As a Recovery service facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery service.
Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. You will help shape the ongoing vision and goals of the Recovery College to ensure that future development of the service meets the needs of the people it supports. You will also participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work and ethos of Mind in Bexley.

Key Responsibilities

1. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of a thriving, innovative and effective Recovery College.

2. As part of the Recovery College team, deliver both face to face and online courses, workshops and groups according to curriculum requirements.

3. As required, design, deliver and evaluate courses, workshops and groups ensuring co-production at each stage.

4. Ensure effective learning takes place by using evidence based interventions, appropriate teaching methods and learning processes.

5. Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving high levels of student retention, measuring impact, increased involvement of participants and positive individual progress.

6. Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

7. Undertake student assessments and regularly review individual progress.

8. Support individual students in setting learning goals and participating in workshops, courses and groups to ensure positive learning outcomes.

9. Keep accurate and up to date records of students including attendance, assessments, progress and impact measures.

10. Signpost and refer students to internal and external services when appropriate.

11. Ensure individual inclusion, accessibility and other needs are met.

12. Provide students with information and advice on further learning and progression opportunities including volunteering and support into employment

13. Participate in external forums, workshops, meetings and events to promote the work of the Recovery College and Mind in Bexley.

14. Keep up to date on local resources, facilities, training and recovery services.

15. Work effectively with peer facilitators and volunteers.

16. Work in partnership with team members, colleagues, professionals and other services.

17. Participate in induction, training, supervision and continual professional development.

18. See advice and support from line manager when needed.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Associate to provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews’ projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) region. The role will be part of the Internews’ headquarters E&E Project Management

Unit (PMU) and report to the London-based Senior Programme Officer. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and help ensure.

Effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL). The role will contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good quality information. The role may also be asked to represent Internews at partner and donor meetings. The role will also contribute to Internews’ knowledge management and improvement of Internews systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time and budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact.
• Assist PMU management with project oversight and progress towards programme deliverables.
• Support project start-up, implementation, and closeout.
• Support with hiring key project personnel.
• Serve as an HQ point of contact for programmatic inquiries for assigned projects within the organisation and externally.
• Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the E&E Business team on business aspects of project delivery, including budget management and financial tracking.
• Review and revise donor narrative reports and workplans and ensure their high quality.
• Review and provide feedback on relevant programmatic and monitoring aspects, including MERL reporting, external project evaluation, and other research and studies; 
• Support internal and external communication for projects, identifying newsworthy, impactful stories and preparing content or briefings which tell those stories; undertake external representation and policy engagement where necessary.
• As assigned, support the design and development of concept notes and proposals for European donors.
• Support meetings, webinars, and other events across time zones with international partners and fellow colleagues, including coordinating agendas and travel logistics.
• Attend relevant events (panels, presentations, etc.) upon request, and share notes with the team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience of project support and donor reporting for large projects with major institutional donors, including the European Commission and SIDA.
• University degree in a related field.
• Fluency in English with excellent English-language writing and proven text-editing skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills and relevant experience.
• Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to effectively manage a dynamic workload and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and the ability to negotiate.
• Strong teamwork experience and proven track record of a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Proven ability to operate in a multicultural and remote work environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred:

• Working proficiency in Russian language.
• Proven experience of programme support in the Europe and Eurasia region.

Prospectus is pleased to be working with a homelessness charity based in Newham, whose mission is to provide support to people who find themselves sleeping rough in East London. They do this by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay, and offering support through the provision of personalised support, educational and life skills opportunities. They are now seeking a Service Manager, to oversee their Intensive Support Service (ISS) , on a temporary basis.

As Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day development, management, and service delivery of the Intensive Support team, that supports around 50 service users with complex needs, leading, supporting and motivating a team of 7. You will develop practice based on a trauma informed approach, review referrals, and ensure that new Core residents are properly assessed. Supporting the Deputy Manager, you will set team standards, ensuring that monitoring and evaluation regularly takes place, and maintain up to date knowledge in all areas of support, including but not limited to housing law, welfare rights, EEA national eligibility and entitlement, immigration law, substance misuse, mental health, local authority guidance and in homelessness provision.

To be considered for this role you will have significant experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex needs, as well as experience of leading a specialist service delivery team in either a supported housing, advice, homelessness or other relevant environment. You will also have case management experience and be able to deliver best practice with regards to needs assessments, high quality personalised support or advice services to vulnerable adults, including people with complex needs. You will have knowledge and understanding of the housing and support needs of single homeless people and be able to work in a fast paced, high-pressured environment.

About the Team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups. We have supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
 

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.

This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Community Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.

About the role
The role of the Peer Community Innovation Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.

In this context, your team is the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well. Your team will build and develop this ‘peer support community hub’. This will include annual in person celebrations.

Your team will make sure groups feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community. 

Managing a national team of three, you will develop a strategy and operational plan to build on and mobilise a new peer support community.

You’ll understand the power of relationships and be an excellent communicator. You’ll understand how communities hold their own power and your team will help unlock that. An excellent communicator, you’ll develop external specialist partnerships to support group sustainability. You’ll ensure through the National Peer Support Connector role that peer communities are connected and engaging with the new National Kinship Care Ambassador to share insight and best practice.

Changing Futures is a £64 million joint initiative by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and The National Lottery Community Fund. Its aim is for local organisations to work in partnership to improve support for people who are experiencing multiple disadvantage. Through Changing Futures in Greater Manchester, Shelter works in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, locality partnerships and other VCSE and community partners and we ensure lived experience is at the heart of design, delivery and systems change. About you

Some people management experience, with an emphasis on relational approaches to partnership working and problem-solving abilities, will be needed as well as a proven ability to develop relationships internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders. You will be comfortable giving presentations, writing reports and conveying information to a range of audiences and confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications. You will act as an ambassador, encouraging, promoting and supporting the involvement of people with lived experience in the design and delivery of Shelter’s and our Partners work.

Jane Scarth House, in the centre of Romsey, is a walk-in centre providing emotional and practical support with all services provided free of charge. Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)

Responsible to: Senior Support Worker

Responsible for: Young people living in the accommodation (4 young people aged 16 – 18 years old seeking asylum in the UK).

Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Hours: 25 hours per week on duty – this is a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts. Two days a week will be off duty.

Leave: Two nights a month can be taken as nights away from the home. This in addition to annual leave allowance. Annual leave - 33 days (converted into hours) pro-rata for number of hours worked

Salary Band: £24,150 - £27,760 per annum pro rata. Equivalent to £16,100 to £18,506 for 25 hours a week.

Overall Purpose

To provide advice, assistance and support to young people in the home, as a key member of the Support Team, delivering Baca’s service in line with our Vision and Values. The role includes a consistent adult presence in the home. To attend to their practical and emotional needs whilst supporting the development of living skills. To teach them how to manage and look after a home in order to keep it safe and hygienic. To build trusting relationships within the home to enable young people to feel safe and cared for. To act as an excellent role model and to work closely with them and their Support Worker to enable them to make good progress towards independence.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome newly arrived young people into the accommodation, helping them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
• Actively support young people to make progress and develop in the following outcomes; physical wellbeing and emotional wellbeing; personal safety; education and learning; employment and training that is safe and suitable; social engagement (being part of the community and activities outside of the home)
• Be an excellent and positive role model, offering advice, guidance and assistance and consistently modelling behaviours in line with Baca’s values.
• Using Baca’s progress plan, train all young people in living skills and looking after a home such as washing, personal safety, cleaning, cooking and food safety, food shopping and budgeting.
• Providing emotional support at times of difficulty, anxiety or stress.
• Encourage young people settle into and support them to maintain a healthy routine which will include regularly attending education and social activities.
• Act as a co-keyworker for the young people to ensure that their support plans and progress are up to date and that all their needs are being met.
• Enable young people to live with positive values and good boundaries by challenging any unhelpful or unsafe behaviours and encouraging safe and positive behaviours.
• In accordance with the guidelines on Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and report any concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the Rebuild Team to ensure all young people are safeguarded and supported to rebuild their lives.
• Take responsibility for keeping the home clean, by consistently role modelling to and training young people.
• Maintain very good communication with relevant members of the Rebuild Team and relevant social workers
• Ensure regular appropriate reporting requirements are consistently met, meeting regulations set out by Ofsted.
• Complete and update all admin work as part of the role such as month end reports and support plans on time and in a consistent manner.

Location: Home based with travel to renal units around Greater London

Role purpose
To engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients. This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place. The role will cover the main renal unit and satellite dialysis units across your designated area, and regular travel and attendance is expected across all sites.

You will be expected to deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region, raise awareness of the service and the charity and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in the region.

Responsibilities

• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location
• To support patients to build the skills and confidence needed to positively navigate the challenges presented by health, social care, benefits, and financial support pathways, and to overcome barriers and promote independence
• To support patients to connect with services to ensure that they are engaged in shared decision making and that their voice is central to shaping the care and support they receive
• To raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefits of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service amongst kidney patients, their families, carers, and professionals across the region
