Are you a proactive, organised and collaborative individual with a proven record of working in services providing administrative support in a busy, pressurised environment?  Looking for a career-enhancing new opportunity?

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a highly efficient Remand Accommodation Administrator to join our team and provide administrative support to our team working on our vital project that provides tailored accommodation support to men in custody and under probation supervision in the community in Yorkshire and Humber.

About St Giles Trust

An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.

St Giles is now a kickstart employer, so we are part of the scheme which provides job opportunities for 16-24-year-olds who are currently on Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

About this exciting opportunity

This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate focus on providing full administrative and office management support to ensure the most effective delivery of the service.  This will involve providing information and analyse reports to help in the delivery, management and development of services, responsibility for general office administration, data entry and processing, coordinating, managing and allocating referrals, signposting to other pathways, and internal enquiries.

We will also count on you to process sensitive and confidential data on digital systems and maintain records, ensure the timely and accurate distribution of information throughout the team and to ensure that all enquires by any method of communication are dealt with in a polite, friendly and efficient manner.  Working collaboratively in a multi-agency setting and maintaining professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information are all also key elements of the role.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of working in services providing administrative support in a busy, pressurised environment
  • Experience of managing Case Management systems, including inputting data and creating reports
  • Experience of working in services which provide support to people who have faced adversity
  • An understanding and knowledge of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
  • The ability to manage your workload effectively including prioritising tasks
  • Strong IT skills, incl. proven experience of using Word, Excel, and Outlook in a similar work environment
  • Impressive interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work

In return, you can expect a competitive salary, generous leave allowance, staff pension, flexible working, a mentoring programme, an advice and counselling service, childcare vouchers, season ticket loan and much more.

As an organisation that works with children and adults at risk we are committed to safeguarding, protecting and promoting the safety of our clients and successful applicants will be DBS Checked.

St Giles will guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria set out in the Job Description for the vacancy.
