In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

Early Help Development Worker

The Role

You will work as part of a city-wide team of Early Help Development Workers as well as on a locality basis to ensure that they can combine targeted work with locality needs. This will include a strong element of co production, working with residents and community assets to lead on projects and the development of new groups, services, and activities to meet the needs or improve services within the community.

The role will also focus on increasing children and family’s engagement with local assets by working with them to improve accessibility, identify gaps in provision and encourage innovation and improvements to services.

Duties and key responsibilities include:

• Engaging statutory, community and voluntary organisations in a locality and working with all communities in the city.
• Engaging with a broad range of health, education, early years and social care organisations.
• Working with community providers to enable a ‘live’ understanding of community needs and resource capacity as part of a ‘gap analysis’ of the children and families offer across the locality.
• Supporting residents to lead on community projects and the development and delivery of new groups, services, or activities to meet needs or improve services in the community.
• Working with the Family Hub to align outcomes and workstreams with Family Hubs Outcomes.
• Increasing children and families’ engagement with local assets by working with groups and organisations to improve accessibility, identify gaps in provision, and encourage innovation and improvement to services including local commissioning in line with identified needs.
• Responding to targeted areas of work on a city-wide basis.
• Alongside the Service Lead, develop and deliver communications and engagement plans.
• Engaging with the citywide Early Help network, coordinated by BVSC, including regular attendance at meetings, as appropriate.

The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Schools Worker, to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship, and to embed the Shades ethos, in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.

The Shades Schools Worker will work with the Shades team, in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Safe Space’ workshops. They will also lead Shades Ambassadors groups, for those children and young people who are passionate about growing in their understanding of racial justice, the Christian faith and becoming courageous advocates. The Shades Schools Worker will also work with Bolton parishes and mission communities to promote the Christian message of God’s love for all of his children, encouraging children, young people and adults to celebrate their God-given identities and to grow spiritually.

The Shades Schools Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to develop initiatives for children and young people. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to welcoming children and young people into the life of the church.

The post holder should have experience of volunteering with children or young people in a church and/or school context. They will have a good knowledge of anti-racism and racial justice and a strong passion for a combined focus on the Christian faith and racial justice as well as experience of working with diverse communities.

To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated and able to lead in a range of different contexts. They will be creative and able to lead and support activities in schools and parishes. They will be excellent communicators, with good interpersonal skills, sensitivity and an ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. They will be able to build and maintain effective working partnerships and have a working understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Due to an exciting period of growth within CoppaFeel!’s Fundraising Team, we are looking for a Sporting Challenge Events Manager - a dynamic fundraising events professional who will grow and manage our expanding third-party challenge events portfolio.

The role of Sporting Challenge Events Manager will sit within the CoppaFeel! Challenge Events Team, in the Fundraising Department. Working with the Senior Challenge Programme Manager and the rest of the Challenge Events team, you will be expected to grow our income in line with our 3 year fundraising growth strategy.

CoppaFeel! currently has teams of participants in some of the biggest sporting events in the UK, including London Landmarks Half Marathon, Royal Parks Half Marthon, Vitality 10k and Brighton Marathon - to name but a few! As the Sporting Challenge Events Manager, you will be committed to seeking new opportunities for growth, whilst delivering a standout supporter experience for all of our challenge event participants.

You’ll be responsible for the promotion and marketing of a range of diverse mass participation events to both warm and cold audiences, and devising engaging and inspiring stewardship journeys to ensure our participants continue to support CoppaFeel! long into the future.

You’ll need experience of managing large-scale events and raising significant income, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions. The role is very fast-paced and will require excellent attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. 

The job does require some evening and weekend work - although not behind the laptop! Instead you might be cheering on a team of runners from the sidelines of a marathon race, or meeting and greeting cyclists at the finish line of an epic ride.

 Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to attend different events across the UK and may occasionally need to stay overnight. Should you be required to work weekends, you will be entitled to time off in lieu.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office at least 2 days per week.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! exists to educate and remind every young person in the UK that checking their boobs isn’t only fun, it could save their life. We are the first breast cancer charity in the UK to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling a new healthy habit that could one day save their life.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy

• Deliver the challenge event programme using your expertise to create delivery plans, budgets, and timelines, working with key stakeholders and event organisers, meeting specific financial targets and KPI’s
• Carry out horizon scanning, looking for new opportunities to grow the portfolio, and bring new supporters to CoppaFeel!
• Support the Senior Challenge Programme Manager in developing and implementing CoppaFeel!’s 3 year challenge events strategy, which looks to grow sporting event income by 40%, year on year 

Challenge Events

• Plan, market and deliver a series of existing and new challenge and mass participation events for CoppaFeel! - such as walks, runs, cycles, swims, triathlons and more! 
• Be the delivery lead for our mass challenge events, being accountable for the planning, delivery, budgets, participant stewardship, on-the-day support, evaluation and learning.
• Work in collaboration with CoppaFeel! marketing team to lead the acquisition for new challenge event participants, ensuring we grow the number of supporters year-on-year. 
• Support CoppaFeel!’s EDI strategy, collaborating with our EDI Manager to ensure our events are accessible and open to everyone. 
• Seek out new challenge event opportunities for CoppaFeel! and carry out market research to evolve our mass participation offering.
• Be accountable for supporter journeys, from registration and delivery of engagement, to on-the-day support and thanking communication. 
• Manage  our challenge event volunteers, who give their time to support CoppaFeel!. Collaborate with the volunteer team to recruit and steward volunteers, and feed into the volunteer strategy.
• Attend third-party challenge events in-person, throughout the year

General Responsibilities

• Work across teams to improve CoppaFeel! ways of working and seek out opportunities for automating or streamlining processes
• Support the Finance team with income and expenditure reconciling, along with some general finance administration. 
• Work with Challenge Events Assistant to code the back end of fundraising platforms (eg JustGiving) to ensure accurate income reporting
• Maintain event database records and ensure supporter data is kept accurate and up to date 
• Manage volunteers and fundraisers effectively, inspiring them to support CoppaFeel! long term 
• Work and collaborate across all departments of CoppaFeel! to ensure our health messaging and core values are at the heart of everything we do
• Work flexibly and sometimes remotely, with occasional work outside core hours including weekends (time off in lieu given for weekend work)

About the role:

As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing high quality, end-to-end support to victims of crime to cope and recover. You will be responsible for establishing contact with victims to assess the impact of crime and providing appropriate information and support. As the needs and experiences of our clients are wide-ranging, the support you will provide will range from brief interventions over the telephone to longer term 1:1 and telephone based support.

You will be working from home to deliver services across Avon & Somerset, Dorset and Hampshire.

You will need:

You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. You should have demonstrable experience of working in a similar setting or position. An ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload is essential.

Working with young people in a variety of educational settings, St. Giles’ SOS+ Service delivers early intervention work, through one-to-one mentoring and preventative sessions on violence, vulnerability and exploitation.  The mission of SOS+ is to prevent children and young people becoming involved in gangs and youth violence by equipping them with tools, knowledge and support delivered by experts with lived experience.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will focus on overseeing the delivery of the SOS+ Embedded Mentor Programme to targeted at risk students.  You will also be expected to establish and maintain positive relationships with students to provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship and to address individual student needs and challenges, utilising personal experiences, local knowledge, professional skills and SOS+ materials to offer support and intervention.

We will count on you to assist students in setting and achieving academic, personal, and career goals and help them to develop positive, pro-social attitudes, behaviour and social skills, while also collaborating with professionals to support and develop strategies to minimise the risk to students. Supporting and/or co-delivering whole school awareness sessions; professional sessions; and parent/carer sessions is a vital duty, as is maintaining open and effective communication with mentees, professionals, parents/carers and partners and keeping accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes in line with delivery SOS+ protocols.

About the Role

Camden Kaleidoscope, located in London, is an innovative, specialist-supported accommodation service focusing on mental health and complex needs. As a Service Manager you will lead a dedicated team to provide trauma-informed mental health support to young people between ages 16-24, an understanding and/or experience of trauma-informed practice would be advantageous. The purpose of the role is to ensure the Cathedral is a safe place for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults always. 

The role of Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) will be key to ensuring that all those involved in the life of the Cathedral, including cathedral staff and volunteers, are aware of and understand the safeguarding measures needed to ensure that Worcester Cathedral is an inclusive and safe place for all. 

It is both a proactive and responsive role, helping to strengthen our safeguarding culture, promoting best practice, supporting others to meet their safeguarding responsibilities, overseeing casework and responding swiftly and appropriately to any specific safeguarding concerns. The role will have both strategic and operational elements, helping to develop strategic plans for improving our safeguarding provision and taking the lead on ensuring that practical progress is made.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the Cathedral’s governing body (the Chapter) and Senior Executive Team (SET) are supported in fulfilling their responsibilities as they relate to safeguarding. 

Respond to all safeguarding concerns and incidents, supporting victims and survivors, advising staff and volunteers, and overseeing safeguarding agreements. Be visible and accessible to cathedral staff and volunteers, helping them recognise, response, and properly record all concerns, and determining what referrals are necessary. Provide focussed support where there is frequent engagement with young people and vulnerable adults including: 

• The Welcome Team 
• Day Chaplains 
• The Music team 
• The Learning Team
• The Clergy
• Lay Readers, and 
• Other lay ministers 

To undertake casework as necessary, including: 

• Supporting individuals (and staff and volunteers involved) as required. 
• Undertaking risk assessments and safety plans and, with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), manage any allegations against staff and volunteers. 
• Keep casework records electronically, in line with the protocols and templates mandated by the Church of England or required by the DSA. 
• Undertake an annual review of safeguarding policies, practices and relevant documents e.g. Cathedral Safeguarding Handbook and advise the Chapter on developments in safeguarding practice and regulation
• Undertake safeguarding risk assessments, draw up safety plans and monitor implementation as required. 
• Collaborate with the People Administrator and Diocesan Safeguarding Team to ensure that appropriate and necessary training is delivered and documented for all staff and volunteers.
• Determine the training needs for all those who work in the cathedral (staff and volunteers), meeting the requirements of the Church of England and developing context-specific training for key roles. 
• Provide quarterly safeguarding reports to the Safeguarding Committee and other committees / groups and as required. 
• Lead on safeguarding projects on behalf of the Cathedral. 
• Co-ordinate the Cathedral’s response to Safeguarding Audits and other work required by the National Safeguarding Team (NST) or Church of England.

About You
You will have substantial experience in a safeguarding role previously.

Qualifications / Experience Required

• Proven experience of managing the delivery of effective safeguarding operations.
• Proven experience of managing complex safeguarding casework. 
• Experience of working at a strategic level, at least at middle manager level, influencing decision-making and implementation.
• Knowledge of the statutory framework, pertaining to safeguarding.
• The ability to communicate the importance of safeguarding to non-safeguarding audiences.
• Confidence to challenge senior leaders, to ensure best practice in safeguarding in all areas of the Cathedral's life.
• Curiosity about the complexity of the Cathedral, and the particular challenges and opportunities that creates good safeguarding practice.
