Primary point of contact for questions and assistance regarding entry and payment of invoices.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert on Unit 4 ERP System Vendor Master File and accounts payable, provide support to other Internews staff also entering invoices.
• Prepare and enter multi-currency invoices for all payment methods (Barclays wire Transfers, ACH, check, FX, Western Union, etc.), including review for proper coding and approvals.
• Review and research open payables to resolve outstanding issues prior to payment.
• Process recurring remittances according to corporate schedule, including payment of invoices entered by others.
• Processing payments and Provide payment confirmations to appropriate parties as necessary.
• Maintain AP vendor master records in accounting system.
• Organize and maintain A/P files.
• Research vendor payment history in response to queries from Internews staff and others.
• Cross trained as backup staff to other department functions, including PSC payment processing and expense reimbursements and AP mailbox cover.
• Support of commitment accounting and purchase order monitoring
• Maintain Asset Register incl Additions and Disposal, Monthly Depreciation calculation and posting the journals into the accounting system.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Payroll and Bank Reconciliations before month-end close.
• Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and Advances (Cards) before month-end close
• Processing and posting Prepayments before month-end close.
• Income & Expenditure Recording in the accounting system
• Proving support during Statutory and Donor Audits
• Fixed Asset Management.

Qualifications:

About you

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR team.  You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on the full spectrum of Employee Relations cases including absence, disciplinary investigations, grievance, performance management and organisational change, ensuring the delivery  of an exceptional and timely service to stakeholders.

The post-holder will be proactive in taking the initiative to identify and deliver solutions for improvements to service delivery and will engage and upskill stakeholders to improve management competences  to avoid litigation.

The Person​

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12 month fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week. £42,000 - £45,000 FTE, (£25,200 - £27,000 pro rata)

You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, producing statutory financial reports, and supporting a variety of finance projects aimed at improving processes and controls. This is a hands-on role, requiring a strong knowledge of charity accounting standards (SORP, FRS102) and advanced Excel skills.

To coordinate the social contact and practical support available from the Readycall service for people living with a cancer diagnosis and to contribute to the development of the Readycall service in general across the Derbyshire Dales.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Work closely with colleagues in the Readycall team to ensure the Readycall service meets its contractual obligations to funders.

2. Recruit, train and support volunteers to deliver a range of tailored practical support and social options for service users.

3. Be the first point of contact for service user referrals for people living with cancer:

a. liaise with the referrer to review the service user’s needs

b. visit the service user to assess and confirm needs and complete a risk assessment

c. establish a baseline of the service user’s current status/needs and develop an action plan

d. define the tailored support to be provided based on the service user’s diagnosis and treatment plan

4. Arrange support for the service user based on their needs. This could include:

a. help with essential shopping

b. matching with a befriending volunteer for home visits or trips out

c. subsidised transport to cancer-related appointments

d. attending the monthly cancer support group

5. Ensure that service user and volunteer data is processed and recorded in line with GDPR requirements.

6. Set up and host monthly cancer support groups, sourcing speakers and arranging activities.

7. Liaise with Connex’s Car Scheme service to arrange subsidised transport for cancer-related journeys

8. Schedule regular reviews with service users to assess progress against tailored action plans.

9. Support people living with cancer to access digital health apps and support relevant to their treatment and condition.

10.  Liaise with health care professionals and practitioners, and other key stakeholders re service user needs, and to promote the services.

11.  Work with Readycall colleagues to match volunteers to service users, and monitor the ongoing relationship to ensure it is working well for service user and volunteer.

12.  Contribute towards client and volunteer surveys to monitor the service, obtain feedback, and outcomes.

13.  Carry out reviews with service users to identify the impact of the support provide and the benefits achieved.

We are seeking an operational and people focussed Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Executive Team. Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility

Operational Leadership and Governance

• Overall accountability for the operations of the foundation
• Oversee and optimise internal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Evaluate and improve overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics
• Oversee robust risk management processes and protocols proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks
• Oversee the development of all necessary policies to ensure safe and healthy working environments

Financial Management

• Oversee the development and monitoring of the financial strategy for the organisation, providing recommendations, information and guidance to the Trustees and Executive team to inform decision making
• Maintain and review polices and processes to ensure good financial controls are in place that meet both legal and tax requirements. This includes maintaining appropriate records and controls over restricted funds to ensure that these are used and reported appropriately
• Support the Finance Manager and Executive team in setting FNF’s annual budget, with robust analysis and justification of intended expenditure, financial forecasts, cashflow etc. securing active engagement and ownership from all internal budget holders
• Oversee the financial reports required to review progress against plans and forecasts throughout the year and ensuring these are disseminated and understood across the organisation
• Accountable for regular financial updates to Trustees including the Finance Investment Committee (FIC) and Board meetings along with the preparation of the financial aspects of the annual report and accounts
• Oversee the management and development of VAT reporting for FNF and trading subsidiary
• Oversee the financial aspect of FNF Global delivery to ensure compliance with HMRC

Systems and controls

• Lead in the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement systems and procedures, ensuring that FNF achieves best value and drives efficiencies through our external contracts
• Lead on the annual audit in accordance with current practice and the Charity Commissions Standard of Recommended Practice (SORP), liaising and managing the relationship with the auditors
• Oversee the operation of the payroll process and related HMRC contract ensuring that payments are made in an accurate and timely way
• Work with the Finance Committee to manage the investments for FNF, overseeing regular reviews of the investment policy and portfolio, liaising with external partners as necessary

Fundraising, Events, Marketing and Communications

• Provide leadership around income generation, making sure that this is located within the strategic framework and day to day thinking of the Foundation
• Provide leadership and direction for Marketing and Communications, ensuring that overall plans are in support of our strategic objectives
• Ensure all income generation activities from within this team are fully integrated across the Foundation, recognising the importance of inter departmental relationships

The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.

Our collection rightly celebrates the incredible evolution of computing technology. However, the museum also has a responsibility to recognise the ecological impact of the rise of technology, and to date we have not explored these stories. We are excited to have secured funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, for an exciting new two-year project, Broken Tech : Broken Earth. We will be exploring how the explosion in technology over the last 80 years has impacted the local and global environment. More info can be found on our website. 

Role Summary 

We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project. 

The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.

We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. We are looking for an experienced grants fundraiser to join us and make a significant impact on our work with young people in central Doncaster. 

We are currently finalising our next Forward Plan, with an ambition to create an inclusive, vibrant community, committed to everyone having a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.  We currently work with children and young people aged 5 to 30. 

Our priority programmes include support coaching for young people, community activity sessions, sustaining our accommodation provision for vulnerable young adults and establishing how we can best support more young people on the homelessness pathway.  We have some great spaces that are in need of development, and we expect that both capital and revenue funding will be included in your workload. We also look for smaller grants during the course of the year, including for food for our residents and supplies for our art groups, and we hope to recruit volunteers to assist with the smaller and less complex bids. 

You would – for now – be our only Grants Officer, so should be familiar with the whole cycle of applications and monitoring and able to work independently.  This is a fabulous opportunity to make your mark on young lives in Doncaster and take our fundraising to the next level. 

Main Responsibilities

• To work delegated idea notes into fundable project profiles, each with a clear and compelling case for support.
• To create a clear and compelling case for support for unrestricted grants income.
• To agree full cost recovery arrangements with the Chief Executive.
• To be responsible for an assigned portfolio of trusts, foundations and similar, developing knowledge of, and relationships with, those funders.
• To make strong applications to funders within the assigned portfolio, matching YMCA Doncaster’s agreed cases for support with funders’ interests and requirements.

Person Specification

• A recent track record of success in securing funding through written bids (five figures plus) in an employed role focused on grants or similar fundraising. 
• Experience covering the full cycle of grants fundraising including creating cases for support, submitting applications, responding to requests for information or visits, monitoring and evaluation.
• An understanding of the current UK grants / trusts climate and the types of funders likely to support YMCA Doncaster’s work. 
• Self-motivated and self-supporting, with the ability to work independently and deal with unexpected or challenging situations including short-notice opportunities.

About the role
 

The Corporate Relationships Executive provides administrative solutions and support to the Business and Industry (B&I) team, with a particular focus on supporting our work with Corporate Members. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Relationships, this role works closely with the Head and three Corporate Relationships Managers, and the wider B&I team, to ensure the smooth running of our membership network and other stakeholder relationships.
