Overview:

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. Ensure smooth delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of group activities. Support existing group leaders and organisers to reach more people living with and affected by prostate cancer with tools and resources.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
• Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.
• Data and Case Management: Use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support high-quality volunteer and case management, ensuring accurate data collection to support service outcomes.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver tailored training programmes for volunteers based on the specific needs of Group Leaders and Organisers. Set up regional forums for sharing best practices and peer networking. Encourage use of Members Portal to share good practice.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Best Practice Guidance document. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies to maintain safe governance of peer support groups.

Skills and Qualities Required:

• Strong Facilitation and Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Project Management: Proven skills in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.
• Volunteer Management: Experience in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers in community settings. Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management.

CISV International are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Risk Management and Safeguarding team as the Risk Management Support Officer.

The role will focus on supporting the International Risk Management and Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Support Officer to handle the smooth running of the department as well as to help develop the Risk Management provision for our global members.

Our Spokesperson Network constitutes a network of media savvy spokespeople, who have direct experience of social injustices. Developed collaboratively with a network of leaders with lived experience, it aims to diversify the voices we hear in the media and make it more representative of the society we live in. Through training, media mentoring, peer support and speaking opportunities, we tackle the barriers that prevent these experts from engaging with journalists who have the power to influence coverage and ultimately drive change.

Members of our network have spoken on all the major news outlets from BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio Four, ITV News, to the Times, the Guardian, places where they can reach audiences of millions and have influenced documentaries and a storyline for a high profile drama. They’ve become part of policy and advisory conversations: APPGs (All Party Parliamentary Groups), Governmental select committees, speaking at Party Conferences and joining advisory panels.

Our work additionally seeks to support the wider charity sector to develop and amplify lived experience stories and expertise themselves. You will provide strategic support to our dynamic Spokesperson Network of leaders with direct experience of social injustices, through;

This role will enable us to increase the visibility and impact of our programme participants and their communities by engaging with journalists, media professionals, and other influential platforms. You will work closely with our community to activate and strengthen our network, driving collective action and amplifying the important issues they are addressing. Building trusted relationships with lived experience leaders is key, and you will ensure that all engagement is grounded in ethical, trauma-aware, and holistic support.

Sharing knowledge with other charities supporting Spokesperson Networks
You will help share what we learn through our work with other charities and learn from them too. Using peer-led sessions to share best practice, challenges and ideas for charities working to amplify the voices of people with direct experience of social injustice.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Officer.

As our reach and impact has increased significantly in recent years, so has our income, and this new role has been created in response to that demand.  This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to widen, or consolidate, their knowledge and experience of fundraising, in an international context, as well as gain communications experience.

We are a very small team so the role will cover a breadth of funding streams, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, High Value Donors, and Events, both special and community.  It is therefore important that you have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, and solid experience of crafting successful funding applications.  You will also need excellent planning and organisational skills.

 Key Responsibilities

• Steward, retain and grow the support of our existing donor portfolio: KHULA has an existing portfolio of donors including trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors, individual and regular givers, the majority of whom are based in the UK or South Africa. Alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, the post holder will be responsible for managing these relationships, including bespoke reporting for trusts and major donors and taking responsibility for their own portfolio of donors.
• Donor prospecting and new business: researching and generating new donor leads as well as acting on opportunities provided by our Board and others, converting prospects into supporters of our programmes.
• ​​External communications: working alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, assisting in the creation of our quarterly e-newsletter and the Annual Report, managing our social media channels, in addition to other ad hoc external communications.

Can you help us?
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the team supporting the work of the Clinical Quality portfolio and its four committees. Specifically, the postholder will provide support to the running of the Clinical Quality Board, the Clinical Standards Committee, the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Committee and the SRH Research Group.

As part of the team the postholder will work closely with the Vice President and Director of Clinical Quality, the FSRH Clinical Quality Committee Chairs and members, as well as wider clinical experts and stakeholders. The role:
