The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload. This post will involve the assessment and appropriate treatment of people presenting with mental health problems, working within NHS Talking Therapies. The post holder will be expected to attend regular supervision and may have additional areas of responsibility for clinical service development as required.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and work in various community settings (including GP surgeries) and psychological treatment centres.

Key responsibilities:

Clinical

1. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.

2. Conduct assessments and therapy over the telephone, telemedicine and face to face.

3. Offer High Intensity treatment in individual and group settings (as agreed)

4. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.

5. Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for people attending the service.

6. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.

7. Take responsibility for promoting access to the services provided and the delivery of cognitive behavioural therapies in the peripheral settings where the therapist works. For example, therapists working within GP Surgeries will be expected to attend GP Practice meetings and develop and maintain professional relationships with members of the primary care team. They will be expected to promote the service by ensuring that there are readily available promotional material for both members of the public and members of the primary care team.

8. Liaise with other psychological therapy services in order to work jointly to improve provision of psychological services to local residents.

9. Plan appropriate packages of care for each service user. Liaise as appropriate with other professionals within the service and externally to effectively communicate your assessment and facilitate transfer of care to an appropriate professional.

10. Conduct risk assessments, prepare risk management plans and initiate appropriate action where indicated (including referrals to relevant secondary care services and child and adult safeguarding services)

11. Elicit outcome data from people using services and their carers. Use the TALKING THERAPIES IAPTUS system to record clinical contact details, clinical records, outcome data, and passage though the care pathway.

12. Ensure that people under your care are cared for appropriately under the stepped care framework as currently in use within the service.

13. Adhere to the operations manual and other relevant protocols and procedures as directed by your line manager.

14. Take personal (unprompted) responsibility for achieving agreed clinical activity relating to the number of therapy contact hours per week.

15. Actively contribute to and support the integration of clinical governance in the service within your own area of work and contribute to service clinical governance process in a specific area of work under the direction and supervision of a Senior Therapist.

16. Develop an area of enhanced (specialist) clinical work (e.g. PTSD, OCD, Long Term Health Conditions, Perinatal, Eating Disorders, Social phobia etc). It is expected that the areas of specialist work will shift in focus over time to reflect service need and your need to continuing professional development.

17. Carry out clinical audits of aspects of the CBT service as directed, including feedback from people who have used the service, analyse and feedback to the service verbally and in writing.

Training and Supervision

18. Attend clinical supervision in group or individual format within service.

19. Participate in peer supervision with professional colleagues.

20. Develop and engage in your own CPD, including active engagement in and use of clinical supervision of your own therapy.

21. Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the TALKING THERAPIES approved training/ workshops in line with identified professional objectives.

22. Support peer learning through attending and contributing to journal clubs and other in-house service CPD events

23. Once suitable supervision training and experience has been gained, supervise other staff as directed

Professional

24. Ensure that client confidentiality is protected at all times.

25. Co-ordinate and liaise between different staff groups within Mind in Bexley.

26. Support the CBT Service Public & Professional Educational functions by contributing to professional education program under the supervision of senior members of the department.

27. Support the CBT Service Public & Professional Educational functions by delivering interactive psycho-education within a CBT framework to large groups of Service Users under the supervision of senior members of the department.

28. Exercise personal responsibility for the systematic clinical governance of your own professional practice.

29. Proactively take responsibility for attending supervision, case management and line management regularly, participate in objective setting, performance reviews and respond to agreed objectives.

30. Be aware of and comply with company policies, procedures and standards of service

31. Promote and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy therapeutic culture within the team and amongst colleagues across the service and Service Users.

You may be required to cover an evening shift from 12pm - 8pm with occasional Saturday working to meet the needs of our clients.

nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.
The Emma Project, Daria House and Jan’s Place are specialist services providing refuge and support services to women who have been subjected to domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse, including women who have been sexually exploited, including through prostitution and who also use substances problematically.

About the post

These posts are currently funded until 31st March 2026 with a possibility of further extension. You will work closely alongside the refuges Team Leader and Service Manager to implement and deliver a trauma informed approach to refuge services.

Summary of role

The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

• Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

• Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

• Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations 

• Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

• Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising 

• Help to generate and realise new community fundraising ideas

• Work with communications team to ensure regular updates about community fundraising activities to drive donations and inspire and ask others to fundraise for Choose Love

Events Assistance

• Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

• Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

• Running ad hoc pop up merch stalls with corporate partners

• Running festival stalls 

General Partnerships 

• Working collaboratively with the team and Choose Love Leadership to creatively and practically build the Partnerships team’s fundraising revenue

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness.  The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate and support their diverse programmes. 
 
The Major Donor Manager will develop and deliver a leading-edge programme of major donor fundraising that maximises sustainable income and long-term value for the Charity, ensuring that high-value fundraising opportunities arising from the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026 are optimised. They will ensure the highest quality of stewardship and supporter engagement, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless approach to major donor cultivation. Key duties include: 

• Work with the Head of Leadership Giving to further develop the Charity’s major donor fundraising strategy and budget, maximising sustainable net income and capitalising on opportunities afforded by the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026. 

• Acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s values and programmes, working collaboratively to provide bespoke donor information and cases for support. 

• Produce and implement solicitation and development plans for existing major donors and prospects, developing opportunities for them to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities. 

• Establish and deliver a programme of major donor research, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship that drives interest, engagement and major giving. 

• Develop and deliver high quality, innovative and persuasive pitches (including collateral and supporting budgets) to prospective and existing major donors to deliver income and pipeline development targets. 

• Develop relationships with Trustees and other key stakeholders where appropriate in order to access peer networks for potential prospecting, supporting them as peer advocates and ambassadors for the Charity. 

• Establish and support major donor solicitation vehicles (for example volunteer leadership boards) to aid in the delivery of the major donor fundraising strategy and programme. 

• Work collaboratively across the St Martins’ partner charities to ensure major donor relationships are stewarded in a way that optimises engagement and giving to St Martins’ causes. 

 
We’re looking for the following skills and experience: 

• Successful track record in securing and growing financial contributions from major donor audiences. 

• Proven experience working with senior volunteers, influencers or advisers to achieve major donor fundraising success, either from development boards or giving networks.   

• Demonstrable success in converting prospects to donors, personally securing gifts from private individuals of £50k plus. 

• Demonstrable experience of negotiating significant major gifts that have required balancing the demands of major donors with the needs/expectations of the Charity. 

• Experience of deploying prospect research and wealth screening techniques to build major donor supporter and prospect insight. 

• Experience of high value special events and cultivation programmes.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. You will manage the Policy and Public Affairs team in Northern Ireland and lead the delivery of evidence-based and carer-led public affairs, campaigning, media and research activity across Northern Ireland.

With your team you will lead on a wide range of activity including Carers NI’s policy, research and campaigning work; as well as being responsible for the delivery of awareness campaigns like Carers Week and Carers Rights Day; fronting media and social media activity and representing the charity at the highest level of decision-making in Northern Ireland.

Carers NI’s Policy and Public Affairs team also leads on the Carer Poverty Commission in NI, as well as the Advocacy and Voice Project for unpaid carers, which you will be responsible for delivering.

Support Young People in Governance

• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of existing recommendations produced by youth-led research into young women in governance.

• Assess what is needed to continue to grow WAGGGS’s meaningful youth participation practice in the governance space.

• Collaborate with the WAGGGS Governance Team to put into action recommendations.

Ensure Meaningful Participation of Girls and Young Women 

• Support the participation of girls and young women in WAGGGS activities across the organisation through, for example,

• Helping to implement safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Checking written content to ensure that it is clear and accessible.

• Advising on how to make sure young people feel meaningfully included.

• Identifying practical ways so that every and any girl can take part in WAGGGS opportunities, taking into account our global diversity and range of languages, time zones and contexts.

About this role  

The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and business development Team at RedR. Their role is to work across all income streams within business development and fundraising, with a focus on running the business development and fundraising team’s day to day work, supporting the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in meeting BD and fundraising targets, draft high quality bids – particularly to institutional funders-, and nurturing relationships individual and corporate donors, as well as trusts and foundations.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Team, Project and Line Management  

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer. 

• Ensure timely delivery of BD and fundraising projects and deadlines in coordination with teams across organisation 

• Oversee the management and maintenance of Salesforce and other software and applications. 

• Ensure accurate income consolidation and donation capturing. 

• Support the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in developing/updating and operationalising team strategies, budgets, systems, and processes. 

• Regularly provide feedback and information to achieve improved results and integrate planning and delegation when making decisions. 

Achieving Results: 

Business Development 

• Set ambitious targets together with Associate Director and achieve progress toward organisational objectives and Operational Plan.  

• Conduct internal reporting and prospect research into opportunities and funder priorities 

• Lead the development of successful small-medium and occasionally larger and complex bids to institutional and corporate donors, trusts and foundations in collaboration with teams across the organisation  

• Assist the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in developing large bids, primarily for institutional funders, ensuring drafts are prepared to a high standard.  

Fundraising: (With support from Communications Team) 

• Lead the delivery of smaller fundraising activities and events. 

• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to secure funding from trusts and foundations. 

• Identify and implement opportunities for engaging individual donors. 

Engaging with Stakeholders: 

• Develop and implement strategies for engagement and partnerships with a wide range of funding stakeholders. 

• Nurture strategic partnerships with key clients, understanding their underlying needs and exploring opportunities for cross-collaboration. 

• Share relationship management of institutional and corporate donors, trusts and foundations. 

• Communicate RedR UK’s unique value proposition to clients and expand the scope of engagement with them. 

• Successfully negotiate terms that benefit both the client and RedR UK. 

Demonstrating Leadership: 

• Line-manage BD coordinator effectively, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance. 

• Promote a culture of innovation and adaptability and encourage leadership development within the team. 

• Demonstrate flexibility in situations of rapid change and maintain focus on delivering timely and appropriate results using available resources. 

Humanitarian Learning Principles and Practices: 

• Advocate for humanitarian principles and lead their integration into fundraising strategies and proposals. 

• Ensure that all fundraising proposals and activities uphold humanitarian principles, enhancing the organisation’s compliance and ethical standards. 

• Lead educational initiatives to deepen team understanding and application of humanitarian standards. 

Technical Expertise: 

• Exhibit technical skills in fundraising; strong understanding of humanitarian sector, funder priorities, bid development skills, writing, etc. 

• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex, multidimensional problems and serve as a technical resource for other team members. 

• Continuously seek advanced learning opportunities and integrate cutting-edge practices into the team. 

FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS 

EXPERIENCE 

Essential: 

• Good experience working with institutional funders and understanding funder priorities. 

• Experience in the humanitarian sector and developing larger bids for institutional funders. 

• Excellent writing skills and the ability to bring bids to a very high standard. 

• Ability to present projects and organisation in line with funder priorities, criteria and requirements 

• Good understanding of compliance and due diligence 

• Proactive, independent, and collaborative attitude in a fast-paced organisation.

Ideal:

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees

• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.

8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.

9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.

10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.

11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).

13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.

14. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

Individual Placement & Support (IPS) is an internationally recognised and evidence-based supported employment intervention.  IPS is regarded as the most effective and efficient way of helping people with mental health issues into competitive and sustainable employment.

Twining was the first non-NHS provider to be awarded Centre of Excellence status for its IPS service in Barnet.

Funded by London Borough of Waltham Forest, the project seeks to support the most vulnerable families in the borough, working closely in partnership with the Early Help team.

The role will be supporting families, mainly at local Children and Family Centres across the borough, in relation to stabilising their finances which will mainly involve debt and benefit issues and support with financial capability. 

The post holder will support clients to reduce and/or better manage personal debt and maximise benefit entitlement. They will deliver services in a variety of ways including one to one, drop in and by appointment at outreach in Waltham Forest. All channels will be utilised to deliver services and an assessment will be made of the level of support required including providing casework support.
