About the role

As Philanthropy Manager, you will be a key player in securing philanthropic gifts for paediatric medical research as the charity makes it largest ever investment into child health research, as well as other areas of the Charity's work.

We're looking for an experienced and creative relationship manager with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You are a proactive individual, with experience in shaping fundraising initiatives or similar projects effectively in partnership with key stakeholders. About you

You will have proven experience of philanthropy fundraising or an equivalent field with a track record of initiating new high-value relationships and managing long-term donor/client relationships.

Refugee Council – Stewardship and Events Manager
Location: Stratford, London (hybrid of home working and 1-2 days per week in Stratford Office)

Refugee Council is seeking a Stewardship and Event Manager to lead on excellent stewardship and events at the charity.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships management team and represents a brilliant opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.

Working with key stakeholders from across the organisation, the postholder will play a lead role in the development and delivery of an ambitious stewardship and events programme, offering a range of activities to engage and inspire supporters, and ensure that they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Refugee Council.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing a special events programme to support cultivation and income generation, as well as of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. They will also have experience of leading on the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of a range of event types, from small, intimate dinners to large receptions and be adept at creating and managing a monitoring and evaluation framework to track activity and apply lessons learned to future activities.  They will also be comfortable working with senior leaders within Refugee Council, as well as corporate leaders, parliamentarians and other influential people, alongside having a sound understanding of the principles and impact of exemplary stewardship and cultivation of supporters and prospects.

Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

‘I AM Brent’ consortium

Step Up Hub leads a consortium, known as I AM Brent, that consists of six well-respected local charities who are working together to address the root causes and effects of violence affecting young people in the London Borough of Brent.

Programme Description

The programme is part of the Mayor of London’s flagship violence reduction programme, known as MyEnds. It is a place-based violence reduction initiative that adopts a public health approach. The consortium is providing an array of positive opportunities for young people and support for families, including through tailored interventions. The programme also aims to improve statutory and voluntary organisation networks and access to referral, and to ensure the voices of young people and community members are built into provision. The work is focused on the Church Road Estate, Stonebridge Estate, St Raphael’s Estate, Chalkhill Estate and Harlesden Town Centre areas.

The Role of the Programme Manager

The Programme Manager will act as the glue between consortium members and provide a key link with statutory bodies, voluntary organisations, and the community. The Programme Manager will be responsible for supporting consortium members with project deliverables where necessary, optimising the integration of provision, overseeing referrals, and brokering community partnerships. The Programme Manager will also schedule meetings and shared activities, provide secretarial support, and represent Step Up Hub and the consortium at relevant meetings.

In addition, the Programme Manager will:

· be responsible for line management of two other Step Up Hub staff members working on I AM Brent programme deliverables, a Network and Communication Lead and a Community Engagement Lead,

· manage, report on, monitor and evaluate the progress of interventions,

· report to VRU, attend VRU meetings, and cascade relevant information from the VRU to consortium members,

· be responsible for engaging stakeholders and community partners, identifying and leveraging their skills, expertise and assets, and leading on youth and community forums

· help engender an environment of trust and collaboration to support stakeholders and community partners engage positively with Step Up Hub and the consortium,

· manage a grant pot and support the delivery of small projects that are funded from it,

· work to actively promote the consortium and Step Up Hub’s activities, as per the organisational guidelines, through producing publicity materials and written reports for regular newsletters and by keeping the website updated,

· coordinate and monitor project budgets, working alongside the finance officer as required,

· ensure that safeguarding is central to the service delivery and is systemically built into case management processes,

· ensure equality of opportunity is embedded in all service delivery by Step Up Hub and consortium partners,

· provide secretarial services for the project steering group, progress meetings and small grants awarding panel.

The programme manager will be supported by the Step Up Hub senior leadership team and consortium partners on all aspects of programme delivery.

We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Reporting Manager in our Clerk of the Parliament’s Office at the House of Lords. The role:

The successful candidate will have extensive Park Management experience in a similar sized public park or community green space. As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Community Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

Main duties

We are seeking an established fundraiser with experience of raising funds from trusts and foundations and is looking to take the next step in their career. Working in a supportive and well-established charity, you will have the autonomy and agency to lead in developing innovative new funding asks working closely with senior colleagues. You will manage, maintain and enhance relationships with existing partners and identify, approach and win the support of new supporters to expand our work. Through working collaboratively across the charity and producing high quality reports to our funders, you will see the tangible impact of your work on the lives of the Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities supported by the projects you have secured funding for.

You will work closely with the SMT to identify and research prospects, develop compelling applications, and manage funding streams. You will play a key role in building an effective Trust and Foundation Fundraising function, establishing effective ways of working across the charity and building positive, engaging, long-term relationships with funders.

The ideal candidate will be committed to tackling racism and reducing inequalities, you will be driven and ambitious, with experience across a range of fundraising methods but must have significant experience in developing Trust and Foundation relationships and evidence of securing 5 and 6 figure partnerships or grants.

Project Manager International Nature

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate to join a leading Nature programme in this newly created team, supporting emerging international work.

This is a hybrid working role with potential travel opportunities!

Position: Associate – International Nature

The Role

As a key member of the Institute’s growing nature team, you will be working specifically international nature markets. You will be working on a funded project of work, to support COP15 signatories to understand and implement models and markets that unlock private sector capital into nature restoration and conservation and help them meet their Target 19 commitments. This role will be part of a three-person team within the broader nature team.

You will gain exposure to a range of stakeholders including policy makers, project developers and the private sector across multiple countries. Your responsibilities will include organising stakeholder convening, undertaking research and analysis, developing content, and managing sub-projects autonomously.

Collaboration with industry, government, civil society and academia internationally is a key element of this role and we are looking for team members who will thrive in a dynamic environment where creative thinking, communication and time management skills are essential.

About You

This is an exciting role for someone who has already gained relevant experience within the international development and/or environmental or sustainable finance sectors, looking to continue a career in the emerging area of nature-based investing and natural capital.

The Institute’s nature team is in growth mode and as such this role would suit a versatile project manager who is focused on timely delivery. You are expected to have some stakeholder management skills and strong research and writing skills.

You will be expected to grow your project management and stakeholder management skills and be confident in taking initiatives to manage relationships with potential and existing partners. Ability to co-ordinate multiple projects will be important, and you must be comfortable working in a flexible way. You will grow your expertise in selected areas regarding the content and structure of nature-based revenue models. You will manage one junior role with possibly short-term consultants to oversee from time to time.

The post holder will both provide the day-to-day bookkeeping support for our busy finance function as well as providing administrative support for our two Boards and their various Sub Committees.
