What you'll do:

Assist with the management of the Look Ahead Health & Safety risk register and annual action plan.
Assist with occasional health and safety and quality audits to gain experience of operations in the field.
Champion the Health & Safety and Safeguarding departments intranet page and document control
Champion the RIVO system, ensuring incidents are reported correctly and manage the follow up actions.
Identify internal themes, trends and good practice emerging from incidents, quality reports and health and safety alerts
Manage the mailboxes across the teams, including H&S, Safeguarding and Quality, responding to any email queries and register this information for further investigation.
Support the processes Look Ahead needs to meet its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
Assist the Senior Health & Safety Manager in co-ordinating the administration and development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
Analyse and collate the results of Quality visits across the organisation, monitoring the return of improvement plans and self audits.

Our Outreach Teaching Assistants and Teachers support students who aren’t currently able to attend school, for example because of mental or physical health needs or challenges in previous schools.

This is a mobile role which requires flexibility; you and a teacher will work from a designated space in the family home, or at a local library, and offer personalized education for each student. The role

We are seeking a Business Assurance Manager to join our organisation, working closely with the CEO and our Senior Management team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the organisation, including front of house, quality and governance.

Job Summary

CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers.  Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities.  Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.

The Family Team Lead will assist the Family Service Manager in overseeing the operational running and leadership and management of our Family Team at our centre in Eastcote.

The Family Team Lead will be responsible for the line management of some of our Family Support Workers, as well as the direct delivery of services, including being the lead facilitator on some of our parenting courses.  As such, we are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working individual. The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure everyone who seeks support from us has the best possible experience. If you’re passionate about supporting neurodivergent people and their families, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

There is no requirement for any experience of, or understanding of, autism / ADHD, as we will provide training on the conditions.  This role will best suit someone who is very organised, who is able to task switch easily between line management, project management, client facing support work, group facilitation, course content creation and strategic and operational planning activities, and who is able to interact with a high number of clients and staff each week in order to ensure the sufficient number of appointments are provided to meet our funder requirements.

The Legacy Manager will be responsible for the entire legacy function from marketing legacies to the existing database, stewarding pledgers and supporters through to the administration of the legacies themselves, working with the legacy administrator. Due to project expansion Aquarius Young People’s Substance Misuse Team are recruiting for several Complex Needs Practitioners - Substance Misuse across the county.

Aquarius has been providing structured and targeted interventions to young people engaging in, at risk of substance misuse or affected by parental substance misuse for many years.

You will work on an outreach basis, including visiting schools & colleges, the Children and Families service, the YOT as well as other local community agencies. The role will involve:

• supporting young people away from engaging in substance misuse
• providing young people with skills and coping strategies to manage their recovery journey
• delivering 1-1 and some group work interventions
• targeted outreach to engage 'hard-to-reach' young people
• delivery of service talks and substance misuse presentations to enhance external professional workforce development with our partner agencies.

Working hours will be Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week, most work will occur during the day, however as a young people’s service we may occasionally ask you to support out of hours sessional work.

Holding a relevant qualification in substance misuse/youth work/psychology/counselling/ mental health/social care or with relevant experience and willingness to work towards a Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care you will also:

Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across identified areas within Eastern ODN. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across Bedford and Luton (and the surrounding areas) and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

Our Outreach teachers support students who aren’t currently able to attend school, for example because of mental or physical health needs or challenges in previous schools.

This is a mobile role which requires flexibility; you and a Teaching Assistant will work from a designated space in the family home, or at a local library, and offer personalised education for each student. Our ideal candidate is inclusive and uses the child as the starting point to plan an engaging and suitable curriculum which helps each child to meet their EHCP outcomes and grow academically too.

We work hard to match the right student with the right teacher and Teaching Assistant; you may be an expert with students in a particular age group (our students range from 6 to 16), subject, or enjoy working with students who have particular needs such as SEMH, hearing impairments or Autism Spectrum Condition. Almost all of our students have EHCPs, though their needs are quite varied. Our students benefit from creative approaches to learning so you can have fun with how to you teach!

Because of their vulnerabilities and often disrupted learning experiences, our students need a caring approach and our work is underpinned by the principles of Attachment Theory. To flourish in this role you must care about children and believe that every child deserves the best opportunity to achieve their potential, whatever that looks like.

The ideal candidate will also be able to develop positive relationships with parents and carers. Experience working with students with SEND or in a Special School is advantageous but not essential.

We are seeking to recruit a Children and Families’ Pioneer to work in the valley’s town of Tredegar. As part of a team you will lead regular activities and events to impact the lives of children and families so that they can discover the deep love of God. This post is suitable for someone who has previously worked with children possibly as a teacher, TA or as a children’s worker within the church. You may have previously worked in the third sector or for the local authority with families?

Main Tasks:

• Pioneer new initiatives to develop children and families’ ministry and expand our outreach in the local area; including appropriate use of the liturgical calendar and community initiatives such as holiday clubs, and toddler groups.

Main Duties - Development

• To be the main point of contact in regards to all learning and development matters. To work collaboratively with senior managers and the HR team to continually review our current training offer (internal and external) to ensure it is aligned to our industry and fit for purpose
• To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and to ensure our targets for the training year are met. Work with the HR team to utilise training metrics and feedback from staff to report on trends or improvements.

 Person Specification

• Previous experience of leading and managing safer recruitment campaigns ideally in this industry
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow safer recruitment processes

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships both internally and externally
• Excellent IT skills in Microsoft applications relevant to role
• Previous experience of a training and development role with marketing skills including the usage of social media
