Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services (CDARS) is a charity organisation that provides psychological and social support to drug users and their family members.
As part of this work, it has built a track record of working with service user representatives, service user Councils and networks and service user involvement teams. This includes creating a strong Volunteer, Peer Mentor and Recovery Champion network and supporting them through training, supervision and access to additional personal and professional development areas.
The WCDAS and RCDAS Treatment services, led by South London and Maudsley (SLAM), are a community substance misuse ‘partnership’ service that offers a broad and inclusive range of support and treatment options for those seeking recovery from Substance use. This includes access to medical, psychological, and sustained recovery sessions within the Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond.
The Community Involvement Worker (CIW) will assist in delivering positive and improved outcomes for service users across both Boroughs and will work closely with the Community Involvement Co-Ordinator (CIC) to manage recruit, train and nurture peer mentors and service user representatives. This support will aim to build capacity and visible recovery across the boroughs. Both post-holders will help develop, train and nurture meaningful service user involvement through the Service User Council network and its representatives throughout the treatment system.
The post holder will need to work under the directives of the CDARS Wandsworth Management Team, with the objective of facilitating engagement in all aspects of service user involvement. The post holder will be expected to foster and develop good working relationships with staff at all levels within the partnership and establish good working relationships with other agencies, both voluntary and state, within the two Boroughs.

The Parkinson’s UK Tech Guide connects people with Parkinson’s to devices and apps that could improve their quality of life, with the information and tools for people to choose the right solutions for them.
As part of a small team and reporting to the Catalogue and Community Lead, you will support them in creating clear and comprehensive product reviews. You will also moderate contributions from our community of users and help create and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the charity. This means working with people inside Parkinson’s UK and from our community, as well as with the companies who make and sell the tech in our catalogue.

- Help the Catalogue and Community Lead to manage the catalogue of devices and apps, including compiling and editing listing pages.
- Help manage relationships with end users of the Tech Guide – people with Parkinson’s, their family and carers, and healthcare professionals – ensuring all stakeholders have the best possible experience.
- Provide user support, manage user-generated content, and enforce our code of conduct.
- Gain a deep understanding of the Parkinson’s community and of the organisations who supply and use tech to help them.
- Contribute your ideas and feedback to the development and growth of the Tech Guide itself.

Your day-to-day work will involve conducting needs and risk assessments, creating support plans, and facilitating group work and structured interventions as part of our in-house recovery programme. You’ll work closely with external agencies to ensure that clients receive the holistic support they need, with a focus on both harm minimisation and recovery.

About the roles in our multiple disadvantage service in Westminster:
King George’s is a 68 bed hostel for men with complex needs and a history of rough sleeping. It is part of Westminster City Council’s Rough Sleepers Pathway. Many of our clients are deemed high risk/high support due to chronic mental health and physical health issues, high levels of substance misuse, and offending histories. We accept that our clients have experienced complex trauma, usually from a very early age and often throughout their lives including currently. For this reason, we work to imbed the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach in a service.
Reporting to the Manager, your role will require you to develop, support and motivate the people who we support and accommodate.We run a service that is creative, responsive and that provides a foundation which empowers people to achieve their aspirations and make positive and sustainable life changes. The Role
This project has been funded by the Mental Health Investment Fund for one year and will build on the programme that was originally funded by Green Social Prescribing funding. A number of nature-based activities have been planned for the programme, both on-line and face-to-face. There will be some partnership working with St Mark’s Church at Great Tattenham’ s, Surrey, who partnered in the application.
You will be required to work alongside the full-time area Co-ordinators and the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure that activities are supported and promoted in each area of Surrey Downs. Local venues for activities may need to be sourced so that clients do not have to travel far to take part.
The role will include arranging activities, booking venues, completing risk assessments, promoting the service and activities, and managing registers and attendances. You will also need to work within a budget when accessing resources and staffing.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that activities are adequately staffed and will work with the Activities Co-ordinator to find appropriate staff when necessary, ensuring all facilitator requirements are met.
It may be necessary to facilitate some activities to ensure groups can run.
About You
You will have experience of working directly with vulnerable adults (preferably with mental ill-health), working within the health & social care sector and of working in outdoor activities.

The Energy Neighbours Information and Data Manager is responsible for setting up and managing the systems that enable all staff and organisations involved in the project to gather and use information and data. The Energy Neighbours Information and Data Manager will work closely with and report to the Energy Neighbours Project Manager.
Prospectus is delighted to support a UK charity supporting people in hospitals and care in their search for a Finance Assistant (PT). This is a part-time post (12-15 hours), on a 6-month contract and remote working basis.
Reporting to the Interim Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant (PT) will take on core finance tasks and processes, as well as participate in the development of new procedures where appropriate. The postholder will collaborate with the Finance Assistant on purchase ledger processes, including invoice approval by budget holders, posting to Sage and BACS payments, and with the Fundraising & Comms Assistant on posting and reconciliation of d onations and subscription income. The Finance Assistant (PT) will also deal with staff expenses, credit card administration and provide support with month-end.
To be successful, you will have knowledge and experience of financial and accounting principles, preferably from a small/medium sized organisation. You will be comfortable with computerised accounting systems, such as Sage 50 accounts, Xero, QuickBooks or similar. You will be confident with Excel and able to extract transactional information from database systems. You will be enthusiastic and proactive, open to new ways of working and offer flexibility in an evolving environment. Charity knowledge or experience would be preferable, but not a necessity. Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a small team of specialists who lead, advise and support the business and help deliver our strategy. With around 160 staff members the HR Team play a hugely important role in all aspects from recruitment to learning, wellbeing to pensions. It is a small team, and we need someone with experience to deal with the multiple facets of HR and someone who is a “doer”. This role will require an experienced HR generalist with some knowledge of Payroll or a Payroll specialist with previous experience in HR. In both cases you would need a willingness to learn the other aspects.
Key tasks include
• Submit and check our payroll which is managed by Moorepay. This includes handling payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records, and addressing any discrepancies.
• With the support of our external pension’s advisors, ensure our pension scheme is correctly governed, correct communications are sent to staff and that payments are uploaded to our Pension Scheme.
• Ensure our HR platform (Natural HR) is the single version of truth on employee details, maintained with the latest employee information and that workflows operate correctly and in a timely manner.

Assert is a small team of advocates working as a project within Mental Health Resource charity and as part of the Kent Advocacy partnership. We provide high quality, issue-based advocacy and statutory IMHA services to individuals affected by mental health problems, often detained in medium and low secure units and in acute inpatient settings. JOB SUMMARY
To provide statutory issue-based advocacy to people detained in acute psychiatric hospitals and forensic hospitals/rehab units across West Kent and community advocacy to people with mental health difficulties in the community in West Kent, ensuring that their views, wishes and needs are taken into account and expressed and heard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide independent mental health advocacy to eligible patients in accordance with the provisions Mental Health Act 2007 as amended and as detailed in the Code of Practice to the Act
2. To provide independent, issue-based advocacy in the community as appropriate.
3. Ascertain the needs and wishes of clients and act only under instruction of clients.
4. To telephone and meet with clients on the ward or another convenient location to help them prepare for meetings and to attend appointments with them to speak on their behalf if required, take notes and ensure that they understand the proceedings.
5. To help clients understand what is being considered around their care, treatment and support and the impact of any decisions made.
6. For independent mental health advocacy, to explain to people what their options and rights are and to support them to communicate their wishes so that they can participate as fully as possible in the decisions affecting their care.
7. To liaise with, and on occasion to challenge, NHS, care professionals or local authorities as appropriate to ensure that due processes have been followed.
8. To raise any safeguarding issues in line with Mental Health Resource’s policy and procedures.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre.
