Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.

Job purpose

• This role will support the delivery of Willow’s programme of Major Events, as well as supporting third party events, ensuring that these promote and present Willow in a professional and compelling manner, maximising opportunities for donor cultivation, fundraising and maximising income generation.

Key responsibilities

Core Events

• To support the events strategy through delivery of high-quality events, designed to attract current and new supporters.

Auction

• Lead on securing auction prizes for relevant events, developing relationships with key supporters and external businesses to secure exclusive and desirable auction items.

• Oversee online auction platform, ensuring accurate listings, engaging descriptions and looking for ways to maximise income.

Event Supporter Stewardship

• Provide support on guest management, ensuring a smooth process for guests during the lead up to and on the day of the event.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, guests and stakeholders ensuring excellent stewardship and recognition
• To identify opportunities to engage or recruit new event supporters to existing or new events in the Willow calendar.

General

• To support the Events Manager with financial management of each event, supporting on areas such as: budgeting, planning, controlling and monitoring expenditure as appropriate and managing income against targets, KPI’s and provide regular revised projections as required.
• To maintain good practice in the use of database system (Raiser’s Edge), including the events module, ensuring that information is recorded accurately to allow for excellent supporter care, stewardship and accurate analysis of event performance.

The Manna Day Centre is a drop-in Centre for homeless and vulnerably housed single men and women. It is run by a team of project workers, under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to service users 7 days a week, 8.30am– 1.30pm. The working week for this post is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm each day.

The Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker must have a commitment to homeless people, which includes acceptance and respect. Responsibilities are shared among the team according to needs, skills and aptitudes. The annual salary is negotiable (depending on your experience) ranging from £33,775 to £41,359. Role Purpose

The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. IPSEA has a proven track record of successfully securing grants, and this is a new role designed to help strengthen and grow IPSEA’s income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.

This role is an exciting new opportunity to shape and deliver on Motability Foundation’s aims to become more insights led and to systematically involve disabled people in our decision making. You will support the Head of Insight and Evaluation in providing the organisation with insight drawn from existing research, primary research, business data and through user insight. The role will lead development of a user insight approach and clear mechanisms to involve disabled people in the Foundation’s decisions systematically. The role will establish a user insight research community (akin to a customer panel but broader in scope), which the organisation can draw from for user insight.

The role is also responsible for delivering a strategic research and insight plan for the organisation to inform operational and strategic decisions, including feeding into our strategy mid-term review. Others in the organisations will also carry out research and hence this function has a role in setting standards for quality research, a coordinating role in ensuring a cross-organisational understanding of ongoing research to avoid duplication, and to draw insights and disseminate these to relevant internal and external audiences.

The Role

We are recruiting for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our Fundraising team. The role will be instrumental in the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and building fundraising partnerships across a range of community audiences, including youth and education, sports clubs, community groups and individuals doing their own activities. You will be responsible for growing our existing community products such as Turn Cricket Red as well as introducing new products and initiatives to generate growth in Community Fundraising. Part of a small team, you will develop key relationships within the RSF network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

Role Profile:

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, your role will focus on:

1. Managing and growing the Ruth Strauss Foundation Turn Cricket Red Campaign, working with schools, sports clubs and Universities
2. Creation of new RSF owned community fundraising events/activities/products
3. Managing RSF third party events-London Marathon, Westminster Mile, professional athlete testimonials, galas and dinners
4. Work closely with the Ruth Strauss Foundation School Programme Lead to maximise schools community fundraising

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the Foundations community fundraising strategy and community fundraising activities and campaigns
• Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events and community fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Ruth Strauss Foundation
• Ensure, with the wider Fundraising team, we meaningfully engage different communities with RSF
• Ensure relevant processes and policies are in place to deliver a successful, profitable community fundraising programme
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems, processes, and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants
• Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent supporter experience and generates a lifelong relationship with RSF

To achieve these objectives the post holder will be expected to:

• Plan, budget, attend and coordinate an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity
• Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events and products, make recommendations for improvement, and support decision-making regarding fit of new opportunities for the foundation
• Project Manage the delivery of the community fundraising programme at RSF, leading on activity working group meetings, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure campaigns, activities and events are managed efficiently
• Work closely with the schools lead and school manager to grow our schools fundraising programme – working collaboratively so the training programme objectives are also met
• Develop a long-term growth strategy for Turn Cricket Red – focused on maximising current opportunities as well as diversifying to increase our reach
• Deliver high value supporter stewardship to increase lifetime value and impact of their fundraising
• Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders and seniority, ensuring opportunities for growth are maximised
• Alongside the team, co-ordinate event/activity logistics including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, promotion, set up, and delivery
• Oversee relationship with key providers of event fundraising mechanisms such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text to donate services
• Work with colleagues to ensure all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and hosts, and that all stakeholders receive appropriate training/ briefing and post event debriefs
• Work with the Head of MarComms and Digital to produce engaging fundraising collateral and information for event and community supporters including pre and post event communications/marketing collateral, working with external production companies where required
• Ensure all events and activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other event processes/policies
• Oversee the use of the CRM system to ensure data is recorded in compliance to Data Protection and GDPR and maximises output for supporter journeys
• Use sector trends and audience analysis to direct strategy and ensure that RSF remains innovative and at the forefront of Community fundraising

What we are looking for:

• Experience of designing and delivering successful Community fundraising events and activities

About the Ruth Strauss Foundation

In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.

In her memory, Sir Andrew has launched The Ruth Strauss Foundation to:

Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives. 

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it. 

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need. 

We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.

About the role

We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Assistant to support the Head of Communications and Marketing at ASC. In this role, you will help to create, support, and deliver the charity’s external communications and marketing strategy, working closely with ASC teams, including the Executive and Senior Leadership teams. • Content Creation:
  • Drafting and editing engaging content for various channels (website, social media, email, print). 
  • Creating and updating website content.

  • Writing and broadcasting external emails.
  • Creating templates for ASC-wide use based on brand e.g. PPT templates.
