About the Role
Reporting to our Marketing Manager this role plays an important part in supporting SIB’s strategy and focus.

Key responsibilities
Marketing
1 Working with Marketing Manager to implement the Marketing Strategy, including contributing to campaigns, messages and stakeholder relations.
2. Supporting the implementation of marketing plans for specific funds, working with our delivery partners and sub-contractors, as appropriate, and helping with programme and fund roundtables and events.
3. Supporting the Director of Investments and the Marketing Manager in delivering new business strategies by providing market analysis and data, publicity plans, key messages, event planning, set up and coordination as necessary.
4. Supporting the Marketing Manager with marketing contacts in partner, investee and other stakeholder organisations, maintaining contacts and ensuring that SIB funds and programmes are represented across sector events and in peer publications.
5. Liaise with the Business Development Manager to contribute effectively to new tenders, including supplying accurate marketing and communications data and deliverable activities.
Communications
6. Working with the CEO, Deputy CEO and Marketing Manager to implement the Marketing Strategy, including developing and managing campaigns, messages and stakeholder relations.
7. Supporting the development of content and publications as required including newsletters, brochures and reports, case studies, blogs, articles, website content, e-newsletter content.
8. Working with the Marketing Manager and Policy and Communications Manager to liaise with external networks – national, third sector and key regional press contacts, other communications managers – to increase the reach of SIB’s work and to disseminate it widely.
9. To adopt our continuous improvement and learning ethos.

About this role:
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Communications and Policy Manager will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and policy work and its reach and influence.
Key responsibilities
1. Support the delivery of a comprehensive plan for our communications and policy activity, combining ongoing promotional communications, specific activities for funds and programmes, and proactively generated content and opportunities to influence
2. Co-ordinating with SIB partners in developing and delivering communication work, on major projects such as the Youth Investment Fund, the Recovery Loan Fund and the Enterprise Development Programme; ensuring that it is powered by data and customer insight of the highest quality
3. Keeping track of policy developments in areas of strategic importance to SIB, notably in social investment, youth, community energy and infrastructure investment. Writing briefings on key policy developments related to SIB’s strategic priorities, proactively identifying opportunities to further our policy agenda; also researching and preparing responses for relevant external consultations, using SIB data and evidence
4. Identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key policy, research and communications stakeholders
5. Attending and providing oversight to the Social Investment Forum, as part of SIB’s secretariat and hosting
6. Writing, editing and producing engaging and relevant content at pace for web, social media and e-newsletters, as well as earned and paid channels
7. Management of any external suppliers of communications and policy activities, including agencies, designers, consultants and think tanks
8. Working with the Marketing Manager, Marketing and Events Coordinator, Business Development Manager and wider team to deliver successful external events with customers, stakeholders and partners including attendance at Party Conferences.

Location and travel

Purpose of the post
HDR UK is seeking to appoint an experienced and hands-on Project Coordinator to deliver vital UK-wide initiatives which focus on building public trust and confidence in the use of data and statistics in research. Reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement at HDR UK and the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager at DARE UK, this new and pivotal role will work with several PEDRI and DARE UK partner organisations. The role will be key to supporting and drawing on the expertise of organisations across the data research and statistics sector in the UK to embed meaningful public engagement and involvement in data research.
PEDRI has set up its approach and delivery plan until March 2027 and needs a skilled and collaborative Project Coordinator to drive the delivery of this plan. The role holder will bring effective project coordinating tools and skills to work with and support organisations, teams and senior leaders to deliver on objectives across communications, events and stakeholder involvement and engagement. Additionally, the post holder will directly support one of PEDRI’s founding partners; DARE UK’s public involvement and engagement functions and will have a central role in working across the data research and statistics ecosystem. The post holder will draw on expertise to enable shared knowledge and good practise-based learning about involvement and engagement of patients, the public and practitioners in data science.
The successful candidate will share HDR UK’s values, have strong collaboration skills, excellent communications skills, be comfortable with supporting multiple projects at pace in a complex organisation and demonstrate a clear willingness and passion to support organisations within the Initiative to trial, develop and deliver innovative approaches to engagement.
Main responsibilities
- Organise and administer PEDRI meetings including the Governing Board, Steering Group and Public Advisory Group meetings, annual Away Days and ad-hoc working group meetings whilst ensuring agendas, meeting notes and actions are sent out in a timely manner
- Support the delivery of detailed project plan for PEDRI, reporting on progress, and highlighting key milestones and risks to key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain partnerships with PEDRI partners and facilitate the involvement of key stakeholders throughout the Initiative
- Support the Initiative Co-Leads with meeting set up, note taking and following on actions as needed.
- Co-ordinate regular reports from different working groups and prepare relevant updates for onward communication
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Act as the ‘point of contact’ for the Initiative across partner organisations ensuring they are kept updated, receive all information in a timely manner and that any issues are dealt with in a sensitive manner
- Support small working groups to develop full scale project plans and programme of activities, define outcomes, schedule project timelines, assign individual responsibilities and timescales and identify requirements including for wider stakeholder engagement
- Manage the development of communications materials such as standardised presentation and communication decks
- Support the commissioning of external suppliers to support delivery of the Initiative’s communications and/or events, managing relationships and project managing delivery to time and budget.
- Organise, co-ordinate and support high quality events to engage with a wide range of audiences, managing event logistics, evaluating effectiveness, providing follow-up communications and ensuring event outputs, impacts and learnings are disseminated widely
- Work with the Communications and Engagement Lead to maintain a calendar of communication, events and engagement activities, coordinated across partner organisations
- Work with the Communications and Engagement Lead to develop and manage a series of PEDRI webinars
- Working with colleagues across partner organisations, maintain relevant media and communication contact lists in HubSpot (CRM)
- Manage PEDRI’s monthly bulletin, seeking updates from all partners in a timely manner to ensure the update is ready for circulation
- Manage PEDRIs social media channels with support from HDR UK’s comms colleagues, updating and posting regularly
- Work with the senior managers and partner organisations to source and apply for further funding, being clear on resource requirements
- Support finance tracking and liaise with the HDR UK Finance team
- Arrange, submit and process payments for Public Advisory Groups and public contributors involved in the work
Experience
- Experience of working with the public and supporting PPIE activities
- Experience in supporting project management with an ability to apply management principles and processes and proactively manage risk
- Demonstrable success in delivering complex programmes/ running several projects at once to similar timeframes with conflicting priorities and many collaborating organisations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent experience of defining and documenting requirements from multiple stakeholders and facilitating collaboration across teams and/or organisations to help create and co-deliver shared goals
- Demonstrable experience of planning, running and evaluating successful activities and events
- Experience of facilitating, supporting meetings, minuting and preparing presentations
- Excellent experience of supporting and communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including written communications (e.g. news stories, case studies)
- Experience of managing and utilising social media channels and other communication channels for organisations or initiatives.
- Experience of successfully using a range of software packages and tools to support delivery of tasks such as HubSpot, Trello, Monday, Survey Monkey, MS Forms as well as traditional GANTT style planning.

upReach is recruiting for our unique Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about social mobility, and looking to gain exposure to various aspects of charity management whilst working with university students who are exploring their career options. About the FCLP
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (both with university partners or employer partners) and more!
In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month rotations. After your initial 18 months and the completion of 3 six-month rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship to further develop your leadership skills.
Throughout the programme, you will receive dedicated internal training developing your leadership skills building your confidence in the role.
Through our partnership with The Circle Line, you will be part of a supportive peer group, offered regular personal development training workshops online and in-person on their '12 Tools for Life'. You will also be able to choose your own practitioner to support you with 1:1 sessions throughout the programme to help you unlock more of your unique potential.
What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18-months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

The Role

As a Training and Engagement Coordinator to the Scotland Team, you will provide effective and efficient co-ordination of resources and support, primarily related to our accredited courses, Idaa and DACA, as well as our open course and bespoke training, when capability allows. You will work alongside the Training Lead and Senior Training and Engagement Coordinator and occasionally help support with our Safer, Sooner and Authentic Voice operational work.

The Child Brain Injury Trust was originally set up by a group of medical professionals. The organisation has evolved over the years and is now the leading UK organisation supporting families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury. Working in consultation and collaboration with families and professionals, the charity aims to ensure families can access the support they need, when they need it and to ensure they have the best possible chance of reaching their potential.
As Head of our Brain Injury Service, you will be joining the charity at an exciting time, as we have just launched our new five-year strategy – Elevating families, enriching futures. The strategy is our most exciting yet as we look to increase our reach and embed 4 key areas of support: early intervention (currently we work in major trauma centres and specialist hospitals across the UK), community inclusion, educational services and virtual support. Although our programme delivery model is not completely defined and embedded, we have a strong framework and a dedicated team who are eager and committed to our strategic goals. We are developing our service in line with the future needs of families and as such we are looking to appoint an individual who is passionate about childhood acquired brain injury, team development and leadership. By joining an inclusive, compassionate and forward-thinking team, you will be part of developing and growing our highly regarded charity.
The purpose of this role is to provide overall strategic input, direction, development and operational management for the national brain Injury support service. To lead our whole brain injury service team to achieve the five-year strategy.
As well as exceptional leadership and management skills, you will need to enjoy developing and maintaining relationships with a large range of key stakeholders from the clinical, legal and corporate sectors.
We are looking for a confident and experienced individual who has evidenced previous compassionate leadership experience which will be essential and your values will lead your success.
