• Developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies for on-air and digital broadcasts.  
• Collaborating with production teams to create compelling on-air content.  
• Managing and cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors.  
• Analysing fundraising performance data and optimising results.  
• Overseeing the development of on-air fundraising scripts and materials.  
• Ensuring all fundraising is in line with our charitable aims, fundraising approach and missional pillars (Souls, Israel, Revival).

The Role

The organisation is responsible for delivery of MNVPs for both Birmingham and Solihull ICB. As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Fundraising Lead to drive the organisation’s fundraising to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled’s growth and development. 

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns.

MAIN TASKS

Fundraising

• Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships. 
• Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations
• Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled’s work and impact
• Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters
• Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships
• Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.
• Lead on Frazzled’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer
• Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders and trustees, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support
• Ensure that Frazzled’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Fundraising Officer to join our team. You will support the wider team by identifying funding prospects, supporting bid-writing, and processing bid applications. You will ensure funder and donor relationships are built and maintained as well as actively researching and building new fundraising prospects. Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising:

• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and grant applications 

• Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns 

• Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, providing reports and recommendations 

• Assist with online fundraising campaigns, including online donation platforms 

• Research and implement new ways of building individual giving 

• Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor information. 

• Assist with the preparation of fundraising materials. 

• Stay up to date with fundraising best practices and trends 

• Any other duties as assigned by the Development Director 

• Support the wider team to build fund-raising skills 

Bid-writing: 

• Keep the team up to date on upcoming funding opportunities 

• Support teams to write bids. Provide management and frameworks to ensure deadlines are met and a high standard of writing is achieved 

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure bids are budgeted correctly 

• Complete application processes for bids 

• Ensure compliance paperwork is completed and recorded. 

Donor Management:

• Assist with donor communication and stewardship, ensuring timely and personalised acknowledgments and processing 

• Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. 

• Assist with research and prospect identification. 

• Respond to donor enquiries in a professional and timely manner. 

About you 

Essential Qualifications and Skills: 

Essential:

• A track-record of successful grant applications. 

• Experience in a fundraising or administrative role within the charity sector. 

• Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices. 

• Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and translate it into plain English 

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.

You will also observe and give feedback to volunteer tutors delivering maths tuition, and deliver general training for new volunteers, so that they are confident and effective in taking part in our tutoring programmes.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:

Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum: 

• Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
• Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
• Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.
• Support Action Tutoring’s Programme Department to provide and respond to requests for additional materials for tutoring sessions, particularly maths sessions.
• Support with creation of additional maths resources on an ad hoc basis as required, applying Action Tutoring’s pedagogical approach and standards for diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Format any newly generated maths curriculum content for printing.
• Reformat maths curriculum resources for online delivery of tutoring sessions.
• Engage in learning and development opportunities in order to keep knowledge about the expectations set out in the maths national curriculum (KS2 and KS4) and the main exam boards up to date.

Quality assuring tutoring delivery:

• Observe several virtual tutoring sessions a week. Make detailed and unbiased notes on tutor skills, craft empathetic constructive feedback in emails.
• Support our programme delivery team to craft communications and feedback to tutors.
• Produce ‘quality tips’ and resources for tutors and staff.
• Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.

Delivering volunteer tutor training:

• Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.
• Support the Training Manager by contributing updates to tutor training content.
• Create content for tutor CPD materials to support with maths tutoring.

Person specification

Qualifications criteria: 

• Qualified secondary school teacher of Mathematics
• At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils

The Head of Region provides strategic and operational leadership in the region, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the regional team and the successful development and delivery of the regional business plan and projects. The role drives the achievement of key performance indicators and targets with a particular focus on church income and community engagement. 

Key relationships

Internally, the Head of Region works closely with the Director of Operations and other Heads of Region to support consistent operational delivery, and management and development of regional staff. The role also interacts closely with all other CCT teams including Conservation, Fundraising & Communication, Initiatives & Partnerships, and Finance.

Externally, the Head of Region is CCT’s regional representative, brokering joint working and engagement with statutory and Church of England stakeholders, funders, politicians at all levels, volunteers, communities and donors.
