As our Senior Research Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.

Healthwatch Barnet is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future.

Kent Community Foundation (KCF) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Finance and Governance to oversee the Foundation’s finance functions and ensure compliance with charity law and regulatory requirements. This role is key to ensuring that financial reporting is clear and accurate and that all policies and procedures are current and fit for purpose.
In this role, you will provide financial oversight, ensuring that processes are both efficient and compliant. You will act as the main contact for investment houses, banks and auditors, ensuring that financial reporting is clear and accurate. You will also support the Board of Trustees, preparing papers for board and committee meetings and assisting with trustee recruitment, training, and evaluations. You will also oversee other governance duties including the updating of the Foundation’s policies to ensure legal compliance and best practice, as well as submitting returns to the relevant regulatory bodies, such as the Charity Commission and Companies House.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or have equivalent experience, with a strong background in financial management and a working knowledge of Xero software. Knowledge of charity governance and reporting is essential. Experience in the voluntary sector, along with knowledge of systems such as Salesforce and Sage Payroll, would be highly beneficial.
Flexible working hours are available with 25 hours per week minimum.

The Head of Development and Impact will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, creating a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. The Head of Development, Operations and Impact is required to lead a wide range of activities. You will be expected to manage your own time, prioritising tasks and leading a small team of people who contribute to CARAS’ fundraising. General

Fundraising

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a refuge worker within a refuge service, supporting women and their children fleeing domestic abuse. Your responsibilities will include supporting and advocating for women and children, taking part in the on-call rota, managing day to day running of the refuge; health & safety, safeguarding, supporting the service and deputy manager.

You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. While raising funds from multiple income streams, focus growths areas will be statutory and Trust and foundation funding securing six-figure, multiple-year grants and contracts. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign our aims aligned to our strategic priorities.
You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer. You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.
Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).
Location: Office based with remote working available – minimum of 50% of working hours in Woman’s Trust Office, Edgware Road/Paddington, NW1.

As a Trusts and Foundations Manager you will be at the heart of our strategic vision. What you will be working on:
- You’ll secure significant income from a portfolio of Charitable Trusts and Foundations against agreed annual targets and in line with Pace strategy.

Our successful charity runs pathways which focus on employability and skills for everyday living to help young people, with SEN and learning disabilities to gain confidence and social support, alongside nationally recognised qualifications.
