The Database and Gifts Officer role is integral to the Development and Alumnae Relations (DAR) department, supporting the school’s fundraising and engagement efforts. The postholder will manage and maintain the alumni and donor database, ensuring the accurate entry of gifts and pledges, and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure financial data is up to date and reconciled. Additionally, the post holder will create targeted mailing lists, conduct due diligence on prospective donors, and support the identification of lost alumnae. The role also involves ensuring compliance with data protection laws and contributing to DAR events, which may occasionally occur outside regular hours .
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience of working on a database, extracting, interrogating and reporting on data.
- Knowledge and experience of Raiser’s Edge, Toucan Tech or a similar fundraising database.
- Demonstrated track record of processing gifts and donations
- Proven track record of database administration, import/export, configuration and problem resolution.

You will complete an Initial Needs Assessment (INA) with each client, having a detailed discussion with them to outline their situation and the support they need. Working together with your client, you will map out and agree a set of interventions and the outcomes needed, encouraging and empowering them to actively contribute towards their goals.

BACKGROUND
The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. Gambling with Lives (GwL) was founded in 2018 by the families and friends of people who had taken their own lives as a direct result of gambling. The charity supports people bereaved by gambling-related suicide, raises awareness of the devastating effects of gambling disorder and works to prevent gambling-related harm and suicide.
We are recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer to join us on a 14-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) to start in early 2025. Gambling with Lives operates as a fully remote working organisation however there will be some UK travel required as part of the role.
The Chief Operating Officer is the most senior staff role within the organisation, responsible for the day to day running of the charity and, in close coordination with GwL's co-founders, delivering the organisation's strategy. The MND Association is committed to improving care and support for people with motor neurone disease (MND), as well as their families and carers. As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will lead on policy issues related to access to treatments, including the availability of medicines, tests, technologies and care models. You’ll play a key role in analysing the MND research landscape, identifying challenges, and developing solutions. This includes creating briefings and policy positions, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with external stakeholders such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Medicines and healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) Department of Health and Social Care, and NHS England. About The Role
The Social Mobility and Widening Participation Senior Officer is a vital member of the department. The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. They will also be involved in a range of other challenging projects run across the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Department.
This role will co-lead on the delivery of K+, supporting participants on our arts, humanities and social science pathways. K+ is King’s flagship widening participation programme for sixth form and college students. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive range of events for Year 12 participants as part of non-residential Spring and Summer Schools. This will involve working collaboratively with schools and teachers within Greater London and King’s target regions, King’s faculties and with corporate and charity partners.
The post holder will work closely with the wider Post-16 Programmes team, student ambassadors and key partner staff. This role is responsible to the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Manager.
