The Administrative Manager is a vital part of our team coordinating all the administrative and operational areas of the charity enabling the missionary staff to focus on sharing the Gospel with Jewish people. The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a District Property Secretary. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. They will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property and will work in collaboration with the churches and circuits within the District, providing oversight of the properties owned by the District. Safeguarding: 

The role-holder will have experience working according to ethical and good practice safeguarding principles. They will be expected to adhere to and promote Amna’s Safeguarding Policies as they will be involved and responsible for programmes working with children and vulnerable groups in different settings. 

How Will you Make a Difference?  

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level administrative support to Amna’s CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Trustees. This includes administrative help such as managing calendars, drafting communications and briefings, planning, and organising meetings, inbox support, travel, office administration and personal assistance. It also includes working on and managing special projects including research, data analysis, preparation for public speaking, writing and research. 

This dynamic and creative position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills including strong written and verbal skills, the ability to work with little supervision, and manage simultaneous priorities within the leadership team.

The role holder will report to the CEO. 

Key areas of responsibilities: 

CEO/SLT Support 

• Work closely with the CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Act as a "barometer", staying attuned to the internal and external environment and keeping the CEO updated on relevant issues. 

• Anticipate the needs of the CEO and SLT in advance of meetings, conferences, and public appearances. 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CEO and SLT team, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature. 

• Liaise between the CEO and SLT to ensure regular communications and smooth decision-making. 

• Provide sophisticated calendar management for Amna’s CEO and the SLT. Prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts and exercising tact; make judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements. 

• Prioritize and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect CEO’s and SLT members style and Amna’s values and policies. 

• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to coordinate the CEO’s outreach activities. Follow up on contacts made by the CEO to cultivate ongoing relationships. 

• Writing and managing documentation and data sets for the CEO and SLT as needed, including briefing papers, correspondence and talking points. 

• Leading and managing special projects including research for Amna’s, CEO’s and SLT’s contribution to future books, podcasts and articles. 

• Maintain an organized filing system for documents, records, and correspondence related to the CEO, SLT and board. 

Admin and travel management

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all administrative functions 

• Assist in the preparation and execution of organizational events. 

• Research and propose the most efficient and cost-effective travel options, including flights, trains, and accommodations.

• Prepare detailed travel itineraries, including transportation, accommodation, meeting times, and addresses. 

• Book accommodations that suit the requirements of the trip, ensuring comfort and proximity to meeting venues. 

• Manage group bookings for team members traveling together to streamline costs and logistics. 

• Handle travel expense reports, ensuring compliance with Amna policies and timely reimbursement. 

• Occasional travel may be required.

Board support 

• Manage due diligence and onboarding processes for new Trustees, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping. 

• Organize tailored training sessions for Board members. 

• Maintain up-to-date records of Board members, including contact information, terms of service, and compliance documents. 

• Assist Board members with travel expense claims and ensure accurate processing. 

• Compile, organize, and distribute materials for Board meetings, including reports and presentations. 

• Edit and format Board papers to ensure consistency and professionalism. 

• Coordinate logistics for Board meetings, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and required technology or equipment. 

• Attend Board meetings to provide administrative support, take minutes, and document actions and decisions. Distribute minutes promptly and track follow-up actions. 

• Develop and implement comprehensive induction plans for new Trustees. 

• Facilitate introductions and provide orientation materials to integrate new Board members effectively. 

Governance and Compliance 

• Support the CEO and committee chairs in adhering to the organization’s governance framework. 

• Maintain a centralized, up-to-date register of governance documents for easy access by senior staff and Trustees. 

• Ensure the organization complies with GDPR regulations in relation to all Board activities. 

• Work with the CEO and Chair to ensure the Board is informed about safeguarding practices and remains accountable. 

• Support emerging governance practices and Trustee development in partnership with the CEO and Chair. 

• Plan and execute Trustees’ regulatory obligations, including registering them with appropriate bodies. 

  Qualifications and Experience:  

• Minimum of 4-7 years of progressively responsible and diversified administrative experience, experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Excellent research skills and experience in writing briefing papers 

• Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail. 

• Ability to work both independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. 

• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software; ability to design and edit graphic presentations and materials. 

• Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. 

• Demonstrable commitment to Amna values and mission. 

• Legal understanding or experience with the Charity Commission is preferred. 

• Non-profit board experience is preferred.

Remuneration Package

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting for an Operations Officer to play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have grown rapidly in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. We are now expanding our operations team to support the larger staff team and delivery of our strategy.

This role will support the organisation’s ongoing development by helping ensure the charity has necessary systems in place and operates in line with its policies and procedures. You will support the organisation’s IT systems, digital transformation, HR, finance and administrative processes. Your responsibilities will include:

· Supporting the operation and improvement of systems that maintain delivery of our mission such as office management and administration, IT and HR

· Work closely with the Operations and Officer Manager to implement digital transformation to ensure that the organisation is using the best tools and working in as efficient a manner as possible

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £31,294 with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are located between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. At the time of posting this advert, none of our staff are going into the office every day. There might also be occasional travel outside London with plenty of notice. Annual leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).

ANTRUK is a small UK patient organisation for people impacted by antibiotic and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Our legitimacy to advocate for change, with policy makers and NHS organisations, comes from our research projects, our engagement with patients and their families, and from our direct support of patients through our information service and peer-support activities. In addition to our direct services, we have a fundraising team and a small central services function.

Role
 
You will be providing HR advice on operational services across the employee lifecycle, in line with HR policies and procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• To provide expert advice to line managers and staff on the application of policy and procedures and Employee Relations matters.
• To support line managers with a range of complex Employee Relations case management
• Look to develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures, guidance documents and templates while ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
• Provide information and give guidance on new and updated policies to line managers and staff
• To advise line managers on a range of change management issues, including non-renewal of fixed-term contract procedures, restructures, redeployment / redundancy procedures and TUPE transfers
• To assist the HR Business Partner with the delivery of HR related training, including managing your people series, probation and induction training,
• Liaise with the training team on any outcomes of ER cases
• To manage the performance of the Assistant HR Adviser and HR Administrator throughout the year via regular meetings and the annual appraisal process

We are recruiting for a Legal Clinic Manager (maternity cover) who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Dickson Poon School of Law’s award-winning clinic, King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’).  The Clinic aims to improve access to justice and educate King’s students by providing free legal advice to members of the public through its Legal Advice Clinic; and working with local and international organisations on research and justice projects.

The Clinic is a busy legal office and learning environment.  Clinic staff work closely and collaboratively with law students (curricular and extracurricular) and a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

About the role

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’), under the direction of the Clinic Director and Assistant Director. The Legal Clinic Manager has line management responsibility for the Legal Clinic Coordinator and Legal Clinic Administrator.

Daily Clinic activities include supervising students in the processing of potential client enquires across the in-house Legal clinics; suitability and conflict checks with law firm partners; allocation of cases to student advisors and internal and external supervisors; delivery and organisation of the Clinic’s research and justice projects and training program.

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring the Clinic works smoothly, efficiently and is a positive learning environment and workplace for students and Clinic staff.

The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, project management, and communication skills.  An ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients. The position is likely to be of particular interest to a well-organised, proactive individual with experience of working in and managing in a legal environment and/or Higher Education with good academic qualifications. A background in legal practice and/or process improvement work, and demonstrable interest in access to justice is desirable.

The role is a full-time post (1FTE) offered on a 12 months fixed term contract, starting in the first week of July 2025 with the possibility of extension.  The role is based in King’s Legal Clinic (Strand Campus) and will require regular attendance on campus.  Some remote working is possible by prior agreement with the Clinic Director.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive, committed and skilled Governance Officer to join the team.

In this role you will provide a comprehensive, high quality secretariat service, particularly to the Bishop’s Council, which acts as the Board of Directors of the Diocesan Board of Finance (income £30M, assets £520m, over 100 staff) and oversees a wide range of activity.

The Diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England covering the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire with a thousand parishes, church schools and chaplaincies.  It is active in environmental action, addressing poverty and inequality, supporting children and youth work and much, much more.

You will ensure that meetings are scheduled and organised, agendas created, minutes recorded, and action lists monitored; elections organised and appointments made; governance advice given; relevant policies are in place and statutory registers are maintained.  You will have the opportunity to be in the room when most of the organisation’s key decisions are taken. You will be required to work occasional evenings (1 each in May and December) and Saturdays (1 each in March, June and November), with time off in lieu.

About You

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of our staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins this work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.

To be successful in this role you will be an initiative-taker with strong administrative, governance support and minute-taking experience and ideally have previously worked with senior stakeholders.
