Barnsley CVS has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about meaningful funding for communities and the charity and voluntary sector. The Fund Manager will take the lead on the design and delivery of our grants programme to the VCSE sector in Barnsley. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the full life-cycle of our grant-making, placing communities at the heart of our approach and being responsible for collecting data and reporting on our learning. In this coming year, you will be responsible for grant schemes such as mental health and suicide prevention; and supporting pathways in to work for those who are economically inactive. You will need excellent literacy skills, strong financial reporting knowledge and the ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences. You will be comfortable with innovative thinking to help create reporting and management systems that are easy to operate for charities of all sizes whilst meeting the wider funding requirements.
Your role will also include the design, development and delivery of training to VCSE organisations on successful grant writing and management.
This role has the potential to develop beyond one year funding as opportunities arise for Barnsley CVS to deliver further grant programmes. As part of your role, you will work closely with the executive team in the negotiation and design of these opportunities. Barnsley CVS have delivered a grant programme for the last 5 years which has ranged from Covid funding to cancer awareness to Family support funding.

Role summary
This role will support the expanding Fundraising team with all fundraising activities to ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Alcohol Change UK supporters. The Fundraising Assistant will undertake the financial administration and recording of all fundraising income as well as being the first point of contact for the team ensuring Alcohol Change UK delivers high levels of supporter care.

Thanks to National Lottery players, TDC has been awarded almost £1.3 million over three years to empower underrepresented communities in Brighton & Hove to participate in climate action.
In partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council, Community Works, Climate Outreach and 14 local organisations, the Climate for Communities project will produce accessible, community-based climate activities, which address the increased cost of living and the health and wellbeing challenges being experienced by people as a result.
The long-term vision of the project is for the city to become a thriving ecosystem of accessible, inclusive and impactful climate activity, with a green economy that brings communities together with public, private, education and voluntary sectors to ensure a just and equitable transition to a sustainable future.

Role summary
The Director of Admissions and Service Development (DASD) will play a pivotal role in shaping our admissions processes and service offer through utilising deep subject matter expertise of the needs and landscape for CYA with complex needs. Seashell’s national and regional networks will be strengthened and utilised through the DASD leadership of our ‘Complex Needs Mapping’ programme of work. They will promote Seashell’s role as a strategic partner, working in collaboration with commissioners and service providers to ensure CYA are supported by the right services, at the right time to achieve optimum outcomes whilst making best use of public funds.
This senior leadership position is responsible for the oversight and enhancement of our admissions process providing a single ‘front door’ into Seashell. The postholder will lead on Service Development initiatives to ensure they align with our organisational goals and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
Working with the COO and Senior Leadership Operations Team colleagues, the DASD will define the admissions criteria to enable and support the best outcomes for the CYA and families who we support. Optimising occupancy across all service areas through efficient and effective admission, transfer and discharge processes, leadership and operational direction of the multi-disciplinary admissions function will be a key responsibility.
In addition, you will lead on development of Seashell’s ‘Knowledge Hub’ – our new external training, advisory and resource offer to professionals and practitioners to build their knowledge and skills in supporting young people with complex needs within their current settings and areas.
Developing strong links with commissioners and other external stakeholders, you will ensure a positive external profile of the services that Seashell offers, seeking opportunities for collaborative working and strategic opportunities for service developments.

Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A postgraduate degree in environmental studies, climate change, or water governance.
- 5+ years’ experience in international assistance, policy analysis, and advocacy.
- Proven ability to engage with civil society, government agencies, and donors.
- Strong expertise in WASH, climate finance, and governance.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with experience in policy brief development.
- Willingness and ability to travel in Canada and internationally, sometimes in difficult environments (when travel is permitted).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality briefing notes, policy briefs, and influencing plans in English.
Desirable:
- Experience working in low- and middle-income countries.
- Proficiency in French or other WaterAid working languages.

About You
