The Directoe of Fundraising and Communiations will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Foundation’s 2023 – 2026 Ready for Business organisational strategy and our ambition to reach one million women entrepreneurs by 2030, significantly scaling income generation and building the Foundation’s profile. The postholder will be a member of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), along with the CEO, COO, Director of Programmes and Impact, and Finance Director.

What a day might look like for you:
As our Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Animals in Entertainment & the Media, you will develop and implement a strategic plan to raise industry standards, improve legal protection, and shift public attitudes to improve the welfare of animals used in these industries.
The role is situated in the RSPCA's Wildlife Department but the scope of the work includes all animals, including companion animals, so you will work collaboratively across several departments.

- Generate and maintain RSPCA policies, strategic aims, goals and objectives relating to animals in entertainment and the media.
- Develop and implement a strategic influencing plan to improve industry standards, legal protection, and public attitudes towards animals in entertainment and the media
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including those in the entertainment industry, animal welfare organisations, and regulatory bodies, and represent the RSPCA in advocacy coalitions to achieve the RSPCA's goals and objectives.
- Prepare and deliver evidence-based briefing papers, policy reports, position statements, articles, and press releases.
- Work with RSPCA colleagues to ensure RSPCA standards are based on the latest scientific evidence and best practices.
- Undertake media interviews as the RSPCA's lead spokesperson on animal welfare in entertainment.
- Stay up-to-date on animal welfare science, legislation, ethics, and industry developments.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. Family Rights Group is the leading child welfare charity, and is rolling out its highly successful Lifelong Links programme in London for care experienced young people. As the Fund for Global Human Rights’ income has grown year on year, so has its portion of funding from restricted and complex grants, including from some bilateral donors and the European Union. By establishing strong government partnerships and securing essential funding, we aim to amplify our impact and advance our mission in more than 40 countries around the world where we support grantee partners and human rights movement building.
The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. You will not be starting from scratch, as we currently have secured government funding, as well as numerous relationships with governments that can be leveraged. And you will work in partnership with many colleagues across departments who will contribute to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Preparation: Help prepare the organization for success in securing new government funding by developing internal systems, processes, and workflows necessary for effective engagement and management.
- Strategy Development: Contribute to refining and enhancing the government fundraising strategy to align with organizational goals and emerging opportunities.

- Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in fundraising for international human rights, social justice and/or development cooperation, with a proven track record of securing funding from government donors through both relationship building and competitive bids.

- Support our key marketing projects including gift membership, private site, telemarketing, our annual member survey and renewal journey.
- Support the distribution and creation of promotional resources, regularly checking stock levels, and re-ordering or refreshing materials as needed, liaising with external suppliers such as print or mailing houses and delivering to budgets and deadline.
- Support the creation of e-communications, including emails to prospective members. This may include proofing content, sourcing images, checking data, building emails and reviewing content requests with support from the team.
- Provide regular impact communications and surprise and delight moments to our suppliers and fundraisers acting on our behalf
- Source inspirational stories from our walking groups and volunteers, to help support growth of our membership community.
- Check data from our Data Team and from our suppliers to ensure it is accurate and in the right format. Provide data as needed to suppliers.

- Check data is lasered correctly on printed materials, raising any concerns appropriately with suppliers

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Ministry Development Officer (MDO) for ministerial and vocational flourishing to drive this critical work within the life of the Church.
The role is based within the Ministries: Vocations and Worship (MVW) team of the Connexional Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, which exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry. The MDO will support the embedding of strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.
Within the team, the MDO will be responsible for:
- Researching, developing, implementing and evaluating the impact of preventative strategies for ordained ministers’ flourishing and wellbeing.

Position
This role is part of a small team that forms the secretariat for two vibrant, dynamic networks of mission-driven asset owners: the Charities Responsible Investment Network (CRIN) and the Responsible Investment Network – Universities (RINU). We support members to align their investments with their social and environmental missions and values through a tailored programme of networking, advocacy and educational activities. The networks are unique spaces, enabling members to collaborate, share best practice and be leaders at the cutting edge of thinking around what it means to be a responsible investor.
You will make a significant contribution to our team by supporting the design and delivery of our annual workplan for CRIN and RINU and engaging members to participate in network activities. You will be key to ensuring the smooth running of the secretariat, including monitoring and evaluation to ensure that our work is as impactful as possible.
The secretariat sits in ShareAction’s Investor Engagement team, which engages with a range of actors to develop and drive up standards of responsible investment. You will work closely with the Senior Engagement Manager (Asset Owner Networks), who manages the work of the networks, and with the Senior Research Manager (Investors), who supports members to leverage research and analysis, and engage with their financial service providers, such as asset managers and consultants.
In this fast-paced role, on a day-to-day basis, you might be:
- Designing new projects (such as an educational workshop or advocacy initiative) for our annual workplan of activities.
- Responding to enquiries from and holding meetings with members or prospective members (foundations, trusts, operational charities, universities and colleges).
- Organising quarterly member meetings, as well as other workshops on topics such as participatory decision-making in investment, artificial intelligence and responsible investment, or divestment and the arms trade (scheduling, agenda drafting, note taking, facilitating discussions and coordinating follow-up actions).

Senior Programmes Officer: Local First

Peace Direct is an international charity that works with local peacebuilders and their allies to shift power and resources for sustainable peace. The role
As Senior Programmes Officer you will closely with our peacebuilding partners to help deliver an ambitious new programme of work. 'Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System' will support local peacebuilders in Mali, Afghanistan, Sudan and eastern DRC to increase prospects for sustainable peace.
Through Local First, Peace Direct will work with policymakers and power holders, supporting them to understand the dysfunctions of the peacebuilding system, and find ways to better support locally-led peacebuilding.
This role is responsible for developing and managing partnerships within the four countries, with initial emphasis on Mali. You will work closely with our other SPOs who manage partnerships in the four countries, and create and manage opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another.
