We’re looking for a dedicated Psychotherapist/Counselling Psychologist to provide psychological support and therapy, including group and individual work, across a number of hostels in the Camden Adult Pathway, working as part of the Women’s Safe Space Project. The team works with women experiencing multiple disadvantage, trauma and homelessness who might otherwise struggle to access support. Support needs might include alcohol/substance use, VAWG, domestic abuse and sexual exploitation.
You’ll also be responsible for co-developing and delivering a program of psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapeutic support to women in the Adult Pathway that might otherwise be excluded from traditional therapeutic services. In Camden and St Mungo’s our staff teams have predominantly been trained in Psychologically Informed Environments but Safe Space also recognises Trauma Informed Care as a useful framework for this project.
In order to be effective in this role, you’ll need to establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary services. You will need to be registered and accredited with UKCP / BACP or HCPC / BPS following the completion of a psychotherapeutic/psychology training.
