Community Fundraiser North-East
Brain Tumour Research is looking for a Community Fundraiser to provide support, and to help our donors and supporters fundraise, building connections to ensure a lifetime relationship between the charity and individual.
Position: Community Fundraiser – North-East (Maternity Cover)

About the Role
The ideal candidate will be confident in engaging with new settings and committed to maintaining the high quality of our services during in-person training. While some sessions will be delivered online, the ability and readiness to provide in-person training is essential.
Beyond delivering our current training courses, we are looking for enthusiastic, skilled individuals who will actively collaborate with us to enhance existing course content, develop new standard and bespoke programmes, and deliver additional talks and workshops to meet client needs.
We would expect post holders to have a good understanding of the issues facing those with mental health issues, ideally with both recent experience of working within the mental health sector directly in a support and/or educational role and a proven training ability, both in person and online.
As a Mental Health Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of mental health training programs to a wide range of audiences. You will play a key role in expanding our company training offerings, training our staff and volunteers, fostering a positive impact on workplace wellbeing, and becoming an essential part of our team dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

As Sporting Events Manager, you will:
- Support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income through their Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The income for the events team is c.£3.3m, with expenditure of c.£1.1m.
- Lead on strategy and delivery of PCUK’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. You will project manage the event, co-creating and managing the recruitment marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value and working with an external delivery partners
- Work closely with the Black Healthy Equity Team to increase representation across PCUK’s activity portfolio, with a focus on March for Men to ensure it’s a diverse and inclusive event

About the role
It’s been an exciting year for the CoppaFeel! Marketing team; we’ve had a brand refresh, onboarded new agencies, launched award winning campaigns and grown a partnership with Love Island. And it’s all been in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels. You will help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts 18 - 24 year olds across digital and social channels.
You will work alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
You will report to the Marketing Director and line manage the Social Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, and you will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.
The role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a valued part of the CoppaFeel! leadership team to deliver the organisational strategy, shape the culture and influence cross departmental ways of working
- Develop a holistic, strategic content approach to digital and social channels (including creators and gaming) that will enhance the annual marketing strategy and drive awareness of CoppaFeel! and our mission amongst 18 - 24 year olds.
- Responsible for creating innovative content that’s insight driven and market leading.
- Put production plans and processes in place that allow us to have year round ‘always on’ organic content (web, email, social).
- Lead and inspire creativity across the organisation with a view to becoming social first in everything we do.
- Work with Digital Marketing Manager to audit CoppaFeel!’s website and third party agencies to research, plan and execute Search Engine Optimisation strategies.
- Establish standards, systems, best practices, and workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including requesting, producing, distributing, channel selection, measuring, and retiring content.
- Collaborate with our operations team as we adopt a new CRM database.
- Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager.
- Ownership of the digital budget and quarterly re-forecasting.
- Contribute to quarterly all staff team meetings
- Ensure rigorous reporting and analysis of social and digital activity to ensure delivery of planned KPIs, with an ambition to be constantly improving and evolving.

What the job involves
We’re looking for an exceptional nurse leader to join the Specialist Nurses team at Prostate Cancer UK, part of our wider Support Services team that helps men and their loved ones to navigate the challenges of prostate cancer.
You’ll lead a group of nurses to provide invaluable information and support directly to men and their families via a range of channels, including telephone, email, webchat, and WhatsApp. You’ll also work on the service yourself.
You’ll steer the team’s input into wider charity activity, ensuring that Prostate Cancer UK maintains a strong, credible clinical voice in all it does. Your role will have a particular focus on communications, fundraising and user involvement, overseeing the nurses’ input into these areas of work and leading the team’s relationship with key internal contacts.
As part of the service’s management team, you’ll contribute decisively to discussions around service development, team ways of working and wider strategy.
Please note that there is no face-to-face patient contact as part of this role, and the team’s remit is contained to information and support – not clinical advice.
You’ll be working Monday – Friday, with a hybrid working model. The service runs predominantly remotely, but periodical office attendance for collaborative work is expected.
Current daily shift patterns are 8.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 5.15pm. The appointee will need to be available 8.45am – 5.15pm daily, as shift patterns are allocated based on service requirements.
What we want from you
You’ll be a registered nurse with extensive experience at NHS Band 6 or higher, including recent work in either urology, oncology or palliative care looking after men with prostate cancer. You’ll have experience managing nurses and/or running services to the highest standard. You’ll bring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll also be flexible and adaptable to meet the complex demands of this role. Exceptional time-management skills and an ability to work with clear boundaries are critical, in order to both lead and deliver the service effectively.
You’ll also be comfortable with remote working, both in terms of delivering information and support over the phone, and working and leading remotely.
As a Senior Specialist Nurse, you’ll be committed, enthusiastic and compassionate – keen to apply your existing clinical experience and knowledge to provide information and support to those affected by prostate cancer and have the desire to develop new skills.

Salary: £30,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

You’ll be an effective project manager, able to work proactively and collaboratively with staff across the organisation to showcase the vital work colleagues in the litigation team conduct out of the spotlight. You will be confident in working with a variety of stakeholders, including journalists, lawyers and marginalised communities. You will be proactive, able to build and maintain relationships, develop effective cross-channel communications and manage a varied workload. You will be both able and happy to turn your hand to strategic thinking alongside day-to-day delivery, such as copy-editing news pieces for our website or writing press releases. You’ll be engaged with social justice campaigning and social media with an ability to identify and take advantage of relevant communications opportunities.

Job purpose:
The Website Content Manager will lead on the content strategy for our new and improved website - delivering engaging content which inspires our audiences to take action from praying to donating in order for Muslim Hands to continue it’s lifesaving work. The Website Manager will have oversight of all pages, from blogs to appeals, responsible for optimising our each for SEO and CRO.
Main responsibilities:
- Produce and publish new pages from appeals to blogs in line with the organisation’s needs – this includes copywriting and liaising with designers for creative.
- Create and deliver the website content strategy inline with our key fundraising touchpoints – delivering an approach which puts the audience at the centre of our plans.
- Lead on our SEO strategy in partnership with our agency to deliver SEO audits, SEO driven blogs and to improve our overall website ranking.
- Lead on creating and delivering our conversion rate optimisation strategy.
- Deliver a test plan of website content which optimises the user experience.
- Create, update and audit website pages in line with the orgs needs. Including copy, creative, landing pages, functions, journeys in line with our brand guidelines.
- Work closely with the external developers to suggest new features we’d like to test in terms of the site’s functionality.
- Communicate website updates to the wider organisation.
- Lead on reporting for organic search, SEO and CRO metrics on a weekly and monthly basis – sharing with SLT.
- Work closely with the digital marketing team to provide optimal user journeys to improve our fundraising and retention efforts.

Person specification:
- A strategic thinker who will problem solve to deliver the website strategy.
- Project and time management skills including ability to implement test strategies.

- Detail orientated to provide complete and accurate content, some of which may need regular updating.

About the Role:
AThe Communications Project Manager is responsible for leading the project management and the delivery to 2 discreet pieces of work at WaterAid UK. The first, a major global marketing campaign, and the second, a piece of sector leading research.
The role will work across teams and departments to coordinate, steward, and facilitate the success of the projects through active stakeholder and task management, project transparency and supporting collaboration. They will ensure alignment with the set strategic goals of each project, drive key milestones and co-ordinate cross functional delivery teams.
This role is for an experienced project manager who is skilled in navigating complex environments, is a highly skilled communicator, and holds an understanding of communications as a marketing discipline.
You’ll also:
Facilitating Decision Making and Delivery Progress
- Chair and coordinate delivery groups and be accountable for delivery of the project on time, on budget and to a high standard of work.

About You:

- Experience working at or with INGOs, including cross-border working.

The role of Senior Philanthropy Executive is instrumental in growing PCUK’s Philanthropy income stream. You will be responsible for generating 5- and 6-figure gifts from trusts, foundations and major donors, through proactive identification of prospects and first-rate stewardship of existing donors.
