Trusts and Grants Fundraiser 

Hope and Vision Communities is a young, small charity providing supported, move-on accommodation for people who have successfully completed residential rehabilitation.

We are looking for a Trust and Grants Fundraiser to help us grow our existing income and build a strong portfolio of funders for Hope and Vision Communities. 

This could be done from our small office in Wargrave, at home, or a hybrid mix of both.

Job Description: 

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join our team and lead efforts in securing funding from trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies. As a vital member of our fundraising team, you will play a key role in sustaining and expanding our impactful community programs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Research and Identification: 

• Conduct research to identify potential trust and grant funding opportunities. 

• Maintain an up-to-date database of relevant trusts and foundations.

Proposal Development: 

• Prepare compelling and persuasive funding proposals and grant applications. 

• Customise proposals to align with the priorities and requirements of different funders. 

Relationship Building: 

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders. 

• Communicate effectively with donors to provide updates on projects and impact. 

Grant Management: 

• Oversee the administration and reporting requirements for awarded grants. 

• Work closely with the CEO and finance to ensure compliance with grant terms. 

Networking and Representation: 

• Represent the organisation at relevant networking events and conferences. 

• Build a network of contacts within the funding community. 

Budgeting and Financial Acumen: 

• Contribute to budget development for grant applications and proposals. 

• Monitor and report on financial performance related to grants.

• Proven experience in trusts and grants fundraising within the charity sector.

About the role

The role of Team Leader is essential to the day-to-day management of the Hub and, in particular, to support and oversee the new Housing First Service for South Tyneside. Ensuring we deliver a high quality service, we will rely on you to lead and supervise the staff and volunteer team to deliver support to up to 14 people at a time in line with the Homeless Link Housing First Principles. Supporting the Hub’s strategic lead and management team to deliver our strategy locally will be important too, using local data, activism and representations to decision makers to bring about positive change for the people of the North East. About you 

You will need experience of working with people experiencing exclusion and multiple disadvantage and in a multi-disciplinary context with partners, community groups and other agencies. You have demonstrable experience of staff and service management, casework support, risk management, supervision and safeguarding, as well as delivering and managing support projects and/or contracts. If you have experience of Housing First and mobilising contracts this would be an advantage but is not essential.

About the team

Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. We are made up of an advice team, legal team as well as support services which include Housing First and DIY skills service, as well as an administration team. National staff based in the hub include a Community Fundraiser and Community Organiser, Lived Experience Officer and Business Development Manager.

We aim to bring about systemic change through our work with clients, training for our partners and volunteers and using evidence to bring about housing procedural and policy changes for people in the North East.

Summary

The Human Resources department provides a strategic and operational HR service to the seven National Church Institutions (NCIs) and the 42 Diocesan Bishops' offices. Our HR Operations team focusses on the entire employee lifecycle providing support, advice and guidance to senior leaders, line managers and staff. The Organisational Development team lead on culture, values, wellbeing, development and our belonging & inclusion strategy. Through our External Service team, we also offer HR support on a consultancy basis to other Church of England organisations including our dioceses and cathedrals.

• Reviewing risk assessments that have been completed by staff and line managers, requesting additional information, and advising on risk mitigation;

Person specification:

You would  research potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships, including trusts, foundations, corporate groups, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable.. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences, as well as creating programme budgets using spreadsheets are crucial aspects to this role.. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts, campaigns, and the charity’s administrative needs. A basic lf knowledge of video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The UK branch of Pragya is a small team; the ideal candidate would be a self-starter, capable of managing their own work load. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Fundraising Team at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will join our recently established Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team to help us develop and nurture a range of corporate and philanthropic relationships. Together, we will significantly increase our income in support of the world leading research, treatment, and care that takes place across our hospitals in areas such as: childhood cancer, rare diseases, neonatal and maternal health, children and young people’s mental health, and critical care. 

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will be responsible for account managing a portfolio of new and existing corporate accounts to deliver a sustainable income growth year on year. In addition, they will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the day-to-day management of high value strategic partnerships and the delivery of business development activities. They will also contribute to the wider strategic aims of the P&P team to significantly grow both philanthropic and corporate partnership income and impact over the next three years. 

The ideal candidate will have strong corporate account management and communication skills (both verbally and in writing) ideally gained within a fundraising or sales/business development environment. They will be a self-starter with an appetite to make unsolicited approaches to businesses and individuals, along with the ability to develop and grow lasting relationships with corporate partners.  They will have strong time management skills, a motivation to work towards and achieve targets, and an appreciation of working for the NHS.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Health Advocate Educator supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. 

The Health Advocate Educator will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female, male and non-binary survivors of domestic violence and abuse, aged 16 years and over and their children.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local ICB and the service manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area.The post-holder will work within a defined locality, either Stratford-upon-Avon District; North Warwickshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth, or Warwick District and Rugby borough; building links with health professionals and support agencies.  

Travel around Warwickshire for client appointments essential to role, therefore use of a car essential.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The Role

The Supporter Experience Officer is responsible for giving supporters a fulfilling and enjoyable relationship with the charity. They deepen supporter relationships and strengthen sources of income by working strategically across the whole supporter journey.

Main responsibilities include:

• Oversee programmes of regular giving and incorporate positive ‘wow’ moments into the supporter journey 

• Ensure a dynamic two-way engagement with supporters

• Manage and deliver a quality supporter thanking process, including reviewing and maintaining thank you letter copy and processes, in liaison with the Supporter Services department

• Create and develop effective welcome strategies for new supporters across different channels

• Implement effective processes to ensure supporters are developing in their giving relationship

• Manage and develop effective strategies for reducing the number of lapsing donors

• Report on supporter attrition and satisfaction overall

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of supporters and their demographics

• Seek to develop ways to improve the supporter experience

About You

You will have a demonstrable understanding of what drives and motivates Christian supporters, as well as a deep understanding of retention fundraising principles. Delighting supporters with positive ‘wow’ moments will be a core part of your remit. Well-organised and self-motivated, you will be a strategic thinker and have proven experience in analysing and reporting on campaigns.

This Contract opportunity will see you working as part of a Shared Service team, managing numerous ER projects at any one time. This will involve coordinating administrative tasks, supporting the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, and managing stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and collaboration across departments.

The team is a well-established group of Advisors, and this Contract role is newly created to be responsible for managing and driving project based initiatives and ensuring the successful planning and delivery of key projects.

They will also support the development of our own commissioned and internal service delivery.

They will also work closely with the fundraising team, identifying opportunities to draw down specific funding for proposed projects. This is an opportunity to help us reach more people, ensure that the support we are offering is right for our community, and make sure that our supporters’ money is spent in the very best ways.
