We are recruiting for a PR Manager who will be is responsible for engaging with traditional, new, and niche media, across campaign areas including music, art, gaming and sport, and devising PR plans that support these and other fundraising and advocacy goals. You will play a leading role in planning and executing the PR communications activities for War Child UK, as well as overseeing superb content development that supports PR activities. You will also play an important part in executing our brand narrative around children affected by conflict and how War Child are supporting them with power and impact.

• An experienced media professional, with a track record of developing, leading and managing creative PR campaigns related to music, art, gaming or other creative sectors.

• Experience of developing media partnerships with online outlets, magazines newspapers, broadcast media and able to navigate these relationships to ensure the best possible outcomes for War Child.
• Well connected with strong and strategic media contacts, preferably with journalists and outlets who specialise in music, art, gaming or other creative fields.
• Experienced in developing and commissioning content, ideally with experience of effective storage, management, editing and production of such content for PR purposes.
• Experienced in developing press angles and hooks that achieve cut-through for campaigns related to music, art, gaming or other creative fields in a competitive media landscape.
• Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and requests and respond flexibly as urgency requires – whilst consistently meetings deadlines and delivering agreed outputs.
• Already has or would welcome quickly developing an understanding of the sensitivities involved in media work when it comes to vulnerable children and young people, and how to balance objectives with safeguarding obligations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence to deal with a variety and internal and external stakeholders and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established Homeline befriending project as a brand-new Dementia Coordinator. The aim of this role will be to set up, coordinate and develop a range of dementia support for isolated and lonely 60+ residents of Hammersmith and Fulham living with dementia and their carers. 

Specifically, the Dementia Coordinator will: 

• Head up a new dementia information hub within The Creighton Centre. This will involve coordinating a Dementia information and advice service, partnering with dementia health care professionals to deliver advice, signposting and referrals to people living with Dementia and their carers. 

• Network and develop strong links with local cross sector dementia services. 

• Develop additional inclusive activities to complement existing Homeline activities e.g. dance therapy, gardening club. 

• Promote new dementia volunteer roles and support Homeline Volunteer Coordinator to recruit team of 15 Dementia Ambassadors, and up to 50 Dementia home befrienders. 

• Coordinate dementia training and ongoing support of volunteer ambassadors/volunteers. 

• Coordinate up to 30 dementia home and care home befriending matches within year 1 (up to 50 annually for year 2 and 3), with a focus on meaningful sensory activities and keeping active.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of EngineeringUK’s work to understand the impact of our activity at a programme and organisational level. You will have responsibility for developing and embedding our approach to impact evaluation that enables us to measure progress against our organisational mission, measure and evaluate the impact of our activities and support the wider community in improving approaches to monitoring and evaluation. You will manage a small team and work in close partnership with the Head of Research with whom you may be responsible for joint objectives and deliverables. You will also work closely with the Policy & Public Affairs and Communications teams.
 

A key part of this role will involve leading and quality assuring evaluation plans and delivery, as well as distilling and reporting findings in a meaningful way to shape and evidence the direction of EngineeringUK’s work. A strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis and experience communicating complex information to a range of audiences is therefore required
 

The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 40 countries, committed to breaking the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realising everyone’s right to a nationality. About the organisation

nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.

East London Rape Crisis provides free, confidential specialist support for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any other form of sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives, regardless of whether or not they have reported to the police. About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Developing and maintaining an Estates log and diary to ensure the team always have an approved site to meet service users in mandated locations when needed and providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

We are working with the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI) in recruiting for a Professional Development Manager, a brand new position at the organisation. This role will be pivotal in shaping the strategic delivery of their professional development programme, and expanding influence via their embedded Learning Management System (LMS).

The ITI offers a range of memberships that support skilled language professionals throughout their career. Their membership base includes individuals, corporate members and academic institutions in the UK, and a growing international membership. Their strategic priorities as an organisation are focussed around professional development, engagement and advocacy.

The role will include managing two members of staff, leading the team to grow their professional development programme, creating engaging content, expanding commercial opportunities and driving value to members. The organisation completed the implementation of a new LMS (D2L, Brightspace) last year, and envisage the successful candidate to be proactive, taking initiative to develop new partnerships and BD opportunities through the LMS.

Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton (CABB) is a leading provider of legal advice and information, supporting thousands of clients every year. We are a busy, client focused and dynamic service with a track record of delivering high quality advice. Our services are delivered between 8am – 6pm. Postholders will be expected to actively contribute to service delivery rotas between these times.

The post holder will work as part of a well-established team, providing reliable and effective advice services, across all advice channels and access points, utilised by Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton. 

Key elements:

• Deliver free face-to-face quality assured advice for those vulnerable to fuel poverty across Bury and Bolton to support them towards being able to keep warm and healthier homes.
• Promote greater awareness and access to advice and other services pursuant to helping people with fuel insecurity.

The postholder will target cohorts to afford their energy bills, and reduce fuel poverty, creating a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, exhibit excellent listening and questioning skills and to present and conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner with all clients seeking support.

You will liaise with local partners and stakeholders across Bury & Bolton, including internal colleagues within CABB. You will have a robust understanding of the importance of security and data protection to ensure all data is protected in line with GDPR legislation. You will have a good standard of numeracy to perform benefit check calculations to aid the advice process and be proficient in the use of computer packages with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have an open and friendly demeanour and be able to work as part of a diverse team.
