The newly created role of Philanthropy Coordinator at HorseWorld Trust is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Supporter Development to ensure the delivery of a proactive and sustainable major donor programme.

Our Philanthropy Coordinator will proactively track and manage a pipeline of next and existing High Net Worth Individuals and support HorseWorld's Major Donor Working Group comprising the Chair of Trustees, CEO and Heads of Departments.  You will be expected to provide insight and identify opportunities for connection plus manage and track the stewardship tools to guide donors through their giving journey, including cultivation plans, sourcing and presenting tailored information for donors.  Facilitating and attending meetings and events, both in person and online, you will be ensuring steps are being taken to nurture donor relationships.

Collaboration is key as you will work with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to support HorseWorld's fundraising efforts.

You will also initiative the relationship management of a new portfolio of mid value donors and prospects; ensuring the donors you work with are engaged with our cause, and that you are responding to their individual stewardship needs as you keep them updated with our work.

Overview of the role:

Working in a small team, you will play an active role in the delivery of their External Affairs programme of work, primarily delivering secretariat duties for the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) on Deep Geothermal, as well as contributing to wider external affairs outputs.

Your core responsibilities will be to develop and deliver APPG Secretariat duties. You will ensure members and political stakeholders are kept informed, and that administrative requirements are met. You will be responsible for organising APPG meetings in Parliament and driving forward the APPG’s programme of work, liaising with multiple stakeholders across the public sector, industry, and academia. You will also monitor the public affairs landscape and deliver ongoing External Affairs programmes.

There will be opportunities to organise and attend Parliamentary and member events and to support meetings with parliamentarians and officers. Your work will include drafting briefings, minutes, press releases, and wider correspondence for members of the team, working across media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, and crisis communications. You’ll undertake parliamentary monitoring to find and highlight debates and questions of relevance to members. You will also work closely with colleagues across other departments to ensure all external affairs messaging is aligned across the organisation.

Their head office is in Holborn, London – you will be expected to work in the office at least three days a week. Occasionally, you will travel to member offices, or other UK venues, to support events hosted there.

Key tasks:

- Ensure the APPG on Deep Geothermal is well managed and meets stakeholder expectations.
- Communicate regularly with external stakeholders.
- Produce internal written briefings ahead of meetings with Parliamentarians and industry stakeholders.
- Produce press releases and ensure they receive the widest coverage for them and their other work, by growing their network in trade and national press along with other media outlets.
- Take an active role in ensuring public affairs events are well run.
- Conduct regular media monitoring of Parliament and of the sectors they represent, identifying opportunities and risks for them and their members.
- Represent them and their members at Parliamentary and relevant industry events.
- Liaise with and manage the agencies/suppliers responsible for supporting the management of their public affairs programme.
- Working with the wider team, identify, develop, and deliver compelling thought leadership pieces (e.g., reports, whitepapers, blogs, opinion pieces).
- Keep external affairs content on their website up to date and relevant.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for external affairs and comms roles.
- Support the development of their commercial opportunities, in collaboration with the Membership, Marketing, and Events team.
- Take direction and support your line manager and participate in any other tasks the organisation may require you to do.

Person Specification:

This role would suit someone with some experience in politics and/or external affairs, who would like to develop their skills and expand their knowledge in the renewable energy and cleantech sector. They will be adaptable, proactive, creative thinkers, and will get the job done whilst developing constructive relationships with colleagues. Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate experience of working with or managing APPGs, select committees, or advisory boards, and of dealing with multiple external stakeholders.

Essential:

- Exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking and communicating with a range of internal and external contacts and organisations (e.g., the media, MPs offices, member companies, etc.).

As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement.

International Programmes Manager: Local First

The International Programme Manager is responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of an ambitious new multi-year programme, Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System.   Young people's services

  Delivering a resettlement service to young people with multiple needs. This will include:

• Working to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to the move-on. Taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases and ensuring the quality of support plans to create opportunities to promote independence.
• Managing a caseload of internally referred clients with additional needs as they transition out of homelessness, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.
• Carrying out thorough needs assessments and putting in place support plans with young people accessing the resettlement programme.

• Building and maintaining effective partnerships with accommodation providers and external stakeholders, in addition to cultivating and strengthening existing relationships.

• Providing advocacy and referring young people to a wide range of specialist external services including around advocacy, substance misuse, mental health, immigration, counselling, financial/debt advice, and legal services.

The Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) is looking for a qualified and highly experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager who can help us create an inclusive and inspirational workplace. We are looking for someone who is interested in developing and enhancing the career and workplace experience of the people who work for our organisation through their leadership of the HR Team and provision at the PMC. Reporting to the Centre’s Chief Operating Officer, the HR Manager plays a crucial role in our organisation of around forty members of staff. Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)

Responsible to: Senior Support Worker

Responsible for: Young people living in the accommodation (4 young people aged 16 – 18 years old seeking asylum in the UK).

Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Hours: 25 hours per week on duty – this is a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts. Two days a week will be off duty.

Leave: Two nights a month can be taken as nights away from the home. This in addition to annual leave allowance. Annual leave - 33 days (converted into hours) pro-rata for number of hours worked

Salary Band: £24,150 - £27,760 per annum pro rata. Equivalent to £16,100 to £18,506 for 25 hours a week.

Overall Purpose

To provide advice, assistance and support to young people in the home, as a key member of the Support Team, delivering Baca’s service in line with our Vision and Values. The role includes a consistent adult presence in the home. To attend to their practical and emotional needs whilst supporting the development of living skills. To teach them how to manage and look after a home in order to keep it safe and hygienic. To build trusting relationships within the home to enable young people to feel safe and cared for. To act as an excellent role model and to work closely with them and their Support Worker to enable them to make good progress towards independence.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome newly arrived young people into the accommodation, helping them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
• Actively support young people to make progress and develop in the following outcomes; physical wellbeing and emotional wellbeing; personal safety; education and learning; employment and training that is safe and suitable; social engagement (being part of the community and activities outside of the home)
• Be an excellent and positive role model, offering advice, guidance and assistance and consistently modelling behaviours in line with Baca’s values.
• Using Baca’s progress plan, train all young people in living skills and looking after a home such as washing, personal safety, cleaning, cooking and food safety, food shopping and budgeting.

This is a frontline role that will need the successful applicant to be working closely with young people in their houses and will need access to transport young people to different appointments, meetings and activities.
