An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Services Assistant to join the Development, Alumni and Campaigns team to support the stewardship of our donors, alumni activity and the management of donations to the University. 
 
Key duties of the role include maintaining donor records on our system, drafting documents such as thank you letters and gift agreements, processing and reconciliation of donations and support for events and alumni activity.
 
You will have good organisation and time management skills as well as the ability to pay attention to detail both in financial and written work. 
 
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

YMCA Hastings provide supported accommodation for a total of 47 young people at risk of homelessness, aged 16 to 25, and care experienced young people under the age of 18. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Our staff team comprises of Support Workers, Night Staff and Managers. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

As a Supported Housing Support Worker you will hold a caseload of residents, working with them on a one-to-one basis with also facilitating group work sessions. You will identify their needs by listening to them, with employing psychologically informed approaches to enable residents to make better choices and take responsibility for their actions. You will work closely with other services such as, Social Services, Police, Probation, education providers and local organisations. Our projects already have excellent working relationships with these services, and your role will build on these. You will be helping them to improve their practical living skills such as cleaning, budgeting, managing behaviour, seeking, and securing employment and making wise decisions. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Outreach Worker supporting individuals who are homeless with complex needs and have been excluded from services.

Richmond Fellowship works as part of the Bridge the Gap Alliance within a well-established, multidisciplinary team set up to meet the needs of homeless people based in East Surrey. We provide support to clients with interventions through specialist workers including Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Community Inclusion, Homelessness, Crisis Prevention, Social Work, and financial support.

We are currently seeking an Outreach Worker who will be responsible for engaging with individuals with multiple and complex needs and working alongside internal & external agencies. You will support people through their journeys into statutory and voluntary services. The post holder will be expected to navigate local service provision, building strong relationships with a range of different professionals whilst advocating on the client’s behalf.

We will work with local partners to co-ordinate the care of clients to influence change in the way that organisations provide services to individuals facing multiple needs and exclusions. Applicants must have empathy with the client group and the ability to work within the ethos of Richmond Fellowship.

You will need to enjoy working with people, have a “can do” attitude and show commitment, resilience, empathy and good basic admin and IT skills. to effect system changes that can more effectively support those with complex and multiple needs and ensures that positive changes are made in the way that local services are provided.

You will work with individuals and their support networks to create personalised service plans, with the long-term aim to secure sustainable wellbeing, attend Operational Meetings to discuss clients’ needs and situations, enabling access to appropriate services and ensure that barriers are addressed so that service users can access suitable services. They will work with voluntary and statutory sector organisations to develop a personalised case management approach for homeless individuals with multiple and complex needs.

You will have experience of helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change, building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.  They will support clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan, conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging to achieve Support Plan goals and ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with clients within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’.

This is a fixed term post that ends on 31 March 2025. There are two part time posts available requiring the post holder to work 18 hours per week. This role includes evening and weekend working.

About the Role

As Principal Consultant in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) portfolio, you will be critical in expanding and enhancing the portfolio’s work. This will include developing bids for evaluations and other contracts, leading the delivery of evaluation contracts and growing the network and reputation of SDDirect. Summary of role

Reports to: Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Portfolio

Direct reports: Up to 3 reportees.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Principal Consultant in the MEL Portfolio, you will focus on providing technical and thought leadership in feminist evaluation. You will lead complex, multi-country and mixed-methods evaluations, which will focus on GEDSI as it relates to one of our SDDirect portfolios. You may also be involved in designing and delivering research across our other portfolios. In addition to delivery, you will also be involved in winning new work, leading evaluation, research or MEL bid development and raising SDDirect’s external profile and reputation.

Technical Design, Delivery & Leadership

· Design and deliver a range of mixed-methods evaluations, often in shifting and unpredictable contexts, including impact, formative, summative or process evaluations with a GEDSI focus. This will include the design of the approach, data collection tools and methodologies (surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, workshops, etc.) and analysis of the data collected.

· Support the development of SDDirect’s body of knowledge and practice on feminist evaluation, staying up to date with current thinking on models, methods, good practice and relevant debates.

· Provide leadership to SDDirect contracts as relevant, including project management responsibilities, client liaison, and support to and technical leadership of consultancy teams.

· To use negotiation and diplomacy skills and to confidently manage challenging conversations.

· To ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to high-quality standards, and in keeping with SDDirect’s ethics and ethos.

· To provide support to SDDirect’s other portfolios (Equal Education, Safeguarding, Green Economies and Infrastructure, Governance and Inclusive Societies, Gender-Based Violence), as appropriate on MEL or in research design and delivery.

· To provide technical support to other members of the MEL portfolio to support their growth and development. This would include providing actionable and constructive quality assurance and feedback to other team members.   

Raising SDDirect’s Profile

· To establish and maintain close relationships and effective networks with our clients, partners and consultants, drawing on their own professional networks. 

· To represent SDDirect at meetings, conferences and on social media and ensure that SDDirect’s work on GEDSI and evaluation is disseminated and profiled externally in a clear and accessible way, especially with key fora in the MEL sector.

· To provide internal thought leadership and professional development activities on MEL, raising the capacity of other staff on MEL.

Business Development

To contribute to the growth of SDDirect’s portfolio of work in this technical area, through:

· Identifying areas of growth and new business opportunities through close and direct contact with clients, potential clients, partners, potential partners, in-house staff and external consultants.

· Supporting the Business Development Team in identifying relevant opportunities to expand the portfolio and pipeline.

· Act as technical lead on MEL bids, bringing a rigorous understanding of evaluation design and GEDSI relevant analytical frameworks for relevant bids and proposals to clients.

· Engaging with and influencing emerging opportunities and delivery concepts and ensuring SDDirect’s MEL offering is responsive to market requirements and aligns with SDDirect’s equitable partnership principles.

Previous experience working as a support worker and managing a caseload of clients is essential for this role. 

Full Time Community Support Worker – Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 

Within this role you will be working intensively with homeless clients that have been moved into temporary accommodation, to find them private rented accommodation as quickly as possible. You will help and support individuals by providing advice on housing, welfare benefits, rent deposits and household goods via a variety of schemes.

Previous experience in this type of work is not essential, as full training will be provided, but your values will match ours; you will be committed to helping others and enjoy the real job satisfaction that this brings.

Part Time Outreach Support Worker – 28 hours per week 

You will be working out in the community with people who find themselves rough sleeping so the successful applicant must be comfortable visiting sleep sites. The role involves lone working so you will be comfortable working by yourself and managing a caseload of clients that are in the community or in emergency or temporary accommodation.

Previous experience is also not essential for this role, as full training will be provided.

Job Purpose

· To enable older people to remain living independently in their homes. You will provide practical and emotional support to customers, ensuring they understand their care and treatment choices.

· To promote the independence and well-being of older people, allowing them to live comfortably and safely in their own homes. Your support will empower customers to make informed decisions about their care and treatment, enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

· Shopping Assistance: Help customers with their shopping needs, ensuring they have access to essential items.

· Light Housework: Perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for customers.

· Medical Escort: Accompany and support customers during hospital and GP appointments, ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention.

· Additional Support Tasks: Assist customers with making telephone calls, reading and responding to correspondence, and completing simple forms (training provided), as directed by the customer.

· Person-Centred Services: Ensure that all services provided are safe and tailored to the individual needs of each customer.

· Covering Absences: Provide cover during periods of sickness and annual leave to maintain continuous service delivery.

Administration

· Incident Reporting: Report any ‘No Access’ failed visits or changes in service users' condition or circumstances in accordance with AUKEL’s policies and procedures.

· App Maintenance: Maintain the AUKEL Call-Round app and Solo Protect Lone Working Personal Safety App/device in accordance with AUKEL policies and procedures.

· Financial Accountability: Ensure any monies collected are provided to the Home & Care Service Manager within 48 hours of collection.

· Feedback Collection: Support customers to complete service feedback questionnaires where required

Quality

· Care Certificate Commitment: Candidates must commit to undertaking the Care Certificate within 12 months unless they hold NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

· Mandatory Training: Completion of essential training as required by AUKEL to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred services.

Collaboration

· Collaborative Support: Work in collaboration with other agencies providing support within the customer's home to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Contract type

We crucially support thousands of matches between older people and trained volunteers, who together enjoy a regular weekly telephone chat. Our service makes a huge difference to the lives of older people who are lonely and isolated - giving them a chance to make a new friend from the comfort of their home.

As Assessment Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a vital role supporting older people through the initial stages of the service, ensuring processes run safely and efficiently.

We support older people all over the UK - so you'll need to be comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone and communicating by email - and have excellent conversational and customer service skills. You'll also need to be passionate about supporting older people and have a good understanding of older people's needs.

This role can either be based at our office in Blackpool, or in Ashburton Devon. We offer a hybrid model of home and office based-working, so you will need to be within a reasonable distance of either the Blackpool or Ashburton office and be willing to travel there regularly. As a guide, the team currently work from the office once or twice a week but please be aware this could increase.

You will work a 35-hour working week, 5 days out of 7 with start and end times between 8am and 6pm. It will include weekend and bank holiday shifts, which will be arranged on a rota basis.

About the Service

This is a pilot working as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.

Purpose of Post

Providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health and remain a source of independent support for all clients. Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly and that a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach is embedded approach in all aspects of the roles.

Service Objectives

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

In this role you will work across two services, our Newcastle Supported Housing and Personal Budget Service.

Working for our Newcastle Support Housing service you will support individuals aged 18 and upwards who have a mental health diagnosis to move into one of our tenancies helping them to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible, you will then meet with them each week to support them both emotionally and practically to develop life skills which enable them to sustain their tenancy and eventually move on to independent living.

This can include a number of tasks such as money management, managing bills, reporting repairs and supporting them to keep on top of the cleanliness of their property. You will support them with all aspects of the move on process. You will then support the team to get the property ready for our next move in. The individuals that we support though our housing service have multiple and complex needs, this can include a struggle with addiction or an offending history as well as other support needs.

In our Personal Budget Service you will support individuals aged 18 and upwards with a mental health diagnosis who have block hours of support and whose mental ill health is causing them concern and/or affecting their lives in various way. You will meet these individuals either in their own homes and out in the community and provide tailored support around areas that they currently struggle with to help them achieve their goals. The individuals that we support through this service live across Tyne, Wear and Northumberland.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in.
