The hours available to work are 22.5 a week. The full-time salary is £24,502 pro-rata salary of £14,701.20 for 22.5 hours.
The successful candidate will be required to work core hours but there is flexibility on the days which can be discussed at interview stage.

About the role - Your main duties will include:
- To work with the Head of EDI to deliver the organisations EDI objectives.
- To work in partnership with Dimensions business support teams to ensure information, processes, systems etc. are as accessible and inclusive as possible for all colleagues
- To engage and participate in external EDI related network groups to develop our knowledge and understanding
- To support individuals, managers and the HR team with the internal reasonable adjustment process.

As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. As Head of Development, you will:

Ideal skills and experience:

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.
Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

The postholder will also act as one of the points of contact with external HR support, building an effective working relationship.
To be successful, you will have significant experience as a HR professional, having previously advised and supporting managers in a range of employee relations. We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Social Impact Fast Track. In the first year of your programme you will join the team as an Analyst and, subject to successful completion of year one, in year two you will progress to Senior Analyst. During your two-year programme you will work within at least two of our organisational practices. You will work directly with our partners, understanding their needs and supporting them to maximise their impact. During the programme you will also lead pro-bono projects for our corporate social responsibility partners.
In addition to gaining experience with our partners and within our teams, you will undertake a structured learning and development programme which includes mentoring from one of our Group Directors, and regular learning and development sessions including a dedicated professional development budget. Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.
