Third Sector Leaders Kirklees has received more than £900,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK, to empower local people to take individual and collective climate action and reduce fuel poverty in their community.
The Energy Neighbours project has a clear community capacity-building approach, aiming to work inclusively with communities and community organisations, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable and sharing decision-making.
The project will help more community buildings and homes to be more energy efficient, by providing expertise, training, volunteering and sharing learning. Energy Neighbours supports and funds organisation development, community activities, volunteering, community business and partnership development, helping communities have a stronger voice and more capacity to impact on their priorities and concerns.
The new Energy Neighbours team includes a Project Manager, Project Coordinator and an Information and Data Manager. These three posts support four Community Energy Development Workers who work with community organisations and residents in priority areas of Kirklees. The Coordinator ensures the quality and effectiveness of record keeping, risk management and joined-up planning across the project. They help the team work together on planning work and preparations for forums, conferences and reporting. The Coordinator provides support to ensure that the project’s safeguarding, health & safety, finance and contracting arrangements are implemented across the team. About Us
The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) is an independent not-for-profit organisation and the UK’s authority on age ratings for films and digital content. Our mission is to empower audiences, especially parents, to make informed decisions about what their families watch. We are at the forefront of regulatory policy, advocating for the protection of children in an evolving digital landscape.

The BBFC is at an exciting time in its journey, working in partnership with regulatory bodies around the world to establish a new organisation that uses the power of AI to respond to the ever-changing need to provide locally recognisable ratings on media and digital content globally. The BBFC is also developing a bespoke AI tool to identify and tag content issues, with the potential to bring large-scale efficiencies to the classification process domestically and globally. Through a new trading subsidiary, the BBFC will deliver the culmination of over seven years’ work, developing new technologies to improve how we view content and represents a major opportunity to reshape content classification, making it more cost-effective, faster and globally scalable. The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in the roll-out and development of our new ventures.
The Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across finance and the broader strategic growth of the BBFC. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and as part of the ELT, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead the delivery of all required financial resources and advice to enable the highest quality services to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and engage in strategic discussion and decision-making as member of the Executive Leadership Team and other governance committees
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in the roll-out of the BBFC’s new AI tool and commercial trading subsidiary
- Provide management information and analysis of the BBFC’s actual and forecast financial performance, providing a business partnering service to colleagues; producing concise and meaningful commentary on performance against agreed targets and comprehensive risk analysis
- Manage the BBFC finance team (2 staff), supporting in mentorship, training and skills development
- Build and contribute to external networks and commercial partnerships, building on BBFC’s reputation, and ensure that BBFC learns from and builds on best practice

About You
- You will be an experienced Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer or equivalent.

About the role
The Senior Project Officer will be supporting the delivery and documentation of Sightsavers’ ELFA project. You will collaborate with District Local Governments (DLGs) across all Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) endemic regions of Mozambique. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that LF elimination project activities are meticulously planned, implemented, monitored, evaluated, and documented in accordance with the highest standards outlined in Sightsavers’ Programme & Implementation Manual (PIM).
Responsibilities
- Support partners in managing all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, learning, adaptation, and evaluation.
- Work with partners to identify technical support needs for LF elimination estimates.
- Ensure project activities align with WHO guidelines and MoH of Mozambique standards.
- Implement project activities according to Sightsavers’ standards and quality assessment tools (QSAT).
- Coordinate transition and advocacy work with the government for project sustainability.
- Uphold gender, equity, social inclusion, value for money, and sustainability in interventions through integrated plans.

The Involvement & Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in delivering the new patient and public involvement and engagement strategy for Alzheimer’s Research UK. The role forms part of the Involvement & Engagement team, which sits in the Information and Involvement (I&I) department.
The team acts as a focal point for patient and public involvement at the charity, working to ensure that people with lived experience shape and inform projects and activity across ARUK. You will help to manage a key group of lived experience involvement volunteers, facilitate and deliver involvement activity and set the standards and processes for meaningful involvement.
The team also delivers public engagement initiatives, with the aim of making dementia research accessible and inspiring to the public through events and participatory projects and supporting researchers to deliver engagement. The team also supports fundraising colleagues and activities through helping to embed and enhance ways to engage supporters with dementia research.
The team forms part of the busy Policy, Communications & Involvement directorate and works closely with colleagues both within the directorate and across the charity. The I&I department’s mission is to improve understanding of dementia and the diseases which cause it and encourage and support the public and people affected by dementia to get involved in research.

We are looking for a Supporter Engagement Manager for an inspiring international animal welfare charity to line-manage the Supporter Engagement team as well as manage the development and delivery of the community fundraising programme.
This is a London Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office.

The Role
Ensure all donations and enquiries are acknowledged appropriately, professionally and within agreed timeframes.
Create and maintain Supporter Engagement process documents and training guides.
Manage the development and delivery of the community fundraising programme, including the current products.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups across the UK.
Manage the workflow of the Supporter Engagement team.
The Candidate
Experience of working in a supporter engagement role with a track record of developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with donors, supporters and stakeholders.
Experience of establishing and development processes and procedures that optimise performance.
Ideally knowledge of community fundraising and supporter events.
Experience of managing and developing staff.
