The Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager is responsible for managing/maintaining our relationships with our longstanding corporate partners, and for recruiting and engaging their volunteers for our school programmes.
A key element of the role is identifying and presenting volunteer opportunities to prospective corporate partners, fostering new relationships, and expanding the organisation’s volunteer network. The Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager will actively seek to diversify our corporate partnerships by engaging companies across wider industry sectors.
In addition to recruitment, the Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager oversees all volunteer logistics, including maintaining volunteer records and distributing relevant briefing materials to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles.
About You
The following skills may have been gained from a variety of previous roles. You may have managed volunteers or being an account/relationship manager for corporate clients. You may have been a teacher, managing classroom dynamics and education systems. You may have experience coordinating events or conferences where you were responsible for looking after delegates from booking to post event. Or you may come from a training provider or similar where you coordinated a calendar of events and interfaced with organisations and individuals.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This Support Worker role is on a 4 week rolling rota which includes a combination of early (8.00 - 16.00) and late (14.00 - 22.00) shifts including weekends. No sleep in's required.

Develop knowledge around the local mental health system to ensure customers receive the best treatment available
Lead on an area of specialism (e.g. ETE, health and wellbeing) and build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area

Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records, to set an example to colleagues of how best to complete paperwork records to professional standards
Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are up to date and checked regularly and managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
Being pro-active and displaying good assertive engagement skills. To advocate for their key customers and other service users with the team, the community (where appropriate) and external providers.
Alongside the management team, checking that key health and safety tasks are completed to a good standard and supporting staff with day-to-day troubleshooting and setting best example for quality.

About the role
As the head of the team, you’ll be responsible for the development,
management and maintenance of IT across all 4 of our offices located across the UK. This includes the data centre, servers, printers, copiers, applications, telecoms, mobile communications, and IT security.
You’ll also be developing and implementing an IT strategy to support our strategic and operational plans. This includes responding to internal audit and the continuing of external accreditation such a Cyber Security Plus.
Furthermore, you’ll also be responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the activities and operations of your team of 8, to ensure continuous IT delivery and support to the charity.
About you
With your strong leadership and management skills, you’ll deliver excellent customer care as the IT team, have a strategic approach to understanding the direction of technology and how this can be used to our advantage.
Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar role, with experience of managing budgets and projects, including the ability to deliver major IT and infrastructure projects. This includes being able to adapt quickly to new technology and organisational changes.

How Will You Make a Difference?
The Head of Operations collaborates closely with the CEO and SLT to oversee and manage Amna's operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of programmes to reach the communities we serve. Responsible for the efficient management of risk managemet, safety and security, administration and logistics, people and culture, finance, safeguarding, ITC, the role holder plays a key role in maintaining compliance with Amna's guidelines, donors’ rules and regulations, and local laws across programmes and operations. The Head of Operations actively contributes to Amna's mission of serving refugee and displaced communities, striving to achieve organisational goals through effective operational management.
The Head of Operations reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing a dedicated team of three, a Finance Manager, People and Culture Manager and an Operations Officer.
Key responsibilities:
Comprehensive Risk and Safety Management:
- Conduct risk assessments taking into account the diverse geographical locations of team members, organizational partners, and the nature of projects.
- Assess risks related to grant funding, considering factors such as grant application processes, funding disbursement, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement risk management plans specific to partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Stay informed about international and local regulations impacting the NGO sector, ensuring organizational compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all operating regions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in managerial roles within international/NGO organizations, with a focus on HR, administration, IT, financial management, risk management and legal affairs.
- Understanding of UK Charity Commission regulations.
- Experience with cloud services and knowledge of IT policies and procedures.
- Deep understanding of DEI principles and proven experience in championing DEI initiatives within organizations.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, and grant management within the NGO sector.
- Expertise in conducting risk assessments, developing risk management plans, and ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.

Remuneration Package

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
This exciting role will support on the delivery of income from a range of high-value donors within our philanthropy and corporate income streams. This position is key for both Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid and the postholder will work closely with the teams’ senior leadership, enabling the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Executive Director to build successful funding partnerships.
The Corporate and Philanthropy Executive will be an effective communicator with a flair for writing, results-focused and well-organised. This role best suits someone who is eager to learn and work as part of a tight-knit and successful team, and who can respond creatively and consistently to our current and future donors’ requests.
The candidate will preferably have some experience working or volunteering in the charity sector, and we welcome applications from candidates with transferrable experience, such as working in a client-facing role, in a communications position, copywriting or in event-planning.
As Corporate and Philanthropy Executive, you will be reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and will have an allocation of your time dedicated to directly supporting the Executive Director of Fundraising and Communications to achieve ambitious but realistic team income targets.

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

You will be confident in working with a variety of stakeholders, including journalists, lawyers and marginalised communities. You will be proactive, able to build and maintain relationships, develop effective cross-channel communications and manage a varied workload. You will be both able and happy to turn your hand to strategic thinking alongside day-to-day delivery, such as copy-editing news pieces for our website or writing press releases. You’ll be engaged with social justice campaigning and social media with an ability to identify and take advantage of relevant communications opportunities.
