You will need to have managed the annual process and delivered the statutory accounts of a charity of a reasonable size.

About you:
We are seeking someone who is comfortable and experienced working in a small company or charity, understanding that our capacity and resources are limited. A 'can do' attitude and a motivated approach are essential. While direct experience with homelessness may not be necessary, you should have a solid understanding of the common challenges faced by those who have been homeless. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to identify and promptly address risks or safeguarding concerns. Empathy, attentive listening, and strong verbal communication skills are also key requirements. Proficiency with IT and the ability to maintain up-to-date records in our database are necessary. The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) aims to create and develop the conditions that will enable people who have Down's syndrome to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

· Recruit four schools to take part in Young Marketeers

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Director and existing Research Analyst to conduct a research project examining the ways in which HMRC addresses offshore compliance, with a focus on its use of information and existing enforcement powers, identifying areas where compliance could be improved.
Develop and undertake the research project within specified timescales, from inception to delivery, in collaboration with the wider TaxWatch team, driving the project forward, providing updates on progress the Director and Trustees. This will involve:
· Identifying key stakeholders relevant to the project, developing and building relationships, conducting interviews, gaining insight from their knowledge and experiences and identifying areas for further investigation.
· Requesting and analysing information from HMRC.
· Analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings and making policy and procedural recommendations based on the findings.
· Producing high quality written work, including long form written reports based on the research undertaken.
· Liaising with other organisations, journalists, politicians and government bodies to publicise the findings of the report.
· A limited amount of administrative tasks that support the running of the project including documentation of research findings and tracking Freedom of Information requests on team systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:

Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)
Responsible to: Senior Support Worker

Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome newly arrived young people into the accommodation, helping them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
- Actively support young people to make progress and develop in the following outcomes; physical wellbeing and emotional wellbeing; personal safety; education and learning; employment and training that is safe and suitable; social engagement (being part of the community and activities outside of the home)
- Be an excellent and positive role model, offering advice, guidance and assistance and consistently modelling behaviours in line with Baca’s values.
- Using Baca’s progress plan, train all young people in living skills and looking after a home such as washing, personal safety, cleaning, cooking and food safety, food shopping and budgeting.
- Providing emotional support at times of difficulty, anxiety or stress.
- Encourage young people settle into and support them to maintain a healthy routine which will include regularly attending education and social activities.
- Act as a co-keyworker for the young people to ensure that their support plans and progress are up to date and that all their needs are being met.
- Enable young people to live with positive values and good boundaries by challenging any unhelpful or unsafe behaviours and encouraging safe and positive behaviours.
- In accordance with the guidelines on Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and report any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the Rebuild Team to ensure all young people are safeguarded and supported to rebuild their lives.
- Take responsibility for keeping the home clean, by consistently role modelling to and training young people.
- Maintain very good communication with relevant members of the Rebuild Team and relevant social workers
- Ensure regular appropriate reporting requirements are consistently met, meeting regulations set out by Ofsted.
- Complete and update all admin work as part of the role such as month end reports and support plans on time and in a consistent manner.
- Playing an active role in developing knowledge and understanding in areas relevant to the role and especially in the areas of asylum and refugee law, trafficking, supporting separated children and the cultures of different nations relevant to Baca.

We are looking for people to join us as part time peripatetic Project Workers, working over the weekends and bank holidays as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI). The service provides out of hours trauma informed support to 5 accommodation services across our mixed and Women’s pathway, aimed at strengthening the existing provision of support to clients with multiple needs and experiencing homelessness.
As an out of hours Project Worker, you will work across different accommodation services to provide weekend support to residents and deliver engaging activities which involve clients. Planning your time well, and taking instruction from managers, staff and on-call managers you will:
- Support lead workers, and work with clients to plan and deliver weekend activities for residents.
- Provide vital support and assistance to clients and be available to listen and deal with people’s individual needs as they arise, providing practical and emotional support to clients in a way that is approachable, engaging and flexible.
- Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions so that you can appropriately deal with emergency situations that arise during your shift.
- Carry out relevant building and welfare checks and carrying out relevant administrative tasks and incident reporting and handover notes.
- Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide person centred support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and helping to make plans to achieve them.
- Work on the weekly shift rota with typical shifts on a Saturday and Sunday from 10am -3pm, and some additional bank holidays.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Work with the Board in developing a strategy for the organisation.
- Lead and develop a welcoming environment which reflects an inclusive organisation that values diversity and embeds equal opportunity for all stakeholders.

- Maintain an organisational culture that fosters communication and collaborative working relationships across the organisation, with stakeholders and the wider community.
