Street Child is a global education and child protection NGO whose mission is to ensure that every child can be safe, in school and learning, with a focus on low-resource and crisis contexts where education is disrupted by conflict, climate disaster, disease, displacement and / or extreme poverty.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. This is a hybrid role, balancing strategic digital marketing, brand-building and media engagement with income generation, deepening existing relationships with key stakeholders, establishing new partnerships and increasing our visibility.
This is a new position for Street Child, complementing our existing presence on the West Coast. The successful candidate will need to be a strong all-rounder, able to excel in a variety of work areas, although the role will work closely with and be supported by global communications, marketing and corporate fundraising teams, with existing strategies, materials and platforms to leverage and tailor to a US audience.
While this role is not office-based, the successful candidate will be located in or around NYC or DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Major Gift Fundraising (50%)
- Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
- Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
- Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.
- Oversee all corporate engagement activities, including employee giving, volunteering and cause marketing campaigns.
- Develop and deliver corporate events to build relationships with and raise funds from our developing network of US-based corporations.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to enhance their internal communications strategies, driving awareness and engagement among their employees around shared initiatives.
- Craft compelling proposals, pitches and presentations for potential partners.
- Steward relationships successfully to ensure long-term impact and retention.
- Track partnership impact, prepare reports and communicate successes to internal and external stakeholders including funding partners and Street Child’s Board of Directors.
- Identify & cultivate new prospects among individuals and corporations.
Communications & Marketing (50%)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and digital marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Drive digital marketing campaigns across key channels, leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
- Lead content creation efforts, including blogs, case studies, impact stories, newsletters and press releases.
- Build and execute a strategy for growing Street Child’s share of voice in the sector, engaging with media and industry influencers.
- Work with external web developers to manage and enhance website content, SEO and UX to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor trends, conduct competitor analysis, and identify opportunities to position Street Child as a thought leader.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong track record of securing major gifts ($100,000+) from corporations and individuals, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships and events.
- High-level strategic thinking and planning.
- Experience in a similar role across fundraising and marketing.
- Proven success in driving digital marketing strategies, growing brand awareness, and managing media relations.
- Excellent storytelling skills with experience in content creation, social media management and PR, and media connections.
- Experience using digital tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and publicly present materials.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Baby Lifeline as Chief Operating Officer.
This dual role will include operational responsibility for Baby Lifeline and Baby Lifeline Training Ltd. Sharing the same building as the charity, the Training company is a not-for-profit social enterprise which operates under a service level agreement and brand licence issued by the charity.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for directing and controlling all organisational operations in accordance with the strategy and business plans agreed by the CEO and respective Boards of the Charity and Baby Lifeline Training Ltd to ensure that organisational values and objectives are met. Baby Lifeline’s mission is to make care safer and better for every pregnant woman, pregnant person and newborn baby in the UK with the aim of ensuring that no family will experience the avoidable loss of their precious baby or mother.
Chief Operating Officer Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all areas operate efficiently, meet compliance and safety standards, and support the overall purpose of the charity.

• Run quarterly webinars framed around our work in social change, which can act as a showcase for impact and that feed the funnel of people interested in social change funding or funding social change.
• Ensure all funding rounds are accurately reflected on our website in good time for funding rounds going live.
• Build web pages crafted to appeal to individuals with an interest in funding social change research.
• Develop and deliver a corporate website portal that highlights the impact of our work and opportunities for how people can become involved.

- Seeking social change funding

Policy, campaigns and research (social impact)
• With Head of Communications launch a policy and public affairs arm for the new organisation.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of major integrated campaigns including awareness, fundraising or policy centred projects, ensuring alignment and amplification with all other activities.
• Contribute to the legacy strategy of campaigns, such as The Unseen and See My Skills.
• Represent Fight for Sight in cross-organisational working groups in this area.
Ad hoc role / support within the team
• Ensure that all systems and processes are fully GDPR compliant including regular reviews.
• Ensure increased levels of engagement with Fight for Sight’s social media channels, reporting on performance.
• Ensure that all content on the Fight for Sight website is up to date, fit-for-purpose and engaging, working with colleagues to monitor performance, proposing and testing improvements.

The role
The role will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of programmes designed to support researchers to develop their skills and experience in public engagement as a route to impact. The Role
As our Deputy Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) you will be responsible for stock control and stock movement between our Donation Centre and Warehouse and organising deliveries for van drivers to take stock to our shops. This should all be done in accordance with all health and safety regulations. The sorting of donations quickly and efficiently is a fundamental part of this role, and it is expected that a significant proportion of working time will be spent doing this.
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) you will support the management of the volunteer team; the organisation of the weekly logistics, communication to the retail teams regarding their deliveries, and ensuring that any requests for specific stock or returns are well managed.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead the team of employees and volunteers to quickly and efficiently sort donated stock.
- Be responsible for ensuring that donated stock is stored appropriately and safely.
- Identify if any specific donated stock suits the profile/demographics of specific shops in the retail network and ensure that those items are ringfenced and delivered in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.
- Support the Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) in managing the daily running of the Donation Centre and warehouse, maintaining policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for planning and administering the weekly logistics, to ensure stock is collected and delivered to the network of shops, and to plan for collections from donors’ homes.
- Support the management of the volunteer rota on a weekly basis to ensure that both the Donation Centre and warehouse are fully operational during opening hours, and minimise lone working.
- Support the management of Donation Centre and warehouse volunteers: This will include recruiting, inducting, managing, motivating, and training to ensure a positive working environment.

The role is primarily based at the charity office at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with the requirement to also work from the charity office at Birmingham Women’s Hospital alongside some remote and out of hours working.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be accountable for the performance of our website, email, SEO, CRM, PPC and paid social, ensuring all our digital channels are optimised for both awareness and income generation. This hands-on role will see you lead the team to implement, deliver and evaluate exceptional and effective digital activity, using data and insight to inform decisions. To spearhead our digital marketing transformation, you’ll need to be an ambitious and experienced professional, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Your skills and passion will see you:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with our income growth objectives
• Shape the way we connect with our audiences, primarily through strategic (but not limited to) use of email, content creation, website management, SEO, PPC, paid social and CRM marketing
• Identify opportunities to maximise brand awareness, engagement and online revenue generation
• Track, analyse and report on digital performance metrics, providing actionable insights as well as data and market research to improve and inform digital marketing effectiveness
• Oversee the delivery, roll-out and continual improvement of a new website by setting the strategy, implementing SEO best practices and using data insight and analytics to improve visibility and traffic, as well as establishing engaging user journeys which increase conversion rates and improve fundraising campaigns
• Plan, execute and optimise bespoke digital campaigns, paid as well as organic, which leverage data to refine strategies, boost engagement, maximise reach and increase supporter interaction and brand advocacy
• Lead the creation, segmentation, automation and deployment of email and CRM campaigns to enhance audience journeys and maximise engagement and conversion, using performance and insights to inform improvements
• Maximise our paid advertising accounts, including Google Ads, monitoring performance to ensure they are data-driven, cost-efficient and deliver ROI as well as cross-selling opportunities
• Maintain a culture of data-driven decision making and bring visibility and transparency to marketing activity by regularly reporting impact against objectives, trend spotting as well as using a variety of data and analytics tools to raise the profile and understanding of digital marketing across the charity
• Safeguard the integrity of the charity’s digital presence ensuring it complies with data protection regulations, the Freedom of Information Act and any other applicable legislation.

Sitting within the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) department, the Sporting Events Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing over £3.5m income from individuals and groups fundraising through mass participation events including The London Marathon, International Marathons, The Great North Run, Threshold Events and more!
As one of two Sporting Event Managers, you will join a busy and successful team of 10 responsible for the delivery and optimisation of our events portfolio. We are looking for an exceptional individual, who will lead on the planning, project management and delivery of ARUK’s flagship third-party events, including London Landmarks, Own Place in Event Fundraising and challenge events.
This is a line management role, currently responsible for 4 direct reports and the strategic oversight of the events they manage. You will work closely with the other Sporting Event Manager to ensure consistency with supporter stewardship, manage budgets and support in financial planning, review team capacity and identify and manage priorities throughout the event calendar year, ensuring efficiency and a first-class supporter experience, with an overall goal of maximising income for dementia research.
You will be an integral part of the SLF Managers Team, helping drive our ambitious organisation growth and ultimately helping us find a cure. The role is managed by the Head of Sporting Events & Volunteering (HoSV).
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Line Management
· Line management of the high performing 2x Sporting Events Officers and 2x Sporting Events Executives; inspiring and driving their success to ensure they remain highly motivated in their roles, achieve their targets and play a key part in the performance of the wider Sporting Events Team, and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Monitor, review, and empower direct reports to ensure effective communication across the wider team and with key stakeholders e.g. volunteering, RFO’s and wider SLF.
· Support your direct line reports in their development, helping them to spot opportunities for growth.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Manage the Sporting team’s income and expenditure budget, including monthly reporting, and supporting HoSV with monthly reforecasts, and annual budget and operational plan setting.
· Review participation and income against event targets to track impact, ROI and cost income ratio and report back to HoSV regularly.
· Ensure the fundraising CRM (salesforce) is being used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting.
· Use data insights and trends to support the HoSV in budgeting, forecasting and event portfolio reviews.
· Continue to review and be willing to change Sporting Event Team processes and contribute to wider organisational process changes where necessary.
· Support the embedding of our CRM system: Salesforce, including writing processes and ensuring CRM best practice across the team.
Relationship Management
· Build and maintain excellent working relationships with our third-party event providers and identify new opportunities and ensure all avenues are being optimised for ARUK.
· Identify and steward alongside the Regional Fundraising Officers’ high-value supporters to ensure we are spotting opportunities beyond their current event.
· Work collaboratively within SLF, to ensure all fundraising opportunities are shared and communicated and resources are available.
· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to brief in marketing requirements, share trends, learnings, and results to optimise future activities.
· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments and work together as a management team to support on the strategic direction of ARUK, as well as deliver any tactical projects.
· Support and consult with any cross functional teams to deliver our third-party events portfolio.
Strategy & Operational Planning
· Work in consultation with the HoSV to develop the sporting events strategy and annual tactical plan for ARUK to continue to build income in this area.
· Work with HoSV to further develop our events strategy for 2026 onwards.
· Stay abreast of sector sporting events activity to ensure effective positioning and marketing of events.
Stewardship and Supporter experience:
· Plan and deliver an excellent communications journey for sporting event participants including exploring new technologies and how we can talk to our supporters in the way most effective and relevant to them- whether that be email, phone, face to face or SMS. Whilst also ensuring it aligns with wider stewardship goals with the charity and future cross-sell asks.
· Attend third-party events and oversee appropriate staff and volunteer representation to give the maximum brand presence and give the supporters the best possible event day experience e.g. Cambridge Half, London Marathon, London Landmarks, Great North Run and any other events where we need staff.
· Work with the wider SLF team to share best practise, ‘surprise and delight’ success and re-engagement activity to help drive long-term loyalty.
· Work with Regional Fundraising Officers, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships teams to pass over warm and relevant supporters at the best points in their individual stewardship journeys.
· Work alongside Data and Insights Teams to understand the potential lifetime value of our sporting events participants and ensure opportunities are developed for supporters to hold a long-term fundraising relationship with ARUK.
What we are looking for:
· Experience of delivering mass participation fundraising, in particular managing high-profile/ large third-party event partnerships
· Great knowledge and passion for building excellent supporter relationships and ensuring supporters feel valued and thanked appropriately.
· Good practice and understanding of GDPR and compliance.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
