This is an exciting new role joining Hope at Home’s Senior Leadership Team with the scope to make a real difference in people’s lives and shape the direction of the charity. You'll work closely with the Operations Director, CEO and a range of stakeholders to manage the development and day-to-day running of Hope at Home’s housing service. You will be joining the charity in an exciting period as we are embarking on setting Hope at Home’s new three-year strategy in a collaborative process that your role will directly feed into and will be guided by input from our service users.

Hours: 35 per week.

Reporting To: Operations Director but as this is a pilot project, you'll be expected to work closely with CEO and Operations Director.

Location: Home working with regular travel along M1 corridor between Sheffield and Derby, you'll need to live within 1 hours travel of these key locations.

The Role: 

Planning the project set up

Over the first 6 months of the role and in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Director, you will plan and begin execution of the housing pilot.  This will include the development of a fully costed project plan.

Part of the project set up will include working with a wide range of stakeholders:  Local Authorities, Landlords or housing providers, Registered Providers, Funders and relevant regulatory bodies. 

You will be responsible for securing the use of suitable properties, working with contractors to ensure maintenance and establishing all relevant policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice are followed as well as developing standard operating procedures for service delivery.

With excellent communication skills and working knowledge, you will establish relationships with relevant Housing Benefit departments to ensure income is secured on behalf of our residents and work on gaining Supported Exempt Accommodation Status.

 

Planning for service delivery

Your role will involve the development and oversight of case management support to all residents, including recruiting and line managing support workers.

Taking into account the wishes and needs of the residents, you will develop a high-quality service which meets regulatory standards and compliance with Regulator of Social Housing Standards.

As a pilot, you will work in conjunction with the Operations Director to monitor outcomes and evaluate the service to ensure we are meeting agreed expectations.

Fundraising Operations Officer

We seek an inspiring individual with a deep understanding of fundraising to provide expertise within the Operations area of our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering home working and flexible hours.

The Role

Purpose of the job

You will be part of a small team of specialists who lead, advise and support the business and help deliver our strategy. With around 160 staff members the HR Team play a hugely important role in all aspects from recruitment to learning, wellbeing to pensions. • Submit and check our payroll which is managed by Moorepay. This includes handling payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records, and addressing any discrepancies.
• With the support of our external pension’s advisors, ensure our pension scheme is correctly governed, correct communications are sent to staff and that payments are uploaded to our Pension Scheme.
• Ensure our HR platform (Natural HR) is the single version of truth on employee details, maintained with the latest employee information and that workflows operate correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure our learning management system (Learning Hangar) is operating correctly, new courses are added or updated, and staff maintain recency with their compliance courses.
• Lead/oversee the recruitment and induction of new staff.
• An annual renewal of our benefit insurances supported by our brokers Mercer.
• Deal with internal employee relations matters, if they arise. e.g. OH referral, exit interviews, capability reviews.

What the job involves

We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.

Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.

Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. About the role

The Health Development Team works across the UK, delivering education and training courses, attending health and care conferences, supporting service improvement projects and developing resources to help provide health and care professionals with the skills, knowledge and information they need to improve outcomes for people with arthritis.  

As the MSK SKILLs Development Officer you will Support the Health Development team in developing and delivering a flexible, responsive and evidence-based education programme for health and care professionals. Through effective marketing and relationship building, promote the Advanced MSK SKILLs programme for health and care professionals and support the development of a health and care professional customer journey.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Experience of developing and delivering communication plans to promote and effectively market a range of education and training products, with the ability to demonstrate impact.  
• Excellent communication skills with a range of key stakeholders in order to develop relationships. 
• Ability to promote a programme of activity through a range of different communication methods, e.g. social media, mailing platforms, including defining audiences, messaging, targets and timescales, delivered against the plan and budget and evaluating success.

The Vacancy

The Programme Officer will work within the Conflict Advisory Unit (CAU). The CAU provides high-quality advisory and technical support to a range of aid actors across the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors, including donor institutions, UN agencies, international and national NGOs, civil society organisations, financial institutions and the private sector to integrate conflict sensitivity principles and practices into their strategies, policies, and programmes. The CAU runs remote conflict sensitivity/ peace and security helpdesks for donors, implements in-country conflict sensitivity facilities (currently in Afghanistan, South Sudan and Sudan), and undertakes bespoke conflict sensitivity work.  

In additional to the CAU, the Programme Officer will work with country programme teams and other teams across Saferworld to support the uptake of more conflict-sensitive ways of working across diverse conflict-affected contexts and help to promote learning and good practice on adopting conflict-sensitive approaches. • Design Research: Conduct research on local cultural contexts, using resources like the Sightsavers image and design libraries, and validate findings with local teams.
• Desk Reviews: Review existing interventions and resources, gathering performance data and liaising with programme teams and colleagues.
• User Testing: Organise user testing sessions, plan and schedule activities, and create summary reports of feedback.
• Media Research: Research local media penetration to understand the landscape for effective communication with target audiences.
