About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Officer to undertake operational finance activities and tasks in our small, friendly and flexible charity. The ideal candidate will perform finance tasks to support the Head of Finance through to end of year audit. You will liaise with a wide range of people by email and phone in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities of our Finance Officer will include:

• Working closely with Head of Finance to ensure receipts are recorded correctly on Sage 50 and membership accounts are validated/activated on Sage CRM as required
• Sales ledger converting sales quotes through the CRM into invoices on sage 50 and issue the invoice via email. Issue reminders for new and existing membership subscriptions, training, consultancy etc and ensure these are emailed to members
• Assisting with the credit control function, chase outstanding payments for membership renewals and new customers by phone, email
• Posting letters attached with a copy invoice to members chasing the outstanding payments – on a monthly basis
• Entering supplier invoices/expense claims, collate supporting receipts, and get appropriate authorisations for payment per policy.
• Setting up bank transfer supplier payments for dual authorisation.
• Monitoring the Finance mailbox and personal mailbox daily and action all queries, change requests in 5 days turn around.
• Monitoring and action online finance queries and redirect queries to the correct departments.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience of providing support via an online helpdesk and over the telephone.
• Knowledge and experience of working with databases and CRM systems.

JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.

8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.

9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.

10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.

11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).

13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.

14. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

15. Comply with and actively promote all Twining policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

About the Role

We provide innovative and responsive housing, care and support services that promote choice and independence for people with a variety of needs including people with learning disabilities, autism, older people, young people and people with mental health support needs across North and East London.

Outward Housing Department provides housing management aimed at sustaining vulnerable people in their tenancies and assisting people to move on from short term services. We work with a number of registered housing providers and in conjunction with our Group partner Newlon Housing Trust to provide housing management to their supported housing homes.

As a Tenancy Management Officer you will be expected to ensure that a comprehensive, sensitive and efficient housing management service is delivered to our tenants. You will have the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external partners, experience of providing a supported housing service to vulnerable tenants and a commitment to sustaining tenancies wherever possible.

You will also be able to effectively manage tenancy breaches including Anti-Social Behaviour, assess the suitability of new referrals, carry out property inspections and manage the voids process, monitor rent accounts and work with Income Management Team to ensure that rent arrears are kept to a minimum.  The successful candidates will also have excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service. 

This role is available as a full time post of 38 hours per week.

What’s your mission?

Ada is seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining partnerships with employers to support the growth and success of our apprenticeship programmes.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Driving New Business Growth:

• Identify and nurture growth opportunities for new employer partnerships through thorough desk research and strategic outreach efforts, ultimately increasing the team’s conversion rate through targeted appointment generation.

Promotional Activities:

• Represent Ada at internal and external networking events, leveraging opportunities to expand our influence and strengthen our partnerships.

• Respond to incoming enquiries from potential employers and contribute to proposal writing.
• Craft compelling case studies that highlight the impactful outcomes for our employer partners and apprentices, in addition to responding to enquiries from potential employers.

Partner Development:

• Strengthen employer engagement through proactive measures such as Ada’s annual employer survey, hosting feedback sessions, and actively collaborating on programme enhancements etc.
• Drive customer (employer partner) success through rigorous reporting of cohort progress and swiftly resolving any issues in collaboration with Ada skills coaches, academic and operational teams.

Part of our role is building the trusting relationships required to put the necessary support in place. Understandably, therefore, these services operate in challenging environments and require resilient and compassionate staff.

Young Peoples' Services: These services are dedicated to providing support to young people, specifically in relation to leaving care, offending behaviour, gang affiliation, complex mental health and anti-social behaviour. We work within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. Working in these services would mean overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. The postholder will hold a caseload of complex cases and will be responsible for supporting the team to manage complex cases. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non-statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.

Floating Support Services: Focussed on fostering independence and empowering your clients, we work to support individuals to sustain their tenancy, enhance their wellbeing, build resilience, and achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether assisting with housing issues, addressing mental health concerns, or supporting the development of daily living skills, the primary goal is to enable clients to navigate challenges and lead fulfilling lives. All work undertaken will be in line with planned support, making sure that clients are actively involved and that the support offered is full and holistic. You would be part of a supportive and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and individual growth.

ROLE OVERVIEW

With Alan and Babbette and the Indigo Trust, you will support and work with the Lead Trust Executive to manage end-to-end grant-making, research new funding streams on thematic areas of interest to the Trusts, and draft reports on wider context for new funding areas. You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, deputising for the Lead executive at grantee events and network meetings, and working with grantees to support their successes and their challenges.

With the Woodward Trust, you will be responsible for end-to-end grant-making, writing narrative text on grants awarded for Trustees meetings and annual reports, sifting and preparing grant applications for shortlisting by Trustees, and carrying out thorough due diligence on all applications. You will have day-to-day responsibility for the effective grants administration, including recording information for a robust and efficient audit trail, and preparation of grant award letters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

As someone who is passionate about social justice, you will be either an experienced Grant-maker or have experience within a professional field relevant to the focus of the trusts.

You will be equally comfortable carrying out research and building relationships with high profile individuals, as well as with grassroots groups. The role requires a breadth of analytical and administrative skills.
