Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role at Independent Age is a brilliant opportunity to work on our grant funding programmes, involving support of grant management, applications, assessments, and funding administration. The postholder will foster positive connections with funded organisations, service partners and individual grant holders, contribute to the review and analysis of grant and partnership reporting and evaluations, and help communicate the impact of grants working with multiple stakeholders. You will support with creating value-adding opportunities for grantees, from organising engaging training to hosting networking events.
A strong understanding of grant making and experience in supporting partnerships, a project, or programme of work, your collaborative approach, outstanding interpersonal skills, and commitment to customer service will be important for this role. You should also have excellent administrative and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and be experienced in data management.

We want you to help us build great relationships with our supporters and to help them achieve their fundraising ambitions, allowing us to grow our sustainable, annual income. Principal Responsibilities and accountabilities:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to lead the 24-7 Academy.
The 24-7 Academy is a life-changing, residential leadership development programme for young adults aged 18-30, based at Waverley Abbey.
An exciting new venture in partnership with Waverley Abbey Trust, 24-7 Prayer and Emmaus Rd Church to disciple and equip a new generation of Christian leaders, to help deepen their character and provide an immersive experience in Lectio 365 prayer rhythms to guide them in living a Jesus-centred life.
This role is pivotal to both the development and delivery of the programme, taking responsibility for creating a safe and supportive environment where participants can be discipled and equipped to live a Jesus-centred life.
Overseeing the recruitment and delivery of two cohorts per year: a summer/autumn cohort starting in late August and a winter/spring cohort starting in February.
You will be working with the Waverley Abbey monastic community living onsite as well as the 24-7 Academy Steering Group, to bring the shared vision to life and manage the day-to-day service and delivery of the programme.
Outside of managing the day-to-day of the active programme periods, you will focus on recruitment, training volunteers, and preparing for the next cohort.

EPIKS (Environment Kirklees Ltd) is a pioneering not for profit company run by volunteer directors, that employs a small team of staff and volunteers working locally on climate related issues - access to greenspace and rivers, habitat improvement, active travel.
We are recruiting a part time finance manager with proven book-keeping skills and financial management experience to help us deliver environmental projects on biodiversity, green space management and active travel throughout Kirklees.
The job involves preparing monthly management accounts; working with our auditors on annual accounts; handling payments for at least 6 employees (part-time) on PAYE; managing VAT returns; preparing financial reports for funders and advising the (volunteer) directors.
The post is based at the EPIKS office in the Media Centre, Huddersfield. Working from home is an option. The postholder would be expected to work at least one day or part day on a fixed, regular day to allow for collaboration with other team members.
The postholder will work closely with our part time Business Administrator.
Job Description:
Produce monthly financial management accounts and support the directors in all financial matters.
Support directors and staff in budget preparation and managing multiple funding streams.
Bookkeeping - keep records, pay suppliers, raise invoices.
Use of Quick Books online.
Record keeping – ensure appropriate records are kept to support evaluation of funding bids and any funding claims involved.
Operate PAYE wages and process expense claims.
In conjunction with our accountants, prepare company annual accounts and relevant end of year returns.
Make returns to Companies House.
Ensure VAT returns are made and appropriate records kept.
Assist team members in compiling reports to funders and sponsors.

Good working knowledge of computer applications – spreadsheets, email/internet/websites
Knowledge and broad experience of presentation of accounts
Experience of bookkeeping systems

The Finance Manager will lead on bookkeeping, financial management, and providing support and advice to budget holders. They will collaborate with the Director on financial planning and reporting, and will be responsible for reviewing and implementing best practices, ensuring that the charity’s financial functions are fit for its size, purpose, and growth.

Main Purpose and Scope of the job
To support the Head of People with the provision of consistent and reliable Human Resources support in relation to policies and practices and with the practical application of employment law.
You will actively engage with managers to bring employee relation issues to resolution and proactively monitor trends and themes across the organisation. and will play a key part in the employee lifecycle with emphasis on recruitment processes, attraction and retention.
You will provide coaching and support to line managers in relation to all aspects of early or informal employee relations including but not limited to; Probation, performance management and capability processes, grievance and disciplinary investigations. You will Actively provide guidance to staff and managers through employee relation processes seeking early resolutions and restorative conversations in the first instance. Actively take the lead on formal employee relation case work such as grievances, suspensions, investigations and present at hearings.
Reporting and monitoring of sickness/absence levels, advising line managers to ensure a consistent approach is taken to reduce absenteeism. Oversee all Stage 1,2 and 3 absence meetings and OH reports where required.
Be integral to all organisational change developments including recommendations for change, structure and job design. Ensure organisational change is managed sensitively and in line with policy and employment law. Assist on organisational restructures and TUPE regulations in times of expansion and growth.

About the Role
This is a key role to support our Operations Co-ordinator with accounting and financial administration of the charity.
Responsibilities
- Managing and recording all financial transactions of the business, journal entries, sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, general ledger management, banking, making payments, staff expenses, credit control, weekly and monthly reporting to management, closing the sales ledger and purchase ledger at the end of each month, ensuring all month end journals are posted and any other duties as required by the organisation

- Kashflow software experience preferred but not essential
