The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grants fundraiser to join CSW to use their skills to help people who are harassed and persecuted for their beliefs. You will play a key role in generating sustainable income for our work through securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions.

Overview of the Head of Campaigns role and the team

Barnabas Aid is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual for the role of Head of Campaigns, a critical position within our International Outreach Department. The post-holder will lead the development and delivery of impactful campaigns, aimed at raising awareness, prayer, and vital donations for the charity’s work with persecuted Christians worldwide. The Head of Campaigns will be responsible for key initiatives such as the Barnabas Brekkie/Breakfast campaign, as well as major supporter events like Encourage. In addition, they will focus on key fundraising activities, ensuring high levels of supporter acquisition, engagement, and retention.

This is a new and exciting role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape the future of Barnabas Aid's fundraising and supporter relations strategy. Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. The Human Resources department provides a strategic and operational HR service to the seven National Church Institutions (NCIs) and the 42 Diocesan Bishops' offices. Our HR Operations team focusses on the entire employee lifecycle providing support, advice and guidance to senior leaders, line managers and staff. CoramIAC - Intercountry Adoption Centre - now part of the Coram Group of children's charities have been working with families adopting from across the world for over 26 years. CoramIAC is a charity, not-for-profit and an accredited, legally registered adoption agency. We run outstanding services to support children and families affected by adoption. With the majority of our adopters being from the global majority, adopting from countries where they have connections. We have a diverse staff team. We have had four consecutive outstanding judgements from Ofsted.

About the role

We are currently advertising for two positions, one within our Assessment team, and one within our Post-Approval team.

1. Assessment Senior Practitioner - To provide Coram IAC’s Intercountry assessment and support services in accordance with adoption guidance and regulations. To help coordinate intercountry adoption assessments, quality assuring and overseeing the work of sessional social workers.

1. Post-Approval Senior Practitioner - To provide Coram IAC’s Post Approval Services and Country Programmes in accordance with adoption guidance and regulations. Supporting and advising families through the post approval/post placement period and ensuring smooth progress through liaison with the Adoption Manager and Post Approval Administration Team.

Job Title: Health Advocate Educator

Location: Warwickshire

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Health Advocate Educator supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. 

The Health Advocate Educator will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female, male and non-binary survivors of domestic violence and abuse, aged 16 years and over and their children.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local ICB and the service manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area.The post-holder will work within a defined locality, either Stratford-upon-Avon District; North Warwickshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth, or Warwick District and Rugby borough; building links with health professionals and support agencies.  

Travel around Warwickshire for client appointments essential to role, therefore use of a car essential.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Our grants programme is growing, and we are proud to have invested almost £1million into local cancer services in 2024 alone. Along with our major capital appeals we are supporting an increasing range of wellbeing projects for people living with cancer, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised person with great communication skills to help us develop our grant-making further.

Our Grants and Projects Coordinator will work with applicants from the start of their relationship with us, identifying potential partners, supporting grant applications, and ensuring successful applications lead to successful project launches. They will ensure high quality monitoring and evaluation is in place, with a great eye for detail and strong report writing skills. They will also support the development of our own commissioned and internal service delivery.

They will also work closely with the fundraising team, identifying opportunities to draw down specific funding for proposed projects. This is an opportunity to help us reach more people, ensure that the support we are offering is right for our community, and make sure that our supporters’ money is spent in the very best ways.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Fundraising Team at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will join our recently established Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team to help us develop and nurture a range of corporate and philanthropic relationships. Together, we will significantly increase our income in support of the world leading research, treatment, and care that takes place across our hospitals in areas such as: childhood cancer, rare diseases, neonatal and maternal health, children and young people’s mental health, and critical care. 

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will be responsible for account managing a portfolio of new and existing corporate accounts to deliver a sustainable income growth year on year. In addition, they will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the day-to-day management of high value strategic partnerships and the delivery of business development activities. They will also contribute to the wider strategic aims of the P&P team to significantly grow both philanthropic and corporate partnership income and impact over the next three years. 

The ideal candidate will have strong corporate account management and communication skills (both verbally and in writing) ideally gained within a fundraising or sales/business development environment. They will be a self-starter with an appetite to make unsolicited approaches to businesses and individuals, along with the ability to develop and grow lasting relationships with corporate partners.  They will have strong time management skills, a motivation to work towards and achieve targets, and an appreciation of working for the NHS.
