Whizz Kidz is transforming. It is an exciting time to join us as Partnerships Development Manager as we embark on an ambitious strategy for the next three years. As a senior member of the Corporate Partnerships team this role will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and play a key role in identifying, securing, developing and delivery of long-term relationships with companies – both large and small – so we increase the number, scale and value of corporate partnerships with the goal of providing more sustainable support for Whizz-Kidz. The Fundraising and communications team at Whizz Kidz raises around 95% of the income to fund the work of the charity and supports the generation of funds through on and offline publications, develops our social media and website presence and leads on PR activities.
The person
As the Whizz Kidz Partnership Development Manager you will be expected to get into the heart of the organisation, understand our ambitions and use your passion, knowledge and skills to help identify and deliver new mutually beneficial corporate partnerships. You will the experience and knowledge of how to identify and quantify the right opportunities for Whizz Kidz and know what it takes to win and manage different types of partnerships – employee engagement, strategic and brand and commercial. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable presenting and willing to develop and learn new skills. You will be keen to play a key role within the fundraising and marcomms team to help maintain a positive culture, use your strong relationship management skills internally and externally, help increase brand awareness and unlock vital income to create positive change for young wheelchair users and their families.
Key accountabilities
• A key role in the Partnerships team focused on generating long term sustainable income (unrestricted/restricted) from the corporate sector by developing income first multi-year employee engagement, strategic and commercial partnerships.
• Create and deliver engaging and targeted new business proposals, pitches and presentations as well as creating compelling and persuasive case for support with innovative, commercially-minded ideas to secure and establish successful new partnerships.
• Lead role in helping the Partnerships team achieve its financial targets through new and existing partnerships while working closely with Head of Partnerships to monitor income against budget and develop financial reports.
• Lead role in researching and quantifying opportunities alongside identifying and cultivating relationships with new prospects with a view to securing face to face meetings, delivering presentations and securing long-term support.

The Role:
Planning the project set up
Over the first 6 months of the role and in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Director, you will plan and begin execution of the housing pilot. This will include the development of a fully costed project plan.
Part of the project set up will include working with a wide range of stakeholders: Local Authorities, Landlords or housing providers, Registered Providers, Funders and relevant regulatory bodies.
You will be responsible for securing the use of suitable properties, working with contractors to ensure maintenance and establishing all relevant policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice are followed as well as developing standard operating procedures for service delivery.
With excellent communication skills and working knowledge, you will establish relationships with relevant Housing Benefit departments to ensure income is secured on behalf of our residents and work on gaining Supported Exempt Accommodation Status.
Planning for service delivery
Your role will involve the development and oversight of case management support to all residents, including recruiting and line managing support workers.
Taking into account the wishes and needs of the residents, you will develop a high-quality service which meets regulatory standards and compliance with Regulator of Social Housing Standards.
As a pilot, you will work in conjunction with the Operations Director to monitor outcomes and evaluate the service to ensure we are meeting agreed expectations.

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The Assistant Director for POPS core business is pivotal to ensuring the efficient, effective and legally compliant management of POPS’ head office functions and organisational infrastructure. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning financial objectives with organisational goals, supporting both fundraising and funding activities, and ensuring financial integrity across all operations. Your main responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between Finance and the Charities team, advocating for both parties to maximise value generation and coordination
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting, Planning and Reporting:
- Ensure financial reporting, especially the monthly income and expenditure report, is tailored to the organisation's needs and aligned with its structure.
- Lead from a finance perspective the budgeting and forecasting process for Charities' activities, encompassing fundraising, funding, and special fund annual planning.
- Participate in the preparation of the Foundation's consolidated accounting, audit, cash flow forecasting, and planning as needed.
- Data Insight and Integrity:
- Have a thorough understanding of the management, maintenance, flow, and reconciliation of financial data pertaining to charities across diverse systems, including but not limited to Access Financials, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, and Power BI. Be capable of scrutinising data integrity and articulating significant discrepancies.
- Conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends, and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision-making.
Business Partnership:
- Serve as a key partner to Charities Leadership, challenging assumptions and activities to ensure strategic alignment.
- Provide proactive support to Charities Leadership in financial decision-making.
- Provide support for both new and existing fundraising and funding activities, recognising their impact on financial processes.

Skills and Experience
Knowledge and qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Understanding of the unique financial challenges and regulatory framework of the charity sector. Knowledge of FRS102 and SORP.
- Strategic financial knowledge.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years finance working experience alongside fundraisers in a similar or larger fundraising organisation (e.g. Staff number 100+; fundraising income £10 million+).
- Demonstrable success in preparing consolidated management information and forecasts related to fundraising activities.
- Solid strategic financial acumen and commercial awareness.
- Established track record of cultivating successful business relationships and partnerships.
Skills and abilities
- Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills (essential, will be tested).

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Income Generation and Communications Director, crafting and implementing innovative, long-term strategies to expand and diversify our income streams. You’ll identify new opportunities, guide a talented team of six fundraising professionals, and build lasting partnerships that strive to reach our income aims.

The Mentoring Team Leader leads the team through providing excellent line management and driving the delivery of the team’s business plans to empower the team to ultimately support more people affected by spinal cord injury
In addition to leading the team, a Mentoring Team Lead will assist in creating mentoring relationships and support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.
A Mentoring Team Lead will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.
